I’m having a hard time getting the inverted pieces at the end to snap into place. Any advice?

Some stability problem i suppose ? Did you place the walls, in water, that you can see at 0:56 ? They provide stability to the inverted pieces

Should say it’s modded otherwise halfway through build you realise you can’t actually build it

Video description says it's modded. But still, mods are only for cosmetics, you can build it unmodded
