I am trying rather hard to avoid this surgery. Thank you for confirming that I don't want it. Lol! But seriously, thank you for the information. I hope your patient has recovered well.
I am in the same boat Susan. As a RN, I know I will avoid any cutting to great cost and endure great pain before considering. 8 months after a meniscus tear in two places and Menisectomy with worsening pain, there is almost no recourse. Several HA injections (NP missed the mark) and Steroid/Lido injections (2 out of 3 missed). Thanks Dr. Janssen. I may be calling you soon sir.
@@cazrnbsn, yikes, that sounds awful! I actually just had hyaluronic acid injections to sort of help tide me over until I can have the allograft. I'm sorry you're suffering so much. We should be further along in medical advances!
OMG its kinda scary just to watch this, and i'll have to go through this on this 11 jan. But i dont really care anymore, i just want to run and jump again. It sucks that the loose body is stuck somewhere behind my patella. i cant even do SLR and keep falling when walking.
Hi, I am from the Philippines. I have an osteochondritis in my left knee. The loose bone was already taken last nov. 2010. But there was no graft used to replace the loose body. If I am going to be operated, will there still be a chance for complete healing? I am 29 years old. I wonder what would be the cost for the operation? Thank you doc
I had this sugery done 3 months ago. Suprising the pain wasnt that bad. I wasn't able to apply pressure for 6 weeks. I was told I need to take it easy on it for nine months no running jumping or any other hard impact on it
