Ken Honda, affectionately known as the "Zen Millionaire" in Japan, is the country's leading financial educator. His prolific career has given us 58 books, including the New York Times bestseller, "Happy Money," with more than 8 million copies sold worldwide.
Early in his life, a tragic event involving a family friend shaped Ken's perspective on the profound impact money has on our lives. This curiosity led him to create multiple successful companies, achieving financial independence at the age of 29. His intrigue about the behavior of money led him to study more than 12,000 self-made millionaires in Japan. He identified one consistent trait: sustainable wealth is not based solely on Money IQ (strategic financial knowledge), but rather on Money EQ (emotional intelligence regarding money).
