What an _interesting_ character. The demon queen has three rules for her soldiers, and one is "never use your power for selfish gains". She states with smouldering rage "I do not abide cruelty". And yet she is framed as evil. Very interesting and fun juxtaposition, I didn't expect it coming it. Very good script! :>
She said she was too harsh, yet she did everything to help set this hero on a better path. She tried her hardest to guide him, even after he rejected her multiple times. It’s very honorable.
Some days later. Battered and bruised i am again knocking on the door of the demon queen. Barely able to stand on my feet i stumble in, shyly admitting: "You were right... the gods didn't react nicely to my failure... they punished me severely..." Falling to my knees: "I don't know where i could go now... Can- can i still join you?... Would you still take me under your wing?" That audio is a really good take on the gods-just-send-a-rando-to-fight-the-bad-guys-for-them-cause-they-can't-be-arsed-to-do-it-themselfes-theme, well done Fae! Hope you and everyone who reads this has a good one! ;)
Been looking forward to seeing this audio get made for a long time, and you certainly fulfilled the anticipation! Gods this was just fantastic, genuinely the only thing that wasn't damn near perfect for this was the script calling for the hero to reject such a perfect offer x3 The personality for the Demon Queen was just phenomenal, you did such a wonderful job making her come across so collected, composed, confident, and yet exhausted by this conflict. Also it was quite a treat to get to hear you voice another character in the audio, it was so lovely to get to hear the shift from the rich, seductive and warm voice of the Queen to the pleasant, considerate and caring tones of Aneiran! That was such a delightful detail and the contrast between the two served to heighten the way that the Queen's voice oozed with confidence and power. An incredible take on the trope of the hero sent by the gods to take down the cruel Demon Queen. I'm absolutely in love with this character already, and eagerly looking forward to hearing from her once more! And of course, very excited to see more of Aneiran, too! Thank you so much for making such a wonderful work!
There is this archetype I have been obsessed with. Well, not really a archetype, as I only seen it like twice, but I will call it one anyway. Let call it the "Surtr" archetype. It is a violent and cruel and cathartic one. "Go on then" You spit. "strip me of my strength. Cast me to my fate." A part of you understood that she was telling the truth, though you were ready to admit that. No, the important thing is the tinge of vemon in her words, so subtle that it seems she doesn't even realise it. Created by the universe to counterbalance the gods? What arrogant! What Narcissism! If her word about the gods be true, then she stands no different! And so she casts you out and everything she said would happen came to be. The gods threw you out, and your fellow man denounced you, and with that with your faith is shattered and the last dregs of your heart are burned to ash. The general is here, as she promised the queen she would be. "Oh, hero" She says. Comfort in her mind, and a insult in your. "BEGONE" You scream, sounding more animal than man. "MAGGOTS, THE LOT OF YOU! LEAVE ME BE, IN THE MUD AND DIRT! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" And so she does, leaving to report the sorry state you are in. You fall to your knees and begin to weep. And slowly, your weeping turns to laughter. You understand now. It is so clear. They are maggots, writhing around ontop of this corpse world and declaring themselves kings and queens. None of them are different. You will not stand for another second of this. You will slaughter the gods and BATHE IN THEIR BLOOD. YOU WILL BURN IT ALL AWAY. And so, you stand, and start looking in the mud and dirt for the means of your violence. You start small, of course, but you can work your way up. You toil endlessly, and the earth give you its secrets. You learn of magics and of machines and in time you master them. You learn of those like you, lowly things throw out of the world, and you made yourself a army. Many share your dream. That one day, after the fires, man will rise from the ashes and make something of themselves, this time free of chains. Most just want to watch the world burn and think of very little. It doesn't matter. They will carry the torches the same. You make spells of incomprehensible power and cruelty. You make machines of war beyond any reckoning or control. You home your body, channelling your rage and frothing hate and malice towards the world into a deadly point, able to easily tear apart the greatest of beasts and men. You revell in devouring their flesh. Years pass. Then decades. Then Centuries (turns out blood magic is very useful for artificially extending your life. Your soldiers start praying to you as a god. "They are the inevitable!" They scream. "The ultimate end to all firth!" Perhaps, in your anger, you have become like those you seek to destory. Doesn't matter. You will not be a tyrant. You and all those under you understand that the fires that are to come will burn all, including yourself. You will all be martyrs. And one day, while the gods above continue their war, the ground will crack and erupt and your carnival of horrors will spew forth. To make ruins of it all. This is not a good ending. There are no winners, only survivors, if any at all. There is no mercy or kindess in these flames. But it is a alluring promise. That, with overwhelming violence, you can cleanse reality itself.
I came here of my own accord. Those gods never even gave my pleas and prayers a second thought until it was convenient to them. I'm merely here to see truly if you're as bad as they say, and maybe even see if you could aid me with something. Will I still be me if I accept, no matter what shape my soul should take? Cause like, that's the only question I have and only sticking point keeping me from saying "hell fucking yeah"
i belive the listener wants to go to a human village but stumbles upon a village of civillan demons and sees how the live and sees how they are just like the one THEIR fighting for so they turn back. OR they go back but now see how cruel their sides treats both their citizens and especially demons. maybe they start a rebellion who knows
Honestly I am jealous about ur voice I’m pretty sure ur a trans girl given the TF4A tag and I’m jealous of how much u sound like a “normal” woman that I’m honestly so envious about it But I’m a trans girl with an Adam’s Apple 😭😭😭
It's a result of voice training. Lots and lots and lots of voice training. I know how daunting it can be, but I'm sure you can get a voice you're happier with eventually, it's just a slow, hard process.

Ngl, the line "Return to me when you grow a heart" hits hard. I might use it in the future.
