Just chiming in to say that it’s okay to be treated for mental health imbalances as well as strongly continue on your spiritual path! :) psychosis and mania CAN connect you to spiritual things and concepts your brain normally can’t connect to, but spirituality is ‘choice’, which is why bipolar is considered a mental illness bc we cannot choose to be tapped in or not as well as cannot interpret our experiences the same as we would while not in the midst of an episode. With spiritual practices we can tap into those same things with protection and a deeper perceptive experience than if we were thrust into it thru psychosis. Pile number 3 fitted me to a tee. I've always picked up strongly on energies of people and places, so much so that I really don't enjoy the energies of shopping malls and grocery stores. Just chiming in to say that it’s okay to be treated for mental health imbalances as well as strongly continue on your spiritual path! :) psychosis and mania CAN connect you to spiritual things and concepts your brain normally can’t connect to, but spirituality is ‘choice’, which is why bipolar is considered a mental illness bc we cannot choose to be tapped in or not as well as cannot interpret our experiences the same as we would while not in the midst of an episode. With spiritual practices we can tap into those same things with protection and a deeper perceptive experience than if we were thrust into it thru psychosis. I’m on depakote and still as spiritual and connected as I’ve ever been, minus the ‘whirlwind’ that happens when too much info is coming at your brain and bc ur in an episode it’s overwhelming and energizing in a ‘bad’ way, which leads to real and painful consequences other than spiritual awakening.

Pile number 3 fitted me to a tee. I've always picked up strongly on energies of people and places, so much so that I really don't enjoy the energies of shopping malls and grocery stores.
