I love and respect Zidane. He is my most favourite player. I have seen his "headbutt" on youtube many times. I think, he is a player like Maradona.
If Zidane, could have won the World Cup 2006, he would have been definitely ranked with Maradona and Pele, because, we have seen him play valiantly and intelligently in the World Cup 1998 and battled with his team to bag the World Cup of 2006 also, had not the Materazzi incident taken place.
I wish, Zidane could be blessed with the post of French National Team's Coach, so that, his and millions of his fans' all over the world, dream of winning the World Cup for France near future could be fulfilled. While i was excited that my favorite team of 06 WC lifted the cup they deserved fighting every bit for it,scoring mindblowing and scorching goals,at the same time there was a bit of sadness in a corner of the heart that a player so fine as Zidane had to exit in such ironic way.A cup of mixed emotions i guess but so far the best WC ive seen,even though i Luv Spains squad and luv their 2010 win too and hope they go on to win EURO2012 & WC2014.
