Brilliant .Love that there are stories of different nationalities , situations and escapes . I wonder how many of those books ended up in the hands of POWs ,and inspired or aided them in there escape .Again how many were made into movies . Some of those stories tells of harsh conditions .( nothing easy and fun ) The WW2s mayhaps being the most brutal. Good start of new year videos . Saw more movies than read books . One movie i saw years ago was " Escape from Sabibor " Thanks and bye .
Thanks Sylvan, this one took loads of research and time to pull the books together. As you say, so many interesting stories from around the world. A few made into filmd and TV series for sure. 👍
I'm not entirely sure if he wrote a book, but you should check out the story of Witold Pilecki. He was a Polish soldier in WW2 that got himself captured on purpose to infiltrate Auschwitz. He did it successfully, and even ended up escaping.
I seem to remember all the original book is in there plus expanded content but especially context. Much had been revealed by the time the later edition was published, just like the extended Colditz the complete story.
Amazing and interesting theme and collection.
Thanks Sergio, I do love a good escape story👍
Great video thanks very much very enjoyable
Thanks Glyn, much appreciated my friend 👍
Never heard of that genre before! SO informative, Jules.
Thanks Christina, I may have made it up of course, but I can't believe I'm the only one who collects these🙂
Just picked up a copy of The Horned Pigeon (which I'd never heard of) so this video is well timed!
Excellent stuff 👍

I have not heard of this but it sounds like an incredible story, I'll keep my eyes peeled. It must have been put into book form at some point.👍
Thank you
Thanks 🙂
Is the updated edition of Colditz German Story much different from the original?
