The manga version of this fight was WAY more close than Pierrot animated it. I understand why Kubo is closely working with TYBW now. In the anime it makes Toshiro look like he’s hopelessly outclassed the entire time. The manga makes the fight a clean 50/50, with it slightly leaning in his favor. He pretty much uses Hyoten Hyakkoso relatively quickly and 1 taps her, suffering very little actual damage the entire fight. When she gets saved by Wonderweiss, he doesnt even bother using his bankai again because its not worth his effort when Aizen’s still alive. This is a PRIME example of how adding filler completely changes a scene. This is also why so many people were all for the Ichirukia ship, these extra scenes didn’t exist in the manga.
Umm Kubo has been closely working with the anime since before tybw. He was working on the anime pretty much as soon as it started. The Pierrot producers did add in dialogue that created the Ichigo/Rukia ship and Kubo hated it and started working on the anime soon after. He was on board with the anime since the soul society arc (episode 15 to present) The only thing he never had any control over was the movies but majority of changes from manga to anime were changes made by Kubo himself because he thought it made the story flow better. He states it in multiple interviews

In terms of potential for collateral damage, Hitsugaya's powers are second only to Yamamoto's in my opinion. Soi Fon can blow up a few city blocks but then be left too drained to use her Bankai for at least a day. Hitsugaya I feel even at this point in the story, could probably destroy an entire city if he went crazy or lost control. Even if we look at other characters with abnormally dangerous powers, you at least have to be close enough to them to actually see them, with Hitsugaya, just being in the same city means there is a potential danger. On another note, the citizens of the Bleach universe should be grateful he is on the higher end of the morality spectrum, I would not want that kind of power to fall into the hands of a psychopath.

toshiro was casually just basically beating her while being deathly worried about momo and analysing why
she came there. the problem with toshiro is he is too reserved all the time shown when zombie toshiro didnt give a fuck and went wild.
I love how the second half of the battle basically boils down to an ever escalating game of Elemental Ping Pong.

When Toshiro got Zombiefied, he is willing to kill and the way he fights is scary, because instead of suppressing his enemies, he goes straight to the kill and not let them fight back, though Mayuri outsmarted him
@jandanmaster428 that's why I think mayuri can solo almost every single character in bleach with prep time I would go as far as saying he can out smart every single captain with prep time which makes him scary he already has prep time on them just in case if they go Rouge like how aizen did
well i think adult toshiro beats him super easily since well his ice freezes anything and everything, zaraki just out brute forces anything possibly that can be thrown at him. byakuya could stand a chance, ichigo, shunsui is too smart and hax with a lot of everything in his arsenal so he could pull it off and well kisuke is kisuke so he beats mayuri at his own game but apart from that i dont think any gotei stands a chance. @@jahliquejames3866

I fully believe she's the arrancar version of Soi Fon. Super fast, and hits hard. And yes, water can get rid of ice, however, it's really clear to see she spreads more water throughout the battle , Tier is good, but kinda defeated herself by giving Toshiro more ammo.

Here he was given story armor. This is the only conclusion that suggests itself. Prior to this, he was on edge against the Grimjow faction (with a 5x debuff) and couldn't do anything to Yami Shikai anymore (he admitted that without Bankai, he would not be able to defeat him), while Byakuya fought calmly against Zommari without resurrection and was able to kill him with a sword sealed at the end when resurrecting. So yes, Toshiro is weaker than Byakuya, Ichigo and Grimjow. And all of the above is not the level of the same Ulquiorra, which is weaker than Harribel in the basic state (the number is issued in a sealed state, so after its release it disappears from them) after his resurrection it increases 10 times. From this we can conclude that he was simply given the plot armor in the battle with it.
Honestly I think the top 3 Espada were just ignored mostly. Awesome designs, but holy hell their performance messes with the rest of the arc so much

Both of their powers would be nullified by the existence of his fiery spiritual pressure. (Remember it's not actual flame, its spiritual pressure with flame like properties.). Cant have liquid water, let alone ice, in his presence.
