Hey, please review Anker Motion+ sound guru!)
@@undulationer I second this, though I do own it, I would like Zeos's review, it is awesome. I work in a warehouse and at max volume it does a good job of filling the area I am in.
Hahaha standard
Could you hook these up to a mini Amp?? 🤔
Best intro I’ve seen in awhile hahah 😂
I have the Rig 3 + Sub 2 and fukn love it. I have CIEMs ($1000 Plunge Audio Performer CIEMs) as a reference point
I take it hiking, biking, crusiing the city on bikes, to friends places, etc. For a single small-medium room, it is literally perfect. Better than a KRK Rokit 6 monitor in my friends apartment.
Sure, not on the quality as 2 way, expensive monitors, but are those completely wireless with APTx and LDAC? Nope!
I dropped one hard on its side while biking at speed onto concrete. Just a small mark on the side, kept playing no problem as I biked back to collect it. 10/10
Not to mention they sound very detailed and yet extremely 'fun'
Seriously impressed. I've had dozens of sound setups of the years and these are some of my favorites. Super durable, very well made, and extremely good quality sound. Highly recommend. I just need stereo MR3's and to upgrade to the Sub3. Freaking impressive engineering, and you're supporting a good company out of the heart of an awesome music scene in Bristol, UK.
I've had one of those for about 8 months, I just take it everywhere... just in case, I bought it after I saw your review of the minis, no regrets. The sound quality, the build and the fact that it's made in the EU are making these worth the premium price. I KNOW I need another one of those... and maybe a sub... I know...
Lakston but.... but. Uk makes worst products in the world even their fire extinguishers fails to work
@@danyk7879 Was that an IT Crowd reference by any chance?

@@danyk7879 It's a great show in my opinion lmao
@@danyk7879 nice screensaver!
Yeah that intro sold the hell out of me.
+1 for resilient. I dropped mine off my car at about 40mph and it's been perfectly fine.
I dropped mine to dirt many times for over a year. And finally it zhit out on me a few months ago.. Opened it up and had to reattach one wire and its been going good since. Was easy to get into and repair without sending it in if you can wire anything
Worried about the grill and rain. So I bring an umbrella for my gear when I go do trail work in the wet.
I have two Minirig 1s and two 3s. I was trying to sell the original Minirigs but FOUR of them connected together is a helluva thing. Still need a subwoofer though.
I didn't even know that was possible!
Z Reviews the OG model was sold on the fact that you can chain up to 40 together. Like a tiny, awesome, audio Voltron.

Chris, do multiple minirigs make the sound just louder, or louder and better like a "real" speaker?
@@ZReviews @Chris Hansen is right (down below)
@@thechansen AND ILL FORM THE HEAD
took one of these on a 7 day holiday and had it running around 6-8hrs a day and it only needed a quick top up on the last day and that was on high gain.
so 40-50hrs on high gain is dooable.
I have a pair of Vanatoo T1's, and a pair of these. I ordered one in gold and one in silver. Got the silver one in blue from amazon... hahaha whatever. Took them out to the desert with me. Literally the single best purchase I've ever made. These are fucking amazing near field low to medium volume, and get UNREASONABLY loud, at the cost of some sound quality. We are talking like, max volume they are clearly heard from one end to the other in a 500 foot aircraft hanger, no problem. Also these are amazing for any travel. Fit in any backpack, makes any Airbnb or hotel a party. 10/10 would buy another pair.
How would you compare the T1s with them?
I want to know how this is possible from a small speaker tech wise
@@darensweeney5925Are you talking head to head? At low level very intimate listening I can honestly say that sound comparable, besides bass depth and roll off which is inevitable. Considering the T1s size and design as a real bookshelf type speaker, they walk all over the Minirigs at anything above that lower listening level. Comparing Maximum volume, the Vanatoos can get far louder, they are also 50wpc I believe, yet the Minirig 3's will also quickly deafen you permanently if you try to listen to them full blast at similair near field range. Considering the Minirigs size and portability that is damn impressive and they do really get fucking loud.
@@DaShooter12 Idk dont ask me. Haha. Harmony of not cutting corners on the choice of driver, amp tech, battery, construction, and audio processing they use. Like Zeos said. 😶
@@christianduplantier8725 Could they replace your Vanatoos?

Thanks to you I just brought the 2.1 minirig 3s with version 3 sub simply cos you recommend them I've still not heard them but I can tell they sound sik just from your descriptions. So thank you sure there gonna be amazing.
Thanks for a great review, I had just ordered 1 MiniRig3 and now I have ordered another. Stereo is so much better than mono if you love music.

