Really good review, thanks. I wonder if one can simply make their own guard with some mesh? Although wouldn't the seaweed just build up over the guard anyway?
Do you plan on testing this in the sea? I'm keen on getting one myself but no one ships to Australia!
I think if you was to make your own weed guards it might effect the propulsion of the unit (Maybe) but in the sea i think you would have the same problem with seaweed.Another guy got stones in his from touching the bottom of the lake and within 25 minutes of useing it,It broke.So just not ready yet unfourtunatly.Way to delicate for use.

Beans Seal Trips Beans Boats I have had about 5 hours drive time and have had to send it back to poland twice allready 😬.This is no way catered towards the fishermen as its not rugged enough and you cant service it yourself.Hopefully soon the technology will be more catered to the consumer.
i will wait for the v2 lol, want it to record the seals swimming under the water for our business

Is there any way of fixing that exact problem you had with out having to send it away I am leaving for a research expedition soon n can’t send it away I am sure you understand my frustration? If you could even point me in the right direction as to where I can get a workshop manual for it that would help thanks man love the review
Just really if you hit weed or any debris on the bottom try not to give it too much on the motors, And try and pull it slowly to you or away from the bottom by the cable. I hardly use it now on the River too scared to use it 🤣😂. But got the Powerdolphin, First day i used it on the River got weed caught in the motors. Because there is always stuff travelling down rivers. And luckily a kanoist was coming past and retrieved it for me. Could be such a good machine but it's just too delicate.

Can x, y, z coordinates be recorded? If yes, in what format?
Can it be integrated with a gps module if it does not include gps?

The sonar video plays in a loop... The underwater video is very short....
Nice review, like you said, all a bit pointless if you can not go near weed. Looking forward to your next review on this unit. Did you mention a price for this?

Can you, please, clarify, whether this ROV is able to write GPS-position (coordinates) into EXIF-header of jpg/dng file, which it shoots?
Or may be you can recommend some othe ROV model that can do this.
I need this functionality in order to map bottom pollution and make web-GIS which shows garbage locations (georeferenced points) with repective photos shot by ROV.
Just approximate position (RC/controller position) will do since I will be deployng ROV almost vertically from boat.

Really chaps me off that a company releases a product for a couple thousand bucks (USA) and they leave out a design implementation that would cost them probably 2bux to add, yet they skip right over it. Also, for them to jamb 100 feet of cable into a box with a tag that says “Ha!, good luck wrapping ME up again “ is ridiculous! He’s exactly right though, at this stage, it’s not good for anything other than sticking in your backyard swimming pool. This video convinced me NOT to buy one. I will check out the Gladius to see how those reviews are going.
