i also noticed that. was certain he had the opposite idea when they did the twin turbo ls swap. as long as the runners are big enough the piping almost doesn't matter.
Im not saying that tuned length custom manifolds don't have their place they do and if you are shooting for big power every bit helps, but if you are doing your own install or a basic set up start with a basic log set up, manufactures use them because they get the job done and they are cheaper to mass produce.

I fully expect to see the Skid Factory become it's own channel. They're killing it with the likes/views,enough to where they probably would make much more revenue over just getting paid by MCM. I mean don't get me wrong MCM is great but I doubt they like this channel getting so much love over....well you know refurbishing wheels....

My uncle cut the floor to put a v8 in the same model, did all the work himself and it was a beast with fats on the back and all blacked out. He would appreciate what your going through and this was in the late 80s.
I had the same troubles fitting the engine into The Slug... I had it sitting at on a little trolley with wheels and rolled the whole lot under the car and lowered the body over the top and kept cutting until it fit. Then crawled under and made the mounts. The way mine is setup the motor mounts to the chassis and the front end is completely separate and detached. Cool job!!
Turbo Yoda is the man I love to watch him work his Magic on these Builds I learn alot from all these videos and On the MIghty Car Mods main Channel too.
This would be a nice sleeper on the track as its weight balance will be awesome! Maybe add some suspension upgrades and this will be one heck of a ride!

True, love to build, how ever i hate how much they put on bin. I mean they just trowed after market, for looks of it working air conditioning system into bin. One of those would cost 500-1000€ even in that condition, in here and old engine, least they said they might sell it, but you can make it run with wood gas and run your emergency generator decades to come, as there is no fancy sensors to break, like in new shitty engines, that would maybe run 5-minutes until dying. Same shit is happening in MCM main channel, where valuable parts are just trown away.. guess these guys have too much money.

Point here is, adding power steering wont make the ratio quicker. That thing probably has at least 4 turns clock to clock, so it's going to be bitch to handle when it breaks loose. You'd need a rack with a quicker ratio to fix that, with or without power steering, it's going to be a lot better to drive during hectic moments. Slow steering ratio might add a little to the fun on the drag strip, if the driver is enough of a wheel man thought.
Fair call you could also fit a steering quickner, just make sure it's not one that reverses direction too. I know someone who came unstuck with that in their race car 😂

Hard to argue with the Barra 270T - might be a bit primitive here and there around the edges but it's so easy to get power, it all definitely works.

Trying to sell used parts is hard.. unless it's a specialty part from a high-end car your not likely to sell it...
Swapping that 4.0L Barra into my Ford E-Series (E150) cargo van would have been so much easier...

No power Steering..... I wonder what the steering ratio is? Could be some frantic wheel wrangling when the tyres break loose.
Should get an electric one from an Holden Astra, solve the problem.
Rob Faith its a manual steering rack. an electric pump will not change the rack type.
You could put an electric column in out of a barina, we have done a Renault campervan here in New Zealand worked out mint.