@@ZReviews Hell no sir! For the money, there's other better and more practical systems that will give anyone a more pure listening experience, not colored. Those MR3 are a perfect upgrade from those who like Bose type sound tho.
I can totally understand, you're Zeos and you're here to sell and review! You used to be very credible tho... so take that as a constructive criticism at best.
@@edwingm8790 what are the other speakers you're referring to?
Well going on this review I have just ordered the minirig3 bundle not much of a saving on Black Friday but every little helps! I live in uk 🇬🇧
I’ve been buying them for years, truly amazing speakers, sadly let down by the charging cable that needs replacing from time to time😮
Zeos you truly cray cray and you should never change!
I love these speakers I was just playing around with them and I have two Minirigs 3 seating on my dining table about a foot apart and I stuck my face between them and then face down and all I can say if the come up with some headphone that sounds like that they got my money no problem.
Now we have to look for the special uncut video a.k.a. the Zeos edition for the amazing Billy Joel playback.
Oh that's Yui.
Gotta love YT - I clicked on one of the Andrew Robinson's videos and this appeared ;)
To give Andrew his due, he puts a lot of time into his videos - he just doesnt have Zeos' stream of consciousness dialog.
fuckin love my minirig 2s, just need that sub
YES! these are audiofile toys!

I find it interesting that UA-cam edited your video themselves (at least that's what it sounds like). Aside from that, that ending was hilarious! :)
It blocked it, It offered to mute or cut.. I said Cut.. It did. I just wanted to hear billy.
Thank you for taking us into the world of Minirigs. I am almost blind, and therefore I can’t see the pictures. I want to use two Minirig 3s in stereo, but I want to connect them with a wire to get a more stable connection. Can you please explain how it is done?

Hypothetical question- would the Minirig 3 + subwoofer be a viable option as a stereo inside a semi truck? I would put them on the dashboard and have the sound reflected off the windshield.
The factory truck stereo is garbage and my company does not tolerate modifications to their equipment(even something that could be replaced).
Has anyone used these in a vehicle?
I've seen a setup in a train. And that person was happy. Then again, that's a slightly different situation than yours ;)
Its almost excessive for that. Especially with the sub. So its perfect besides that they can slide around in emergency situations.
@@Saml3227 It's not even close to excessive for the situation unless you are the type of person who is happy listening to music through television speakers. I have a pair of minirigs velcroed to my headrest and 2 separate 8 inch ported subs in my truck and other than frequent connectivity issues, I'm happy with my setup. The Minirigs have an app that can control equalizer and subwoofer levels so it's easy to turn up and down the bass to match the music getting played. I might make my own UA-cam video about it, but I doubt more than 6 people would see it, and most of those would do so by accident. :-)
@@snarkytrucker6995 if its a video about mini rigs you would get more than 6 views dude
@@Saml3227 But what if I'm shy and don't want more than 6 views? ;-)
Hello Z , thanks for the video
Would you point out how we can use the same audio source , wirelessly , to 2 minirigs and make it a stereo setup .
Thanks .
Are these still the best pick? Looking for a set in my caravan :)
Incredible review! I was wondering, how essential is the subwoofer? Thanks dude
Nice review again :)
Can these be paired with SVS subwoofers like PC-2000 Pro ?
I am considering Minirig 3 as active omnidirectional speakers for medium room. No need the battery though.
I've been using a minirig 3 daily for a fews month now, and it's really a pain in the a*s after while.
The software is really buggy, it's annoying :
Having to turn it off and back on 10 times to get it to play somedays... I had to restore to factory parameters several times.
The auto-volume adjustment software sometimes make the speaker goes suddenly too quiet or too loud plus it feels like it's raping the song dynamics sometimes, even on LOW mode, appart from that sound-wise it's really cool and powerful.
You may be fine if you use it once or twice a month on bluetooth only. But daily it's a pain in the butt to me.
I wanted to get a second one at some point but now I'm just thinking about buying another brand, sadly.
How do people that own two or more of them do? I struggle to get any sound out of it so often, I can't imagine having these issues with TWO minirigs or even more.
I haven't seen this kind of feedback anywhere so maybe it's just mine that is dysfunctioning. Maybe it's because I often switch from Bluetooth to AUX or maybe because I switch between my phone and computer. But those seem to me like regular use case.
What other brand would you buy?
You're not the only one, many people struggle with the UX. I have returned mine, I found them unusable.
This has been exactly my experience. Total waste to spend so much effort getting the sound right then failing on connectivity, what's the point. Can't believe any company can fail at Bluetooth in 2022. Waste of money for me 🚮
21:43 btw that is a no no in the manual

