    They both sound very good but I like the 6M a little more.

    They’re both good! I like the character the 6M had. SBA’s are great but it’s the 6M for me

      Yes I think the 6Ms are amazing horns, definitely one of the best horns ever.

    For me, it's a blooming tie. Selmer is more free blowing, but the Conn has its advantages too, an underslung neck. I have a late 10 M with underslung- double receiver neck. Last song was really the test. this material rocks my socks every time!

    I like the sound of the Conn 6M!
    It's really alive!
    You sound so much better on the 6M than the SBA!
    And to think you said that you are not used to it. Lovely tone!

    6M has a little more sparkle to its tone. SBA is a little darker. Both sound great.

    SBA. There’s a reason why all of the pros play VIs and SBAs, the far superior table key mechanism and overall better keywork. I’d still love to have a 6M, but given the choice I’d take an SBA all day.

      Keywork is not far superior lol. You obviously never played one. I own both. The Conn is a selmer killer.

    Great! Hello everybody, does a 1969 Conn 6M sound as good as this 1942 ?

    Hello, can you tell me the case for Conn 6m?

    • @robinchrist7172
      @robinchrist7172 Рік тому +1

      It's very personal, the action and neck angle are a little old fashioned. The tone is great but more leaning towards a traditional tone. I'd say if you want to play more traditional jazz and blues 6M is perfect but my feeling is for more contemporary styles you might want to consider other options. I've recently started playing the P Mauriat 67rul as my main alto but there are many great horns out there. All the best.

    SBAs (the good ones) really only sing when you push them, imho. That's why so many clarinet players like them!

      I didn't know that, I only play very little clarinet. I think it is interesting how many new horns are going back to the rolled tone holes like the Conns..

    Il conn 6m è più brillante e più chiaro il sound mentre selmer sba il suono è più scuro ma tutti e 2 fantastici top
