The Mallee's beauty inspired Ceobahn to become an Indigenous ranger | Heywire | ABC Australia

The moment Ceobahn stepped onto the earth at Calperum Station, she knew that’s where she needed to be.
After visiting the station outside of Renmark in South Australia during a school camp, Ceobahn knew her purpose was there, amongst the floodplains, mallee and birdsong. A true nature lover, Ceobahn is now a trainee ranger, learning how to use traditional knowledge to care for and restore the land she loves so much.
She once thought she would need to pursue university to become a scientist in order to care for the land, but now she gets to witness the change she’s making firsthand, in real time. Nature has always been there for her, and now she can repay the favour.
