Hello and thank you for the question. I did not remove the stems because I was giving the plant balance of the height of the canopy. I decided to leave some of the stems for aesthetics of the plant. But, you can make your own decision to cut the pods down to the next branch growth and try leaving the canopy in a symmetric shape. The plant doesn’t need them to stay healthy and eventually they will grow back on the same stem.
