Nice one mate! Bit weird that the tea/coffee/seasoning pack was left out, hopefully just a one-off. I could almost smell that roast chicken too. Cheers.
+Kiwi Dude It was good too. In fact, I admit I went against my usual common sense and scarfed most of this down after the review. Bad for calorie intake but good for naps! Thanks again for sending it. Cheers!
I wish Mountain House made a ration pack like this... It would be great for ice fishing. My Wal-Mart sells the pouches but at $4-6 a piece it adds up when you need 2 or 3 for the day plus drinks and such.
+jerry boynton I know right? How simple it would be to do something like this. I'm sure more than one suggestion of this type of pack has been sent to them for their consideration. But who knows?
Maybe one day they will.. Seems like they rather sell you the packs and you decide what you want take with you.. Savings is probably not in their minds!
Miss him and his daughter. They both are cool. Look very similar to mountain house entrees. Very nice kiwi dude to send ya those. Glad I just had lunch. Makes me a bit hungry. Does the muesli taste like the blueberry mountain house granola if you tried it??? Glad I found this one.shame some stuff was missing.
Haha......I was about to ask if Alligator had snatched the chocolate disks off the table when you weren't looking. Thanks for another interesting review. It did look YUMMY!!!! How would you compare dehydrated emergency meals to non dehydrated? I know the dehydrated meals have an advantage in extreme cold environment. Do they have a longer shelf life? Hoping you and family have a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Bill
+Bill23799 Dehydrated/ Freeze Dried will always last longer. Of course temperature storage always plays a role too. And as long as it's snowing you have a source for water, you just have to hope you have enough fuel to melt it. Cheers Bill
That was sent to him by another Mre reviewer named "Kiwi Dude" . If you notice the very 1st comment it's actually him mentioning how he doesn't know how he forgot to put the drinks in there. ✌🤦♀️
you ask me some of these bags need to be redesigned or at least resized, be the way gundog, a while back you mentioned a field pantry when you were in the army, how did you carry that? a pouch or a box of some kind?
+gundog4314 I remember you said you were stationed in Germany in the '80s i think. Would be interesting to hear more anecdotes about your time there. Particularly if you were there '89-91
thanks for the info, i'm tryin' to gigure something out for my pack next spring and seen a couple in catalogs but wanted some experianced input. I just saw the last gschulz vid, I hope your not that crazy,he got a can of bait not a snack,i'm tellin'ya that boy need help!
+Ambrose Gutierrez Here's a great place that is very reliable and has a great track record not to mention customer service. They do sell out of them however, they get more quite often so check back every week or so. Just type in "Rations" in the search box. Canadian stuff is really rare even in Canada. But you could make a listing on mreinfo.com and propose purchasing or trading for one. www.surplusandoutdoors.com/shop/search
What a presentation. Perfect amount for your tray.
I love the “international” flavor
of your review series ... unique
approach. Well done Sir!
Hey again gundog
Wishing you and Mrs gundog and alligator and friend a safe and joy filled Christmas.
Thanks for all the fun videos

+gundog4314 776 grams not 775 grams. :P I guess you were upside down and reading it quickly.
Nice review as usual my good sir. That snacks and drinks pack ain't no joke. It's basically an entire meal in itself
We love these meals, always in the car for road trips, hi from Invercargill, NZ, home of Back Country Cuisine.
I just got a few more from a mate in Tasmania can't wait to get into them! Cheers Jason!

Here in Australia these back country packets got for about $13 per pack and online for about $10 or $11 so I wish we had the same pricing as you guys
Brilliant! Hope you are well Gundog!
great video! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
That is a well stuffed pack of trail mix. Great video sir, take care.
Great review, as always! The beef looked like beef jerky. And the roast chicken looked not half bad. Can't wait for the next video!
I have that same measuring cup. Had to replace the old since since it was cracked.

Well done amigo! Thanks to Kiwi Dude and Crystal for sending it out!
Every thing sounded like it was tasty. I would enjoy one. Nice review.
well I have done it! I watched all of your videos from first to most current. Now, just like with Kiwi Dude, I need to wait for some new ones! :-)
Everything looks delicious. The lunch/dinner looks a little stingy though! Lol could use a bit more
all of that looked really good! I wish I could try an MRE. I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
They sell them on eBay and online stores... Definitely try them!
Thanks!
+Jessica Sewell this is not an MRE. this is just freeze dried hiking and campers food that you can buy from many companies in your own country
Elizabeth Shaw I know it's not an MRE. I have pretty decent hearing and eyesight ya know.
+Jessica Sewell savage
Thanks for the review. Wouldn't buy it knowing you don't get what's on the label but hey, some would probably
That look like gold wen u have nothing to eat
Great review dog !! Happy Thanksgiving from Ky. Peace, Magnum, John.
+MultiMagnum62 Thanks John hope you had a nice day to
And from me home town. nice

Just kept thinking,
What a nice table...

great video as always man!
1 serves are not enough for me and i love the roast chicken dish, so i always buy up a heap of the 2 serve amounts!!!! oh maaaan im hungry!!!
All looked good thank you for the video.
I'd have dumped half that trail mix into the musli/yogurt for some extra texture myself.
Eating jelly beans with a spoon... Alex approved! XD Awesome vid Gundog, keep em coming! Hope you enjoy mine as well!

You should get what you pay for...There's no excuse for missing items in my opinion.

+keith moore Oddly enough in a G.I. issued cushion sole, green sock. Worked as a club too when I needed to motivate a subordinate. LOL!

You are never going to please everyone making tea so who cares :D
I have a few cases of these
is it just me or are those servings pretty small considering they are for hiking, trekking and camping.
+Kenneth Donnelly On camera yes, there was still a ton left in each of the bags. In fact it took me two days to eat the stuff. Cheers Kenneth
+gundog4314 ...really.....cool.
We got ripped off on the coffee lol
Wow the portion on that roast chicken is tiny?
That's because the potato was part of the meal. If you look at it together it is not too bad.
I was reading some comments at another channels mre review that said the gum in mre were laxatives. is that true?
+Barnabus Blackoak Hardly, it's all essentially xylitol gum for cleaning your teeth.
My kind of ration 😂
Hey dose any one know where I can british ratios an Canadian do you any one or any site that sells these

Ok thank you so much
yummie
Start sending stuff to Ashen, he loves bad food and complaining about bad food.
+GreatBigRanz I tried once, he never picked it up and was sent back to me. It was a nasty old MRE too. Oh well.
honestly having tried a few different back country foods now it's pretty horrid and massively overpriced.
It's all massively overpriced no matter what you get
