- In this beginner's guide, we go over some tips and tricks that will show you how to win races in Forza Horizon 5. What type of car should I use? Why should you play on manual shifting? Another tip. Make a goal of maintaining tire “bite” as often as possible. Whenever your tires aren’t biting, you’re not accelerating efficiently
yeah but im used to 0-60 acceleration with no bite at all, I play keyboard since forza 4 so I adapted to ways to gain bite on 0-60 like spamming the "W" key or have AWD

First tip is good. But I have a much much better tip for you guys on not crashing and swerving way too damn crazy. Increase sway bar tension and shock tension both front and back. (Unless you’re wanting to drift) is the best way.
Bro coming from someone who’s only played mario and never driven a car irl I was so confused. The tips of not always having button on accelerator seem obvious at first but I really needed that

0:39 - this isnt tokyo drift.
control your speed and stop trying to drift.
turn on manual shifting.
2:01 - how to shift
techometer should be at about 5 or 6 to upshift
listen to your motor.
2:51 - the racing line -
FOLLOW THE LINE
blue means your speed can continue
yellow and red mean you need to slow down.
4:20 - race modes
road racing: circuit & sprints, asphault, sanctioned(separated from traffic)
street racing: sprints, asphault, oncoming traffic etc.
dirt racing: racing on dirt
cross country: dirt + road had a crack baby.

offroad races require tread and AWD
road races benefit from RWD

I like A to downshift, X to upshift, B to e brake. Great video, manual is the way to go
leaving this for myself ignore this pls
1. road racing - takes place on asphalt roads
2. street racing - like road racing but with more obstacles to avoid (npc cars)
3. dirt racing - takes place on dirt roads/offroad
4. cross-country - mix of road and dirt racing with more hazards
5. drag racing - takes place on asphalt road on a completely straight line
6. pr challenges (drift/speed/jump etc.)
I play Forza 4 on PC. This is very useful for that game as well.

One of the first cars I bought/built in Forza was a Subaru WRX STI because you can throw that thing in any race and it will do exceptionally well
really great tips video!! i'm surprised i doesn't have more views. i know FH5 is very popular, and probably a lot people get a little frustrated that they can't just drift without consequence.
Yeah FH5 is a rude awakening if you’ve played Need For Speed and Burnout all your life! I hope this guide gives people the push to check it out on Gamepass if they think they wouldn’t vibe with a more “serious” racing game (even though FH5 is very simcade)

You’re right about using manual transmission. I was addicted to grand turismo 4 and using manual transmission gave me faster corners, and it’s fun to play that way. But more buttons presses are required, I play FH2 in a chill way bro, not for lap times, just 4 funn

What really makes Forza frustrating is that the game gives you no introduction tutorial or gives you atleast the basics.
I entered the game and i lost the FIRST race 1000 times, which makes the player think that unless youre a real life car freak or Forza veteran this game is not for you and makes you immediately uninstall after 5 minutes.
I'm pretty sure the first race is scripted all you have to do is complete it. I have never played a Forza game untill fh5 a few days ago it is fun for me.
I beat it first time and havent seen a mention of it being unbeatable, it isnt scripted just very hard

lol I'm such a noob. I tried out a super fast sports car and couldn't control it at all. Even the slightest curve in the road would make me spin completely out of control.
I realized I've been playing the game while fully pressing down on the gas and brake buttons like they were on/off switches.
The game completely opened up to me and almost immediately became more enjoyable once I started varying the pressure I was applying to both.
In my defense, I've only ever played very arcadey (that should totally be a word! Stupid spellchecker! lol) racing games and have recently been playing Mario Kart 7 lol.
honestly my best tip is to just learn the differences between awd, rwd and fwd and try to remember where you power is being sent, when you get that, all of a sudden it makes sense why your awd car can be sent around a corner without too much trouble and your rwd car with 800hp keeps spinning out or just wheelspinning in the first couple gears
Auto brake and driving line is a must at the beginning to help big time dudes
My biggest tip for people just starting out 8s don't be afraid of the walls! You can ride walls for position and slam into them going in to the corner ms way too fast. All to gain great position. It's a way to learn the feel and consequences of braking and easing off the throttle. It's a way to earn early cash and win races while you are getting used to winning the right way.

I am really not enjoying manual. I have always been driving automatic and have my entire focus on handling n braking and I have been pretty good in driving in all kinds of games, racing or otherwise. Been trying manual n automatic in the same race. Not only am i not enjoying manual i am also performing poorly.

I know some people think that the intro isnt offensive because it isnt. Whats wrong with explaining Forza is not mario kart and its actually somewhat 'hard' because you need to brake. Well, i've played Gran Turismo on a proffesional level both with controller and steering wheel. And i gotta say. Forza is a full on arcade game like Mario Kart. It just adds a slight bit of realism. But still try going 320km/h in a corner in Gran Turismo on no assists (like online and tournaments,...) You'll get DNF or if your lucky you dont kill the car and drive like a snail to the pitstop

I bought a series x last weekend I picked up horizon 5 last night, thinking it was more arcade style like need for speed. I’ve been playing need for speed for the last few years but I was sadly mistaken, it’s more like grand turismo

You have to buy the DLC to get the Hot Wheels area. You can still buy the Hot Wheels cars in auctions though.

i was so excited to try and play this game. Until i saw it was an Xbox exclusive. I'm on PS5 and my PC most likely doesn't have good enough specs to run this game at a balance of good framerate and graphics.
Or don't do manual shifting and just tune your car and your good or better also.

im really lost..... i played this game for awhile mostly just drive around the map smashing signs or doing any random races i come accross to earn cash to buy more cars i see other cars jumping off invisible ramps they must have something unlocked that i dont, then theres the Hotwheels DLC it wont show cos i dont have progression in the "STORY!" what ffing story? all i see is random circuts nothing special, theres a task for festivaL TO BUILD A SIGN, WHAT SIGN? WHERE???? IM NOT GETTING TOLD WHERE TO GO!

I've just been doing stuff as it prompts it but I don't fully understand everything either
press start or whatever opens up the menu. select the map. with the map open theres a button to filter elements on it. in my case is Y. uncheck everything but Story. Then start to play the storys
things will be unlocked after some progress in the game. you are right, ramps are some of the things that will be unlocked
Think and use ur eyes buddy, u can even search tutorials on yt

God damn this is the reason i uninstalled this damn game, the sliding. One quick turn to the left or right and my car would start sliding like a damn bailarina on snow skates. It was ridiculous, i just went back to need for speed.

In a Race game it should be about cars. Not here. here you can roleplay as a gae they them and have a homosexual main story instead of a Story about a Car or a Race.
@@3679god it is about cars. The character creator was about 30 seconds of the gameplay. I barely even noticed that part about the game. I’ve only noticed that I can drive cars and race. There’s no role paying in the game. You’re basically complaining about something that is completely optional and takes up 0% of ur time and effort. What you’re complaining about is a little option where you can click on pronouns. I think pronouns are stupid as well but I literally just clicked “he him” and started driving. I didn’t even think about it.
