Jamie Dornan is so funny and charming. More importantly, Graham Norton is an excellent host. He actually lets his guests tell a complete story without interrupting, so we actually get to see the actor's real personality come through. Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman could take a page from Graham's book.
As American, I completely agree. Interviewing is a talent in itself and I've loved Graham Norton ever since I got cable when I was a teenager with BBC America.
i was thinking about that too, because I love jimmy fallon to bits, but he really has a heavy hand in interviews. I figure it's because they're allowed to show a lot more on tv in Britain than they are in the u.s. so maybe he's trying to make sure it never veers into "questionable" conversation. like, trying to avoid awkward silences and appeasing the censors maybe? As a toe-walker and a person who grew up performing onstage, this struggle is so real! I’ve never seen a professional performer talk about this before. Very cool! Plus, he is adorable and funny.
In school when we were around eight we had to do a series of tests on how we move. Anyone with unhealthy walking patterns or the like were then given some kind of physiotherapy (if that is the word?) lessons to sort i out. The heyday of the Swedish welfare state.
@@fribbled1155 Funny thing, what you call toewalking is pretty much the proper barefoot walk which is the healthy one. Heel walking came fomr modern shoes and barely 200 years old and not actually healthy, more like tolerable.
All the other interviews I've seen of him have been so boring and reserved- I think he's over the whole asking about the sex scenes in 50Shades of Grey. This is the 1st one I've seen where he is laughing and seems really genuine about what he is talking about and at ease
Plus he was a model, for him seeing and partaking in nudity was probably an everyday thing. Dakota also has pics online from swimming topless. In all the interviews they always make the sex and nude scenes a really big deal. Like there is something completely crazy or unbelievable about such behavior. It's probably kind of insulting considering they both are ok with things like that.
It's mainly because this interview was about a year before 50 Shades was released or started its promotion campaign, he's there to promote other things like The Fall, which is an incredibly good serie. The movie 50 shades hadn't caught up with him yet.

I think they need to be made in order for people to see there is more to this story than some kinky sex with a billionaire...plus I'm interested to see how Jamie plays Christian as he starts to let his guard down...its a complex character...
I guess, I'mnot bashing the actor I think he is great. But I really hate that people think the relationship in the book is BDSM. Something about the whole things really irked me the wrong way after she used her safe word and he kept going. I couldn't read after that it just brought back too many bad memories.
I love his reaction about finding out the "heel-to-toe" technique. It's like his "Eureka" moment. I like him out of character more because I didn't expect him to be humble and funny. I say he's humble because he gets to share the most embarrasing facts about himself and laughs about it. Surprising that he doesn't sound arrogant as well. It's far from his looks.
And now after 8 years he finally gets the recognition he deserves with his movie Belfast. I´ll never have enough of Jamie. And somehow he is still the same as he used to be. Funny, charismatic, humble and a great storyteller.
Tiptoe walking is a sensory integration issue. I'm surprised nobody picked up on that when he was a kid. I have to say, I don't find the "old" walk as weird as the new version. I feel Jamie’s pain. I didn’t realise until I was 18 and a ballet teacher pointed out that I walk on the inside of my right foot and that’s why I had trouble balancing. When I try to walk with my right foot flat on the ground like normal people, it feels so strange and uncomfortable! 😂😂
I think he rises onto his toes a bit earlier than normal, not much though. Most ppl stay flat footed a bit longer before toe off. It probably used to be more pronounced before he fixed it.
Watched this last week and went and saw FSOG with the hubby two nights ago. My husband said with a laugh on the way home "he did the walk you know". I said "when? I'm sure he did his best to hide it". He said "at the end when he walked out of the bedroom with Anna crying -- straight tip toes". Jamie probably had his guard down and didn't think about it too much about his walk in that scene because it was more about Ana so the 'original' walk came through. Now I want to go back and see if I can spot it!!!
Kay JayP I did notice it in 50 shades when he and Dakota was walking down for their meeting. Through out the movie I was noticing his walk seemed a little strange through out the movie. I missed the part when he was running after Dakota.
Michelle Samuels I noticed his awkward walking in the scene at Heathman hotel. When he was bringing Ana a slice of bread, he was walking like the latter style with the back kind'a leaning back
I just watched a 2022 interview of him before this video and it takes me almost a hot minute to process this is him 7 years ago! His face hasn't change a bit!!!
His smile is something else. When he’s not smiling he’s just sexy and brooding. As soon as he smiles he becomes this adorable teddy bear that i just wanna hug
Forgetting all the drama that's surrounds him because of FSOG, there is just something so refreshing and genuine and lovable about Jamie Dornan. I rewatch this whenever I want to smile
Fellow toe walker/dancer. I ran track and that's where the calf muscles got me. Over developed upper calves are not made for long distance, coach said I was running "correct" on my toes, but my Drill sergeant called me a "jelly bean" at 17 and taught me the proper way to heel toe it. Same thing with my son and husband. Loved your story and having someone else go through it too ❤
best thing is when at the end everyone's just patting him on the back and congratulating him on learning to walk properly now!!
best thing is, that its the first time i've seen a comment with thousands of likes but still no reply in 4 years??😂

Now that you mention it I did find it quite strange the way her walked at the end lmao.😂
When he was bringing Ana a slice of bread, he was walking like the latter style with the back kind'a leaning back
Kay JayP He did his old walk when Ana fell into his office, he walked to ask if she was ok i went back and saw it and laughed so hardXD
***** ha! I'm going to check it out! In fact, I remember him weeble -wobbling when he walked over in that scene, so I think you're right!
It must be awkward for him knowing everyone knows him as Christian Grey
* Paual Peter Specter
The huntsman/sheriff on Once Upon A Time
I know him as Paul Spector.
Yeah must be a bit awkward for him. But then he just remembers how incredibly rich Christian Grey is gonna make him, and he's happy again. :P
***** :-D same
I just watched a 2022 interview of him before this video and it takes me almost a hot minute to process this is him 7 years ago! His face hasn't change a bit!!!
Look at Dornan's face! He's drop dead gorgeous! I'm totally addicted...have you seen him in the Fall? He's not only beauitful, but can act!
He's not how I expected him to be. Cute, awkward, quirky, outgoing, funny... I LOVE HIM!
fucking hell he so adorable, his eyes, his body, his smile, his laugh, his jokes omg he ruined my life now i'm gonna to watch 50 shades of grey
That accent. That humor. That walk. HE'S PERFECT
Hats off for the honesty. You will make a lot of people feel better about their idiosyncrasies.
His smile is something else. When he’s not smiling he’s just sexy and brooding. As soon as he smiles he becomes this adorable teddy bear that i just wanna hug
Smoking hot, tall, and funny??????? God damn
Yay lol
Youre pretty yum yourself🤭🤭🙂
He's so adorably funny. Love his smile
Forgetting all the drama that's surrounds him because of FSOG, there is just something so refreshing and genuine and lovable about Jamie Dornan. I rewatch this whenever I want to smile
I just realized that Ant and Dec was there!😂 Jamie's walk is aboslutely hilarious! Never saw him laughing this much at a interview. Great to see that!
Loved your story and having someone else go through it too ❤
I can't wait to see him as christian grey.
I can't get over this interview! I've watched this video more than five times already and it has never failed to make me laugh
my first Jamie interview I've watched and he just caught my heart.... Charming man he is!!
Jaime is so gorgeous and his accent is so cool. What a cute story.😂💜💜💜
I'm not a fan of 50 Shades, but I find Jamie to be simply adorable. He's a great actor, and seems so humble.
