- How My beautiful Filipino wife works so hard to save money. I've never known a woman in my life that works so hard every day and always has a smile on her face and laugher on her breath. I don't have the words to explain just how amazing my Filipino wife Rosemarie truly is. I'm always in awe of what and how she does everything in life with a smile on her face. This video won't appeal to everyone this I know but if you sit back and watch you'll see how simple things in life can bring so much pleasure and satisfaction into a person's life. I think everyone seeks to be happy in life and Rosemarie and I hope you truly find that happiness as we have. Have a blessed day everyone smile, laugh and help out your fellow man when you can!!
I love and respect this woman.........unlike the princesses living within the foreigners, this woman stands out. She loves and is so passionate about her life and what that entails. Works hard and I am sure she is financially secure. What you have brought to her life which is love, friendship, support and money that is combined with hers and proves to work well. She seems to enjoy working with you by her side and she smiles so easily. Love and protect this woman................she is a gem.

My wife and I raise pigs and chickens. We have about 100 American breed chickens, and 12 pigs at this time. I handle the chickens and she takes care of the pigs. She absolutely loves raising pigs. I sent her a link to your video so she can consider this plant too. Thank you Rose..

Rose what a smart way of reducing feeds expense. I have small piggery in Tablas in prep of our retirement in the Philippines. My caretaker is given a chance to be more resourceful for local natural organic feeds he can grow but it seemed you cannot really teach common sense and resourcefulness . He was also given a chance to have a part in the profit so he can be more motivated to do well. He is a paid help but so dependent in commercial feeds which I also provide. With our first sale he has no share because I have to get all my capital back . I realized now that I can do it myelf when I get there because I am more of a hands on person than just ordering people around. You are my kind of person to get acquainted more,same personality hardworking, resourceful,kind ,bubbly, down to earth and takes so much pride in what you do. Also being and loving wife nd great member of community I always believe you have to give your best in whatever you do as it shows the genuine you. You have my admiration Rose. You are one in a million. Wow. Thanks Randy for filming this.
Thank you very much G GAB for this very great admirations from you, Im sorry to hear about what happened to the piggery you have just started, but do not worry when you retired soon,,you will do better, Yes you can teach people to do what we can do,we can only inspire them,I can tell you that much I can see a LOT here in my community,not so many people will do the hard work but most people are quick to climb over here to ask for help everytime thye have emergencies. As you the main reason why so many of our kababayan families is still in poverty is because thats their choice. AS much as I wanted to help them, I realized I just tolerate them to lazy and dependent at all times. Funny thing is when you dont help them anymore,,You become bad or selfish..
So anyway yes Im glad to be of your assistance one day as you retire,just keep in touch.
Growing pigs here especialy backyard like ours,we will never make money if we just rely 100percent on commercial feeds. We have to have an alternative.

I am a rural island boy living in New York ; love your farm life. I admire your conscientiousness, your enthusiasm and your superb energy. Randy appears to be a ride or die husband; love it, but as easy going , supportive and willing as he is, he will never be able to traverse those grounds as easily as you can. Please remained cognizant of his age and the fact that he is not equipped with those rural skills. I watch how easily you navigate that farm. As a country boy myself, I am aware that your skills are virtually innate. Just being born and raised in that environment prepare people like you and myself with the required survival skills. A broken bone could be seriously problematic for Randy, and for you, I might add.
If he were to suffer any injury, with all your many chores, you would probably have to find time to nurse him back to health.
Please be careful.

sorry but why refer to his age , I am older and I can assure you I could traverse those grounds very easily and much quicker than Rose did. What rural skills are you referring to ? As far as broken bones etc Rose could also end up being incapacitated , then judging by your naive comments I assume they will be doomed, because Randy being older will be useless.
I'm originally from Vermont and farm life is prevalent there even these days...I remember summer days haying then finishing the day eating sandwiches and drinking lemonade while chit chatting.....you guys got a great life there together! Then I would have to set up a mechanism to supervise staff. Said mechanism would alert me if some funny stuff were going on within the business.