My dream is to tell Z about my childhood
Kinda funky to listen to this review with my Minirig 2. :D
is there a reason the i should buy the Iloud minis instead of these for goofing around with music production for fun?
Calling allll Jan Michael Vincet's!!!
These or Vanatoo T0's, just based on sound (if you just meed moderate portability and don't mind schlepping/plugging in the T0's)?
I have been thinking about these for a month now. I really like them but I keep thinking maybe I should wait for the mini 4 since these have been out for 2 years now. Do you think the 4's will be coming out soon or should I pull the trigger on these?
Where can I find an stereo Bluetooth transmitter? I already have a couple of Bluetooth Klipsch speakers that I like and I wish I can use them as stereo pair.
If you connect the minis with the MK3 and the sub all in stereo is freaking awesome
Dropped that shi so many times been to so many states jus works very well, has great battery life and sounds gr8
Z, why does the bass deepen when the minirigs are on the chair arms (compared to the table) ? Is it because they are lower than the table or because the "shelf" of the arms are smaller? Or something else? It's fascinating!
I don't blame them for taking their time to respond Zeos, you DO take your own sweet time reviewing stuff, and admitted to taking 6 months to reviewing their product.
your setup is insane
They used that kind of plug for charging because it is more robust than a USB connector and can't be broken as easily.
I know it's probably a pain, but I like your Bluetooth reviews with binaural better. Definitely getting these. I really have no choice but get the whole set... eventually...
Hi Z, Which headphone has better imaging MMX Gen II with dekoni choice pads or the DT 1990 w/ analytical pads?
Imaging 1990. MMX are soundstage
Any recommendation for a bathroom setup?
nice vid. I got a 3 and a mini and thought the 3 was powerful and amazing but lacking clarity at low volume and the mini had clarity at lower volumes but lacked the power/magic of the 3.. What do you think about their sound difference? Do you think they lack clarity at lower volumes?
what an awesome intro i was watching thinking shit he is going to compare them against that awesome stereo this should be interesting and then pow mind was blown

That's sadly not how it works.
They would go deaf

You've convinced me to buy 2 of these guys! The only thing I'm debating now is to buy 1 or 2 subwoofers to pair :/
Trust me, you thought you had the best deal buying the minirig, until you got the sub
Dude your crib is sick
Got these a while ago, there are pretty damn awesome.
i'd like to know what Zeos thinks of the new airpods. i wonder if they're better than my tin t2s iem
you WILL find out.
review of the sub alone for desktop use maybe?
I heard these and although very nice the price was a bit much. I settled for a pair of Denon envaya minis which sound as good and just as three dimensional as the mini rigs. Not a huge fan of Denon amplifiers but their bluetooth line is damn impressive.
Could I DJ a small party or a small bar with a pair of minirig 3s and a subwoofer?
i own the sub v3 and its amazing.
how reliable is connectivity and pairing? How easy is it to setup stereo with 2 subs and move it around? Are the Subs the same 100 hours of play time?
Great intro hahaha
How would a pair of these sound compared to the iLoud Micro Monitors? I just bought the iLouds for $250 from Zzounds, but they are kind of big to carry around with my laptop.
I had the iLouds. At low volumes, they sound like a toy to me. I know others disagree, but that is my sense.
Would you say that these get loud enough for outdoor use because my band director is looking for a portable sound system that is bluetoooth for in the band room and outside for marching band
I mean they work best reflecting off a surface. Open field you might want something directional
But how does it compare to your diy BT MB42x setup? Is the prize/ size worth?
The Zboombox? I mean. If I upgraded to RB42, a 36v power supply and a 50wpc amp.... It would be the winner.
Have you tried the Mini 2s and Mk 3s together with the sub?
I want to find a wife who talks about me like Zeo talks about Stereo
Why the need for the bluetooth thingy? Can't you transmit BT just from the computer?
Hey man please compare the souncore motion plus to these bad boys! Thanks.
Bravo on the intro hahaha
can you connect these to a regular subwoofer? instead of using the one from MiniRig? like, will the DSP correction and all that jazz work with a 3rd party sub?
,,,, I actually don't see why not, it throws full range out the port so you can use anything with a crossover I imagine.
@@ZReviews Thanks Z! Keep up the amazing work.
How do you hoard so much and yet stay in pristine control?

