im going to be uploading 12 fun lil holiday videos this month, on random days (not consecutive), all leading up to a ✨grand finale✨ which you'll find out during the 12 days!!
day one consists of updating y'all on what's going on this month, a holiday target run and haul, a christmas apartment tour, finding out my spotify wrapped, and a heart to heart ☃️

you're so right - this time of year can be stressful and even lonely because you assume everyone else is having the most magical time. we put so much pressure on the holidays that they're destined to fall short of our expectations because christmas movies and commercials and social media can make it seem like it's perfect. we should all be gentle with ourselves and like you said, it's okay if your holiday season isn't perfect. I'm looking forward to the rest of your videos :)
You talking at the end about how everyone talks about how great the holidays are and how it hurts really hit home tbh. I lost my dad when I was 12 (four years ago) and now the holidays feel so hard cause you constantly see all the happy families. It was really nice to hear someone else talk about it.

Thanks for sharing the reminder that everyone’s holidays are not perfect and sometimes this can be a hard, sad time of the year. It makes me think of Twitch’s recent passing and how perfect his life seemed but he was clearly having some hard times in his real life. Happy Holidays! I already saw the wilderness lodge video and so excited to watch this series :)

Aww Emily. Don’t worry about your viewers. Have the best holiday season doing what makes YOU happy and bring us along if you want. If you’re not feeling it though, don’t worry about it! Also, there is no such thing as a perfect anything. No matter how much they advertise it, no one can or does celebrate the same. We all make the holidays work however we can, even if it means not celebrating. Just remember to always do what works for you!
Everything you discussed in the end is super important!! I 100%, sometimes during the holidays families can get hurt as well, and who am spending this day with and so on so forth. That's why I like the lead up to it, more than the actual holiday itself :) Also living away from family can make this time of the year feel a little lonely as well. Thank you for always sharing

We all love you Emily, thank you for remember me that sometimes life feels kinda hard in this season, but it's okay ❤ my dad passed away 6 months ago and i'm trying to do all my best to enjoy this season but there are somedays that are difficult than others, you are so special and i love how transparent you are, always enjoying your videos 🎄
Imma just add another comment. Oh Em! I felt the same way during my teen years where there honestly is so much commercialized version of what xmas should look like shoved down your throat (looking at you nov 1sters) and regardless with me living with the fam, i felt more lonely and dissatisfied with my life.. even now, I haven’t been working for like 4 months & only going back to work two weeks before xmas. It’s ok to not have the ultimate xmas because then you’re just setting your self up for disappointment. Just do you whatever that may be, like buying yourself a coffee or 1 thing that might brighten your day. My two things that I choose to do to be productive is journal & sew. I also know winter can make alot of people depressed so don’t feel like you’re the only one experiencing that even if it feels like it. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend, til the next one! We support you. Oh & the big finale?! Is it a night stay in the magic castle?
Believe me, most people don’t have a perfect family or a perfect Christmas 🎄 they just want others believe they have but at the end of the day all that matters is to make the best out of everything and to stay true to yourself ❤

Love the message at the end. People have to remember that what you see on social media is not always genuine, often far from it.

Emily I’m glad you said that at the end. I look as social media as a highlight reel of peoples life, they only show you the happy and “perfect” times but the reality is that you have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes. I try to keep that in mind when I see all the happy “perfect” UA-cam videos, posts, or TikTok’s. I love your channel so much, you don’t have to be perfect just be you we are gonna love your content no matter what, at least I will.❤️❤️

I can’t believe I missed your day one as i was sewing scrunchies all day yesterday but honestly this is amazing, I remember you trying to do 12 days of xmas two times & just got burnt out so no pressure to keep putting out content. Just feel the magic xmas spirit for yourself. As for the holiday cups for iced coffee, not many people grab an iced coffee over a hot one here in Canada because it gets so cold. It’s around -4 c. So I’m the exception one. Even my ex coworker couldnt believe i got an iced drink on the coldest day of the year. I just find iced drinks taste better then their hot alternative version. I’m even drinking an iced coffee rn! Man i wish we had a target..definitely wouldn’t be able to get an ornament for a dollar here. As for your decor, it definitely screams white peppermint & pink haha 😂 my aesthetics are the grinch & gingerbread for xmas. I feel like your place is really you & its adorable. As for your bedsheets, your future hubby won’t care if you have pink sheets because usually mire then not, they let their wives decorate the house how they want it so don’t worry 😉

aw emily i relate to this so hard! sometimes i eel like i love the holidays too much bc i put all this pressure on myself to do all the holdiay things and make the season perfect and then when its not, i take it really hard, especially with how perfect everyone makes it look on social media. my birthday is also on christmas eve so i also get that birthday sadness and disappointment at the same time lolll. im excited for your vids and hope you have great holiday season even if its not perfect

I’m in the same boat with feeling nervous about doing 31 days of Christmas makeup looks. I feel like I’ll disappoint everyone around me if i don’t pull thru with getting to that goal. We both got this girl. ❤️❤️❤️

All that matters is you make the best of what you have during the holiday seasons and above all just go with the flow the more pressure you put on yourself the more stressed holiday you will have. Starbucks used to have holiday iced cups but it was probably 7 years ago and then just stopped, I remember the fall season would get an occasional cup design too and then nothing 😢 wish they’d bring it back

So the island of adventure (harry potter) is not close? Does it belong to another park?
