I have had back injections. It reduces the inflammation and makes you feel great, but it doesn’t heal the problem. J.D. is not very good. The Mets should sit him, use Lindor as DH and play Acuna at shortstop.
@@RenePerez-pu4cj Years ago, my back was so bad I couldn’t get out of bed or a chair. I had to crawl to the bathroom. The injection made me feel better, but I needed another injection in a few weeks. I have chronic back problems, but I don’t take those injections because they only mask injuries and destroy the bone. Lindor shows no structural damage, so why is he stiff and in pain?
I like it. But I’m concerned about Vientos. Struck out 5 times last night. JD is a veteran. Who is more likely to handle the situation? I don’t know the right answer. Glad I’m not Mendoza.
It doesn't really matter either one played third the other one should DH you're 100% right play all three guys JD Martinez Off the Bench unless he gets hot
Aside from the Met rookies having boat-loads of talent, the scouting reports are scant. This is why they are excelling to a degree. That contrasts the guys already playing this year. Francisco is stepping in the bucket too much. A playoff team/pitcher will take advantage of this. Alonso's swing is too slow and this requires him to guess at every pitch and since he's a head-case right now, he's not very good at it. If you saw Acuna's homerun 2 days ago where he jacked one out on a down and inside pitch, that's a pitch Alonso could never hit. Teams bust him inside and he swings at balls that were never even in the pathway to becoming a strike. This results in him being jammed and weakly popping up to the right side, swinging and missing horribly, or getting hit while swinging. If he's able to survive this inside pitch to remain at-bat, Alonso is now physiologically done. He now has to start thinking,"Are they going to throw an outside fastball or outside slider out of the zone?" Inevitably, Pete starts leaning over the plate. If I can see it, the catcher can see it. Then they bust him again inside. Even when he's looking for the outside slider, his mindset is to see it and pull it when it should be to take it or drive it to the right. Since his swing is too slow, he has to commit to swinging at the slider as soon as he recognizes it and this often results in him swinging and missing at a pitch that wasn't even close. Somebody needs to work on him shortening his swing or he'll continue down this path of batting .230, 85 RBI, popping up to the right side, striking out often, being a headcase, relying on guessing at the plate [often referred to as 'heating up,' and having it affect his pretty good fielding.
Idk. I feel Senga might need to come out of the bullpen. The current starters deserve to continue their successful playoff run. Blackburn never impressed me. Still, it's a good problem to have.