Z what brand of cable do you use for pc to dac if you connect through usb please? cheers from the U.K
Whatever isn't built like shit. I really don't buy into the expensive USB cable theory. Cable Matters or Amazon Basics are fine.
@@ZReviews cheers buddy .
Rear channel pointing up? When did that happen? Details?
I have V2 stereo and SUB setup. They are really good, the sound and the battery are quite amazing.
I do have some conectivity issues though. Sometimes it just wouldnt connect to my phone, changed the phone and same issue. I also had some issue with top grill loosening and making noise. I tried to screw it on myself but they have a wierd system and it all just broke, so I had to send them back to be fixed. The app design could be improved also ..
Regards the sound I would give them a good 9/10, but other things maybe 5 points. Hope they still make some improvements. Will probably upgrade to V3 at some point.
Check the app store to make sure the app is up to date. Also make sure you have the minirig software updater app installed and your minirig is up to date. Hope this helped
And those Pro4S are STILL sitting there waiting to be reviewed.
😔
I need these for Underground gym and outdoor street workout plus laptop is with SABRE dac, gg🙄
How would these be as a desktop solution? Specifically, would these be able to replace a pair of Vanatoo T0s?
If you can run them close to your body they will work wonders.
oh god the intro is just the bose marketing
I haven't been able to find this answer anywhere, but when you link up say 4 minirigs, can you set them up to have full surround?
Since this deals with 2 channel stereo I am not sure how it divides that up among the 4. It might even make them all mono.
Yo what was that song at 0:52 though? That sounded amazing
The hong kong company oneaudio.cc has similar speakers that use DECT wifi technology. They reach down to a reported 68 db. The two are excellent if paired with a phone, but the software is a bit of a nightmare. They also offer full range speakers for 5.1 if you're willing to fight with the crappy software.
How many hours a day do you test headphones, speakers, ect
Hey there Z, Gotta say - this is a fab video and a fab review!! I have become a committed fan of stereo paired Bluetooth speakers. The work you can do and the fun you can have placing them is astounding. I love it. I have not yet tried the MiniRigs but having seen your video I will be doing so as soon as I can get my hands on them. I have tried and love the Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus pair. I know some will say that putting the word 'BOSE' in your comments section must be some sort of 'satanic practice' or 'witchcraft 'but, they sound really good and they sound much better as a stereo pair, They have one driver and are 360 speakers as they have a reflector which does the 360 work. Having one driver makes them perfect for Stereo pairing. They respond just as you described next to a wall and you have the choice of how much base you want by placing the nearer or further from the wall. The Bose Revolve Plus speakers really hum some tunes. The sound is just sublime and enveloping. The vocals appear right in front of you and the spacial dexterity is something to behold when they are fed from the right quality source. I have more than once set them up for testing - in a new room I am trying for work for example - and intended to just play a track or two but find myself still there an hour later - just listening to how good they sound and to how good the music is. They make it so easy to get lost in favourite tunes or even tunes I am discovering - and getting lost in the music is the point surely. They are great for that and I defy anyone to say that they are not experiencing high fidelity😊. I have also tried the Bang and Olufsen (Beoplay) P6 pairing. I suspect that you have some fans who would be up in arms hearing me mentioning these speakers in particular but, they sound fine on their own. Fine - not spectacular. But as a stereo pair, they sound phenomenal. On their own, they have 3 drivers. 2 on the front (a tweeter the main driver), firing out the right channel and the left channel is fired out of another driver at the rear (I even think there might be some phase timing thing they do with the channels to give some subtle reverb or something). So on their own, they sound really good but a little weird. (a little like the H6 headphones - really good but just a little weird). When they play in a stereo pair, all the drivers in each speaker are dedicated to one channel and they shine like in no other situation. You have the three drivers and the bass reflectors dedicated to their own channels so the sound is clear and crisp and subtle. They have an even lower bass response than the Bose but the Bose provide a more enveloping and atmospheric sound. They are noth fabulous but slightly different. I now never travel with one speaker - and I travel for my work a great deal as you do. I set up in the hotel with the stereo pairing as if that was the only way to be - which is true for me. I was so excited to see what you thought of the mini rigs and I am going to try them myself. Please Please try the Bose and the Beoplay P6 stereo pair. Don't be put off by the age of the speakers or by reviews of them as single speakers. These do not take into account what they can do as a stereo pair. The Bose Revolve Plus are mono speakers on their own - The P6 is stereo but a weird front to back stereo ... did I mention that they are weird? Great sounding - don't get me wrong ... even on their own ... But weird none the less. BUT in Stereo the world opens up and they produce sounds which could not have been previously contemplated. I cannot wait to get your thoughts. Thanks for a great vid. Hunting down MiniRigs even now.
By the way, both the Bose Soundlink Revolve and Beoplay P6 are very, very overpriced compared to other speakers when new, so I got mine pre-owned (at half or less than that of the listed price) and they have been fantastic.
How do these compare to the edifier speakers
I have one minirig 3. The problem is distortion at bass and midrange. Not all frequencies, but some. It's extremely annoying for the price. I didn't get any distortion with this video, however.

Know anything about LG neckbands? LG flextone, would be a great review series.
Nice and interesting review as always Z, but the only problem I have is that for $360/pair I could get a pair of Vanatoo T Zeros.
But of course, at least for me, I'm considering the Vanatoo's because of their compact size, and these are even smaller, something which I see as an advantage.
