Learn with what works better with you. If you are more of a visual learner, UA-cam tutorials will help you faster than theory would. If you are more of a reading type learner, learning the theory works better.

If this is your first time playing youll want to practice hands seperately until theyre fluent. If you focus on just this song everyday, you can probably get it down in 1-2 weeks.
I recommend though learning how to read sheet music, then you can write in fingering, this helps a ton when learning new songs.
The fingering in this video is kinda strange, isn’t it?
Is there any difference in using the Synthesia app or just learn from the video?
You can also repeat the chords if you sing with it so that’s what I do

Which method did you choose to learn new songs? Sheets or tutorial? I'm a total beginner.
If u wanna be able to play better by ear, go for turorials like this. If you wanna be able to read sheets better, then sheets. I suggest that you learn both after a while though ;)
