from Kyoryuger & Ryusoulger, I realized if the team have no yellow and will get a sixth ranger, the sixth ranger will be gold to fill the yellow slot too
In a way it furthers his point because pink and female white rangers tend to have unique accents, and their energy tends to be represented by the secondary color. The white Ninninger for example feels like she's more represented by light purple than by white.
Another cool thing between Black and Green Rangers is that, when they're on the same team, they're usually plot related to each other or have some significance that puts them apart from the rest of the team, kind of like a duo inside the team. Liveman's Black and Green were later additions to the team, and were introduced at the same time as the new members. Same thing happened with GoOnger, where Black and Green are introduced once again after the original ranger trio. Kyoryuger also has some plot points between Black and Green.
The primary ranger colors that are the most popular is the Red Rangers, Blue Rangers, and Yellow Rangers. Jake: “Ah Gosei. I believe that you got my ranger color wrong.” Gosei: “Jake there is a logical explanation for this.” 14:13 I would call Zyuoh The World, if they adapt Zyuohger, as the Tri Ranger due to his three colors Gold, Black, Silver.
Cpuple of things to note: 1. Red is likely the colour for the leader because it is arguably the most significant colour of Japan 2. Did you forget staceasar and hakaiser?
One thing i find interesting about Pink is how Toei seems to be pretty "conservative" when using that color in Sentai, only ever allowing 1 male ranger to have it as a color, while Kamen Rider had 3 separate main riders whose primary color is pink (4 if you count Vice)
Some Sixth Rangers Misconceptions Had Been Resolved with The Attachment Unit to the Gokai Cellular, that being the Gokai Tsuika Unit. 13:13 Stag and Beet Buster are considered Sixth Rangers 14:34 Houou Soldier is considered the Sixth Ranger
What would you consider the extra heroes that weren't listed, how would they count towards the total? -Magne Warrior (Bioman) -X1 Mask (Maskman) -Neo Jetman (Jetman) -Ninjaman (Kakuranger) -Signalman and White Racer (Carranger) -Zeek and Jeanne (GoGoV) -Deka Swan, Bright, Gold, and the Fire Squad (Dekaranger) -Zuuban and Akared (Boukenger) -Rio and Mele (Gekiranger) -Princess Shinken Red (Shinkenger) -Gosei Green (Goseiger) -Green Hippo and Black Puma (Gobusters) -Akibaranger -Kyoryuger Brave -ToQ 7gou (ToQger) -MidoNinger (Ninninger) -Zyuoh The Bird (Zyuohger) -Ryusoul Brown (Ryusoulger) -Zenkai Red, Stacaesar, Hakaizer, and Twokai Flint (Zenkaiger) -Zenkaiser Black, Sonoi, Sononi, and Sonoza (Donbrothers) -The High School Heroes -King Kyoryu Red (KingOhger) And that's not even getting into all the evil ranger teams...
I had thought of this some time back just remembering of the top of my head, kinda surprised thats theres been the same number of Greens and Blacks, nice to see that they get the same amount of love, black usually has some of the coolest ranges while green has some of the most endearing ranges
I think the reason that the Dragonranger was green was due to the fact that he was envious of his brother Ageru, the Red Ranger, and so they made him green to better represent it. It also is because they didn’t know if the sixth Ranger would be a reoccurring thing, I believe they thought it would be a one and done sort of thing.
Technically Big One, a white ranger was the leader of JAKQ Dengekitai, not the red. Also, Liveman was a 3 member team with green and black being the latecomers.
JAKQ started as a four-person team, with the red ranger Spade Ace in the lead role. Big One was a late series addition, an ultimately failed retooling attempt to boost the ratings.
There are several teams where red isn’t the leader, even in the US. For Kakuranger/Alien Rangers, white is the leader. For Timeranger/Time Force, pink is the leader. In Megaranger, black is the leader. And in Wild Force, yellow is the leader.
16:38 King Zoru said Red was gonna come out on top, but this chart of his clearly shows Red & Blue tied for 1st (Unless TimeFire, Wolzard, and others pushed Red a *little* further here and we can't see it). This video just showed me I need to watch some more Sentai series. I haven't been keeping up with recent Sentai since Kyoryuger, unlike Kamen Rider for me. I told myself while it was airing when ToQger ends then I'll watch the whole thing... It has been *10 YEARS* since ToQger ended and I *still* haven't watched that and the next entries that came after it!
I mean Lupinrangers vs Patinrangers had 2 reds so by that logic even if you ignore the sixth rangers that are red, reds come up on top of Blue by at least 1
Nininger had 3 red ranges at one point Also you should watch ToQger, Right is definitely one of the better Red rangers and lider we've had in recent ish years and Akira is a top tear sixth ranger
Oh god, I’ve explained this so many times for people to understand: LuPat consists of two teams in one series, so they are not the same team. And yes, the Patrangers are a team without a Blue Ranger.