Great example for the unthinking foreigners who move to the Philippines and expect to get rich from pig farming when feeding expensive pellet feed. TRY and think foreigners,,,, IF a Filipino cannot make much money with pigs on pellet feed how can you expect to create this MIRACLE. I have done similar with Tilapia ,, reduced feed costs and only use 50% pelet food and all the rest is from local available plants etc
What alternative feeds do you use?
@@ppac300 There are numerous options and the cheaper options will depend on the area you intend to live.
Thats True I agree with you completely, My one way of saving money is that I do most of the pig farm work,so I dont pay people for labor. Sometimes I hire brother to help me when I needed it.
The most common pog alternative is This Gabi or Taro in english,and Trichantera Plant or common name as madre de agua. I also used AZOLA BEFORE,bUT ITS hard to grow them for it needs a space and water constantly, I only made a small pond before and grow azola. Congratulations Dave on your Tilapia.I love Tilapia

I have enjoyed watching your recent videos through our cold Oklahoma winter. Who does the video editing and posting and how many hours does it take to film, edit, and post a single video? That, alone, is a job in itself. Keep up the fun content. Rosemarie, watching you build your business is amazing. It is a never ending job plus taking care of all your plants. Keep up the great content.
I use to do the editing and making the thumbnails but Rosemarie being Rosemarie took over doing it. Surprisingly many of the videos have little to no editing. The last video took her like an hour to edit because we needed to shorten it and it was shot in like 8 segments. I do most of the descriptions and tags on the uploads. What takes a lot of time is responding to the comments. Thanks so much for watching our videos we appreciate your support and I'm glad they give you a little warmth on the cold nights there. Those mud boots don't give you the ankle and foot support you need. Too much foot movement in the boot. My wife and I are located in Alburea, Leyte, 96 km, about a 2 hour drive south from you. Maybe we can get together sometime. Rose, not only do you have a strong work ethic, but you are quite intelligent and capable of most things. A Jane of all trades, if you will. Pretty much my dream retirement. I’m not a big fan of pig’s because we always have them when I grow up. But I really enjoy they everyday work involved in farming and feeding animals. Such a neat place.

Yes, we used that karlang as a pig's food. If you are living in the province, there's a lot of plants to be planted as pig's food.

Not realy, we never had a snake bite problems here, seems that snakes understood and go away everytime they see humans,so we are blessed by that.

You found a good one! I lean toward cutting expenses and homesteading rather than chasing money. Hard to find a partner with that commonality here in the US.
That's what I did the last ten years before I retired. I only worked 6 months of the year and spent winters relaxing. And yes it was impossible to find a woman in the States Filipino women are completely different.

They raise a lot of pigs in the American south.
The smaller farms usually add sugar to make the feed slightly alcoholic a few months before they sell them to make them fatter and get more money for them.
I add salt so they will ddrink more water.. Maybe I will try sugar too, however the sugar is much expensive.

Thanks yes Rosemarie is smart and plans ahead she planted that crop 2 years ago. We live on little known island to foreigners called Biliran. It's extremely peaceful here. The largest city here is Naval. Almeria is a cute little town I like it it's very quaint. We live in the mountains outside of there.

Great video - lots of great info you both shared. Randy you gotta get some proper footwear - was a scary moment at one point - looked like you were going to fall down the the hill. When wet it sure is slick - doesn't bother locals though. The feed sure has sky rocketed - I learned a lot by just watching. As others have wrote below with all the positives also mirrors my own thoughts. Rose you most defiantly are a very knowledgeable lady who knows it's just gotta get done so no sense complaining. So many people loss their pigs and chickens - so hard on many causing them financial grieve. It's hard enough just raising them never alone the other added costs - all of this and getting them to a stage for potential profits relying on this and then loosing not just one but can be the entire lot which is so sad but one must just keep going on as you have. Keep up with the positive attitude - always staying strong and smiling. You have lots of amazing plants. Hope you both have a great day!

It gives me hope also that one day many people can realize the importance of kindness, hard work, perseverance , love and respect .

It broke my heart our heart, 3 days ago we just lost a very caring mama pig she is about to due on the next day, she just pass away very quick, pregnancy matters. I did grieve for the loss but then also ask God to give us power and grace to cope in order to move forward,
