Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
00000000
I would give this movie a 9, it´s simply fantastic. The story, the actors, simply amazing.
Super 💯
9/10
100/100
The scene where Malik cuts the men free got to me. He finally understood just what his friend was even though he knew that he was a slave trader but he had opened his eyes to the cruel world that also his mother had gone through. Him freeing the slaves and watching his friend die i believe was his opening his eyes moment. It was like he was freeing himself per say.
The slaves also knew that he wasn't like the others as shown that they only went after Santo and it did at least to me look like Malik was pushed or pulled out of the boat while Santo was dragged to the water and drowned. As well as telling Malik to get in the boat was also a way of saying thank you and to come with them. Malik was one of them in a way. He showed them that he was not with the slave traders.
I'll take it a step further. When he first came to the city and saw what was happening, he had mix feelings then
@@kendallbedford2523 I forgot about that as well. I think he may have felt as well as finally see how his mother was treated since his mother is Dahomey and most likely bought by his father or someone else and then sold to his father.
@@sassbrat Yep. After watching this movie, I did dip into the entire slave trade. Now what we learned in grade school was only pieces of the entire story that of course the country voted to take out for THEIR own reasons but come to find out, the Europeanans were coming to take over their kingdom's regardless so the only way they could save themselves was by selling their people off or buying weapons.
i've never really heard about this movie, but from seeing a few clips it looks soooooo cool
Great movie! Enjoyed every bit of it.
I Love this movie
This tells you that men aren’t always alphas change the game
Love and respect for our African brothers and sisters
Whether the facts of the movie was true or not..when it comes to black history nobody seems to get it right..a movie is only shit when ppl don't know the history..slavery wasn't just a black ppl thing..slavery began long before Africa.
10/10
This movie is so greatly done ..part 2 will be awesome.. ❤
This was therapeutic to watch . That’s what films are for. To tell a different perspective.
Men are jealous of this movie
Men are jealous of this movie 😂😂😂....or maybe if you know your history...this movie would be more fun if it was accurate.. the worrior woman was actually the villains here selling African people into slavery for trade and resources....in some parts of Africa today some trade still hate to here the actual name of this woman warrior tribe
🙄
I'm not a male, and I know the history of Dahomey, they willingly engaged in slavery of other Africans, this movie is a piece of unmitigated fiction and wishful thinking and revisionism gone wild.
Inglorious Basterds, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Both are not historically accurate but are still great movies. This is the same thing.
Maam, u are just happy by watching the movie, but the reality is an another story..
Wow l. Iike. your videos ❤❤❤
Before you people made your comments about the great African women warriors. Know the history first.
They were not the enslavers.the European devils were
your folks sold meat 1000 years before european came..and they sold meat to europeans ..the only reason why they are not selling meat today is because Europeans did say to them to stop..with guns
U know that Africans sold others to Europeans right?
Now this is the real Wakanda.
Good movie👍
Much love from sierra Leone 🇸🇱
The Dahomey Amazons ruled Africa for 200 years 💪🏽
Good movie
look at all the pale aliens in here getting offended😂
Coming from an idiot defending a tribe who fought for slavery, not against
Why would they be offended lol in reality these slave trading women got bayonetted to death by French peasants
still beats being a dumb monkey actually rooting for this film🤣
Not really.. the pales loved Dahomey for handing them over thousands of black slaves 😂
This happens to be one movie my daughter can watch repeatedly without flinching, it inspires her so much despite the so called inaccuracies in history
It's very good
So proud of them both ♥♥
What man can do woman can do better they are worriors in frensh (Amazones) they are not slaves and this movie is a storie of Danhomey name today Bénin am proud of my country ❤❤❤❤
Can't wait for the sequel called: "The Man Queen". 😂🤣
Please why don't you post the full movie but rather shorts
I like
Would like to see the whole film anyone know how?
Netflix.
