How ? When the Logitech g29 or below WONT WORK WITH IT ??? It’s incompatible and takes away even more from a game that had so much potential
I see how the career lawnmower matches work where you rack up points...but the scoreboard for wrecking others doesnt seem to work in matches?
The driving physics and damage model look incredible.
Please buy this instead of The Crew 2

Maybe it's because The Crew 2 sinks into typical Ubisoft untidiness. Big impressive worlds that are either boring, tedious or hard work to grab any enjoyment from.

I think the funnier part was the implication that the rock music was bad because it was really really loud or something.
There is good rock music, and then there is pointless rock music. Clearly the reviewer felt this belonged in the latter category.
The game does have crap music even if it is rock
tbh the music in this game isnt so much good, but also they needed something lika a sound engineer because it sounds like they just paste a music player onthe game and called a day
This is the only racing game where I've ever went to the settings to turn the music UP. Super refreshing soundtrack in a world full of forza horizon soundtracks.
Finally we get a proper demolition-derby game.
Last proper Demo derby game I played was Test Drive: Eve of Destruction on the original Xbox.
This game is surprisingly amazing! My fav demolition racing game after Flatout 2.

A while back in early access the devs put out a poll for the players to see what music we wanted. The poll ended with (I think) rock/metal and edm being the top requested song styles
BUT WHAT IF YOU LIKE HEAVY ROCK/METAL MUSIC!!!
it's okay. not enough songs. you can play your own music as with every pc game though
Yeah, it's like a handful of songs. Nowhere near compared to the old FlatOut games.
I hope they give us a proper soundtrack for the console release this fall.

Bought this one in Early Access, each update has brought more fun and more destruction. The modding community is very active, so there are lots of things that can be added to the game as well. If you ever played Flatout / Flatout 2 then I recommend this game. Made by the same studio.

They forgot to tell you, this game was made by the awesome dudes who made Flatout 1/2 & Ultimate Carnage. Ps4/Xb1 version coming out later this year!

Unlocked the platinum for this game on PS4 today - it’s a fantastic racing game with loads of variety. One of the few racing games I’ve played where I still have a good time even if I don’t win the race - the destruction is great and the aggression of the AI is refreshing and makes you concentrate more than a generic racing game.

Nice! We don't get these type of games anymore. The last one was like Flatout 2, that was a tonne of fun.
This looks excellent fun. Been looking for a driving game that got away from being too serious and this is it.

I just remembered that destruction 64 does not have a tube and it's still a great game, although I think it could put limited turbo in wreckfest to give a good beat sometimes

Good review, but music is very subjective (duh). I actually liked many of the songs (being into rock/metal) enough to listen some of it when not playing
Times have changed, most people like shitty pop music nowadays unfortunately. Rock/Metal soundtrack was one of the things, that made the FlatOut series special.

The music is awesome! One of the main reason i enjoy bugbear games. the simple ui is also a thing that i love. it gives us the old flatout 2 feel. do you guys want just another generic racing game with generic music like nfs or what?

This is the unofficial Flatout Remake
It's made b y the Flatout developers so..
It's made by the same team who made Flatout 1-2. Later Flatouts (that were pretty shit, especially Flatout 4) were not made by these guys, they only made the best ones
Too bad the tracks don't reflect Flatout. Flatout had awesome themed tracks. These all look lame and same-y
Around half of Wreckfest tracks are based on real tracks. They took more realistic approach this time, influenced by real banger races and Scandinavian folkracing. The handling is actually pretty realistic too, would say better than Dirt 4 to be honest..
Has steam workshop support so dont stress about tracks

the only thing bad about the soundtrack is that there aren't enough songs. otherwise it's okay. and we are talking about a pc game here. just use your own music if you like.
Well deserved score, the online mode is fantastic. Even if you are crap, you can still cause havoc and have fun.

Amazingly gamespot some people like heavy metal music! I think it makes the game way more fun
I was about to say! Metal and hard rock is the only music that should be on the soundtrack of such a game. I'm sick of all that electronic dubstep crap every other game has nowadays
Not even a fan of driving games, but you should download this as it's free on ps plus and at least give it a go even just for the dualsense controller. Absolutely brilliant
“heavy rock obnoxious enough to turn off the music” sounds like you just have a bad taste in music

it is 100% worth the money the game isn't crammed with content but the mod community seems quite big plenty of extra vehicles and tracks etc :D if you like to do some funny and more relaxed racing this is def worth buying! don't take it too seriously or i garuntee you won't enjoy it

Best $45 I've spent in ages. This game is amazing.
Love wreckfest. Play it with my girlfriend for those quality nights in of smashing other cars to bits. We've also managed to get two friends to pre-order it for ps4 😀. Gotta love those figure 8 tracks and the carnage that ensues.

Exactly what Flatout 4 should've been, although a fine game in it's own right, but Bugbear shouldn't had left the franchise like that.

‘All old muscle cars’...there’s a Toyota Supra and small European cars plus the Honda CRX! Certainly not a muscle car.
One massive let down with this game is that they do t let you have a custom liveries :(

Comfy Cabbage I'm really surprised. I loved the original FlatOut games and I was an early backer of this one. I think it's like a 7/10. The game is not bad but it feels 'basic' and kind of unfinished.
Maybe it's just the bitter taste that's left in me after the painful slog that the early access was.
remind you this is a proper independent game Bugbear Entertainment is a indie developer now so they need a little support to complete the game with updates

I think soundtrack fits the game, it's not right when you implicate it's bad and recommend people to turn it off.