You are correct, it is White Swan but since the suits are mostly white they changed the white part pink for her. Also, Battle Kenya is Green, not Black.
This video came out in my timeline just in the moment I was doing a count on how popular or underused are the colors in all Sentai and Precure series combined based on number of heroes of each color
One thing I’m trying to do with my ranger verse as coma land themed. Power Rangers is reference my team Morphin, Power Rangers, indirectly by way of having the core five consist of red, yellow, blue, black and pink with six Ranger being green, but because of how upset I was about cosmic fury having blue Ranger be evil instead of a good-leaning-double-agent as a workaround for the actor’s other acting commitments, I thought of four good-leaning-double-agent-Rangers that consist of four different metallic colors, platinum of which is depicted as a pearly white, gold, silver, and bronze.
I like how the green/black toss up changes the way the team is presented. If they have a green ranger then it looks more bright and colorful. But if it has a black ranger it looks more edgy and dark.
I both love and a mixed by the color spread in general. I had canon the Morphin grid as selecting Rangers based off traits they either possess or had the potential to possess, but since Sentai runs by different rules I kind of had to throw that out the window. Honestly, the trend of trying to shake up colors emphasizes sentai's recent issues with prioritizing spectacle over the inclusiveness of the fan base. As an adult, I am more inclined towards looking for older Sentai to watch than the newer ones, with some exceptions.
Correct me here, but I noticed Gokai Green normally changes into a black or green ranger, Gokai Pink changes into the 5th ranger female pink, white or others, while they can change into other ranger colors, its the colors i normally see them change.
I know the Jetman White Swan thing has already been pointed out, but there are a couple other errors you made: -Black Knight (aka Magna Defender) isn’t technically considered a sixth ranger, but more of an extra hero -Go Busters gold and silver however are technically sixth rangers, even though they’re the fourth and fifth rangers to join the team, same with Abare Killer (Dino Thunder White) -the ToraDora duo are actually both gold rangers, with Don Doragoku having gold armor with red accents and a mostly red helmet, and Don Torabolt having silver armor with white accents and a mostly white helmet
What do you personally think about the future of Power Rangers because I've said this to other UA-cam channels. I don't know what Hasbro is doing with Power Rangers anymore. They could be doing anything with it. They could be planning to adapt another Sentai season or create something original or cartoon. To be honest I don't think they have any plans for Power Rangers anymore I think Hasbro has just shutdown their TV and movie studios and are going to focus on video games now I'm just curious though if they won't do anything for Power Rangers who will? What do you think?
You forgot to mention X1 Mask in Maskman as the first 6th Ranger, also being Green like DragonRanger. Also, technically Signalman would be considered the 6th of Carranger not VRV Master. DekaMaster technically qualifies as a Black Ranger as well lol.
Couple things I have to say -What’s up with Blues being the smart one ? Can’t we switch em up once in a while and have a color like Green be the smart one ? - I hope Gold and Sliver are core members of the team and have a color like pink be a 6th ranger. Heck I hope they use Dekamaster’s color scheme of grey blue as a 6th Ranger. - Patranger is the only team so far to not have a Blue Ranger
How about Ryusoul brown for being the first official brown-colored ranger? Or Cosmic Zenith Ranger, for being the first "champagne" (beige) colored ranger?
the First 6th ranger is NO LONGER DragonRanger of Zyunranger . Toei acknowledged X1 Mask (colored Green) of Maskman as an official Ranger by releasing a Ranger Key for him. that being said this could still change as in the event Toei release a ranger key for Magne Warrior of Bioman .. he can get the title of first. What is interesting though is that Bioman has a Green 2 and Magne Warrior is in a Black Suit then Maskman has Black Mask and X1 Mask wears a Green Suite.

Inferno Girl Red will have two teammates Blue and Green. I don’t know Blue and Green will have same inferno powers as her or they’ll have different elemental powers.
How many people yelled at you about the mistakes you made. Did you check the Key for Shadoe Ranger? How many Rangers did you forget? Swan Ranger? Gold SPD? TOQ Nanagou (Purple)? Zyuoh Bird (Orange)?