This movie is so inaccurate (yet pretending it's mostly accurate) it may well be set in Wakanda, or Zamundia...
Какое 5азвание фильма и где ен смотреть
Чтобы ее оценить не обходимо с начало ее посмотреть полностью с переводом на русский язык
Ain’t no woman over powering a real soldier. These movies make women feel like they are empowered 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
You forgot about Xena... LOLOL.
Wonder how you think of your mother 😕 and being a virgin your whole life will do that to you buddy 😂
If you think that then you must only know HIStory
a lot of their fighting moves was about using the opponents weight and dodging. you can fight strong or you can fight smart.
Just dumb.
Does anyone have any semi reliable sources on the history here? No one was around to accuse which tribes of working with European slavers but maybe there are stories about the governments and soldiers?
It is quite well established that the Kingdom of Dahomey engaged in Slavery of African peoples.
Literally just go to google. Everything will pop up about the Dahomey tribe.
@@krisjackson6567 This is what the Dahomey are mostly known for dude. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahomey_Amazons
I’m asking for specific sources to the contrary. Otherwise my opinion sits with the common before movie history that the movie portrays it backwards.
❤❤❤❤
👌 👏 wow😊
I'm not sure but isn't the man i think that is lighting the slave auction platform on fire the one that is always fighting with Nanisca over everything. If it is this does show that while they may not agree on everything he does respect her to follow her as well as lose his position in the King's court.
❤❤❤❤❤
CV BIEN
Why not do a movie about the Haitian Revolution instead? Slaves defeated the three major powers, the French, English, and Soanish
Because you cannot make the audience NOT notice how well that turned out (Haiti is worse off than Cuba or Venezuela, thanks to Haitians)
There was one made in the 2000s about Toussaint. But yeah I agree a full feature film is sooo overdue!!! One of the most compelling stories of the modern era
They can make a movie about the Haitian revolution in addition to this movie. Nobody has to choose one over the other.
@@returnofthemack8347 The audience sure can...

Imagine making such a bad movie that you insult the history and the people who it was intended for. This is a true Velma moment
Well we know what color you are
Cry. The movie was good.
@@evano5635 ahhh yes, the historically innacurate movie which disrespects the culture it parodies is good
Really disrespectful of what really happened they fought the French and Spanish
It's a movie it's not about history you are swipe
LMAO....... Xena would beat their asses and not break a sweat.
Exactly
Xena was not real dumb ass 😅😂
@@kodesh1674damn you are stupid if you believe that a fake ass white woman would beat an entire army of warrior blk women
Sorry, I haven’t watched XWP, but isn’t Xena a metahuman or a Demi goddess?
yo mama is a man😩
Utter sh*te, could not be further from the truth 😂😂😂
❤.
Ur.a rose
🤔🤔🤔🤔🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯
❤😮🥷😘😃
😊
Trash, woke movie. So unrealistic
I don't like this movie
Ok, since REAL HISTORY says that the Dahomey were slaughtered in every battle against Europeans....... they actually ended the movie with a battle they won????? An unmitigated propaganda trope.
And that’s why I fell asleep
History are written to favor the white sometimes they are catalogues of lie and deciit
@@Ayo-c3o Are you slow or incapable of looking up historical facts that this dahomey tribe fought for slavery
Cry more.
History is often written and manipulated by the victors fyi.

Imagine if hero Fiennes Tiffin was in A Haunted House 2 where he plays a white cell mate gets surrounded by mark henry and a couple of other black men when they say……
“You need to hang up that computer call and come over here and kiss me on my hot mouth. Muah! I’m feeling romantical.” Lmao
P. Diddy when he find hero at his home in bed.
Lol some people remember Hero Fiennes Tiffin from the After movies, fuck that! I remember him by picked up like a baby zebra and getting his ass kicked in this scene lmao.
Dahomey was the main tribe selling slaves this inaccurate movie is trash make one that’s actually true
