Oh man, you were talking and you totally missed one of my favorite parts, when Dean and Sam are talking about the angels in the beginning and Sam transitions to Ezekiel and then back to Sam, Dean's like "I'm gonna get whiplash" and Sam's like "huh?" Lol 😂 The way Jared transitions from Sam to Ezekiel and vice versa is really great, it's always so smooth 👌

At least with this one they gave a reason why Castiel can't stay in the bunker. Unlike with Kevin.

Don't worry, Castiel was telling the truth when he said that Ezekiel was a good soldier.

Yeah no the writers made Dean WAY out of character here! There is no way in hell Dean would kick Cas out without telling him anything, Cas is Dean’s best friend they have been through so much and Dean would clearly trust him more than Zeke! The defense for this is Dean always puts Sam’s needs ahead of everything else but Dean stayed it purgatory way longer than needed to save Cas and not get back Sam. So yeah not a fan of this

Well, it's not Dean's fault here. he did what he always did - he put Sam above the world. He only stayed to help Cas because Cas was in immediate danger and Sam was not in any danger. in purgatory there was no choice between Sam and Cas, but here there was a choice, and Dean chose Sam. No wonder Dean told Sam “it was always just you and me.” look at it this way. For Cas fans, there was an opportunity to see Cas alone, without help. homeless Cas is more interesting than him simply existing in a bunker as a third wheel. Of course, the way Dean said it may seem rude, I agree, but Cas got his plot points in addition to being in the wings of the brothers.

@@user-uz8wu5gm1u Ok you do bring up some good points and Dean did give Cas money and fake ids, so he didn’t completely abandon him. But I still have issue with Dean not telling Cas anything. Him leaving and Dean not telling him about Zeke are different

@@patrickmcguire7896 The fact that he didn’t tell about Zeke is, yes, wrong, both brothers have this habit. I can only justify this by the fact that Dean was afraid to talk about Zeke, he didn’t know that he would anger the angel, and suddenly he would leave, leaving Sam. but I think this is not the worst option, the writers could have ruined everything even more

@@helenwood8482 I’m not talking about kicking him out of the bunker I mean him not telling Cas about the real reason for it, Zeke. I can see Dean wanting to do what Zeke says to keep Sam alive but Dean trust Cas and can just tell him real reason for it, as in all about Zeke when the two are alone. Dean has no reason to think Cas wouldn’t understand and would keep his distance from Sam as a request from Dean. Him being silent about this is just a plot hole

I'm not a huge fan of everything that happens in this episode, but I really agree that it's interesting seeing Cas, as newly human, interact with all these humans other than Sam and Dean. It's just a neat opportunity to tell stories, an interesting lense to see things through. This episode honestly feels like it could be a show on it's own.
Cas having to chose between washing his clothes, or stealing clothes and having something to drink, was a really heartbreaking scene, and I think it was some of Misha's best acting.

I agree with you when it came to being "judgey" about April. It was practically a relief when she DID turn out to have ulterior motives because before then, I was thinking "the way they write women in this show is really weird sometimes".
Remember when Reapers used to be invisible? I think that one Reaper bounty hunter would have saved himself a lot of trouble if he remembered that.

See, one of my issues with the show, is how sexual assaults are either joked about, or just completely disregarded. For example, Sam sleeping with Ruby while she possessed a dead Jane Doe always makes me sick. In this episode, sure, at this point, Jimmy’s body and Castiel’s “soul” or whatever you want to call it, are basically one in the same, but April was possessing an innocent girl, and used her body to have sex. It just gives me the creeps and it’s crazy how many times it happens as the show goes on. Becky always touching Sam and then using magic to make him marry her are other examples of it being joked about and/or forgotten about it, when, if the roles were reversed, people would riot.

tru. I always found that weird too. I love this show but it surely could have done WITHOUT the sex. it's about monster hunting ffs. no sex or intimacy was needed in this show at all tbh

The end of this episode kills me every time! 😩 Castiel’s little puppy dog face and sad eyes when Dean tells him he can’t stay just ends me.. 😢 I hate hate hate the writers for doing that to him.. I get that Misha declined a contract for a starring role, but damn, they could’ve come up with something better than that! Sometimes I think the writers absolutely loved fu**ing with the audience.. 😅

Wow. I love your nails! And you're the Woman In Red. You're positively GLOWING.
What makes Season 9 so interesting, refreshing and fun to watch is everything is all topsy turvy and upside down. All of the old rules have been thrown out the window and everyone has to learn how to adapt and live in the New World Order. The big fun here is watching Castiel learn how to be human.
Quite the little twist with April there.