I know the forever red destroys what I’m about to say by Time Ranger/Time Force could the two Red rangers be viewed or classed as a white and a black ranger thus being a red ranger free season! As I said I know the forever red/ sentai crossover kills this idea as both are present in both
It's interesting learning which common archetypes pop up for each colour in Super Sentai, since lately I've been really into the Renegade Games' Essence20 TTRPG system which, among other RPGs based on Hasbro brands, powers its Power Rangers Roleplaying Games, and that game also places the different colours into certain archetypes (mostly by which character archetype the Ranger of that colour played in MMPR), which is the basis for its character classes. This has been one of my main criticisms of what is otherwise one of the TTRPGs I am most interested in running/playing for my group, and for their part Renegade has made attempts to acknowledge that not every ranger of a given colour falls into these roles assigned to them, first by offering alternate class perks for each core spectrum in its Time Force/RPM themed supplement, then by just saying in this year's Beneath the Helmet sourcebook, "okay, yeah, you can just make your ranger wear any colour they want even if mechanically they'd be considered another colour." In any case, the archetype/mechanical niche assigned to each colour in the game are: Black- Heart of the team, basically a bard class Blue- Tech genius Green- "Go ahead of the team to solo enemies" loner type Red- Leader (okay, that one actually describes most red rangers in the actual show) Pink- Ranged fighter (because Kim had a bow weapon in MMPR, and "the girl" isn't an easy role to make class abilities for) Yellow- Fast-hitting melee striker, basically the D&D monk of the classes White- A "jack of all trades" with a bit of every normal core class's gimmick (this one's basically a prestige class your character can upgrade into instead of something you start out with) And from later supplements, we also get: Gold- Tank class Silver- Can pull out different gadgets on the fly to adapt to the situation (because silver/sixth rangers in general tend to have the coolest weapons and armour, I guess?) Orange- Creative and artistic types (maybe because Skull became an orange ranger in that one comic and he was revealed to be a classical pianist in Zeo? idk) Purple- Passionate type who channels the emotions into power (this one I actually know what they're getting at, because Renegade dev Bryan C.P. Steel said on his UA-cam channel that he looked at different purple rangers and noticed most of them had a given emotion as a core character trait) Dark- Anti-heroes who use fear as a weapon
Technically Liveman's Green and black are subsequent or secondary rangers who were only added later in the season, and you forgot to mention X1 mask as the 1st 6th ranger even if he was a one off thing 😊 😊
What I like about KingOhger's color line up is that they were all colors typically associated with royalty. While I do think people that really like pink are queens in their own way, historically, pink is not a commonly used royal color. Purple, or in this case, a lavender, definitely is, though.
I have accidentally classified Jetman’s White Swan as a pink, I am aware and will check my notes more thoroughly next time ☺️
well in the Official dub of the show in the Philippines She is known as Pink Swan.
ive noticed black tends to be the cool or tough guy, and green tends to be for unconventional heroes younger then others or otherwise wacky.
from Kyoryuger & Ryusoulger, I realized if the team have no yellow and will get a sixth ranger, the sixth ranger will be gold to fill the yellow slot too

She's A White Swan Actually Not A Pink Swan From Jetman By The Way
I know the Jetman White Swan thing has already been pointed out, but there are a couple other errors you made:
-Black Knight (aka Magna Defender) isn’t technically considered a sixth ranger, but more of an extra hero
-Go Busters gold and silver however are technically sixth rangers, even though they’re the fourth and fifth rangers to join the team, same with Abare Killer (Dino Thunder White)
-the ToraDora duo are actually both gold rangers, with Don Doragoku having gold armor with red accents and a mostly red helmet, and Don Torabolt having silver armor with white accents and a mostly white helmet
Hate to break this to you on Torabolt but a lot of sources say he is silver which I am calling bs on because he is not that different to Doragoku
Original Green Ranger did have Gold Trimming the others didn't including the Big shield. So he functionally a gold ranger.

This has been one of my main criticisms of what is otherwise one of the TTRPGs I am most interested in running/playing for my group, and for their part Renegade has made attempts to acknowledge that not every ranger of a given colour falls into these roles assigned to them, first by offering alternate class perks for each core spectrum in its Time Force/RPM themed supplement, then by just saying in this year's Beneath the Helmet sourcebook, "okay, yeah, you can just make your ranger wear any colour they want even if mechanically they'd be considered another colour."
In any case, the archetype/mechanical niche assigned to each colour in the game are:
Black- Heart of the team, basically a bard class
Blue- Tech genius
Green- "Go ahead of the team to solo enemies" loner type
Red- Leader (okay, that one actually describes most red rangers in the actual show)
Pink- Ranged fighter (because Kim had a bow weapon in MMPR, and "the girl" isn't an easy role to make class abilities for)
Yellow- Fast-hitting melee striker, basically the D&D monk of the classes
White- A "jack of all trades" with a bit of every normal core class's gimmick (this one's basically a prestige class your character can upgrade into instead of something you start out with)
And from later supplements, we also get:
Gold- Tank class
Silver- Can pull out different gadgets on the fly to adapt to the situation (because silver/sixth rangers in general tend to have the coolest weapons and armour, I guess?)
Orange- Creative and artistic types (maybe because Skull became an orange ranger in that one comic and he was revealed to be a classical pianist in Zeo? idk)
Purple- Passionate type who channels the emotions into power (this one I actually know what they're getting at, because Renegade dev Bryan C.P. Steel said on his UA-cam channel that he looked at different purple rangers and noticed most of them had a given emotion as a core character trait)
Dark- Anti-heroes who use fear as a weapon
Power Rangers : eh, we'll just give Zayto ugly puke color and be done with it.
