How do you make a date thats 0 which is showing 0-Jan-00 into Blank or a dash ?

HI Summit. I wanted to "BOLD" my numbers under 'Custom' formatting and i do not seem to get it right . In other words for example I know that i can add [Red} in brackets to get the numbers to show in 'red' font, but how do i get them to show in 'Bold ? ( by the way the [Bold] in brackets do not work. Any pointers>? please thx martin
