I have a mantra id like to share for the 2nd caller: Do things from love, not for love.
Are you telling him you love him because you want to lock someone down to make you feel more stable and secure- or any other reason besides just wanting to express to someone you love them?
I agree, maybe give him 3 more months and see if he progresses along with you in the relationship. If him not saying he loves you by that point is a deal breaker for you- then you what to do. The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much, and forgetting that you are special too. Yes, help others; but help yourself too. If there was ever a moment to follow your passion and do something that matters to you, that moment is now. Have fun with the person you love and bring light and positivity to the relationship and that’s what you’ll receive back. If you’re always wanting to have serious heavy chats and trying to convince or guilt him to do what you want then that will never lead to a long lasting strong partnership.

I'd argue the 2nd girl is actually not that confident. If she was she wouldn't feel the need to control the situation, including setting monthly checkins, and wouldn't hesitate to live her own life naturally with or without him... If you have to question that much about whether someone feels the same as you do, they probably don't & you should keep it moving.
Tip and earn with confidence! get that good karma (aim to always do 20% and just mentally assume its part of the rate!)
Get that clarity as to what you can actually afford, and act your wage (NO SHADE, no judgement just real talk), and you won't step on as many toes. For example: if you cant actually afford a massage WITH a tip for the massage therapist, buy a $30 massage wand online. There are options! The fact is, we're all underpaid until we're not anymore (like ppl w/ several streams of income developed after years of investing, gaining financial strategy and education). Also let's fight for a better system for everyone!

Coffee: do you tip 20% for both a drip coffee and a cappuccino? One obviously takes more effort.
Hotels: tip the maid the same amount whatever hotel you are at. No percentages. Also depends on how often they turn down the room.
Definitely tip the housekeeper! The bellman and valets get regular tips but the poor housekeepers rarely get anything.

I used to do in-home computer work in the west LA area. Tips were welcome and made the job worth it. They also felt deserved since I went above and beyond what was required. Never expected though! I later transferred to Glendale…. The tips pretty much stopped, cuz… Glendale. . I quit that job pretty soon after that.

For work like plumbing, I feel comfortable tipping if they are contracted by my home warranty and they “hook me up” with a good repair/replacement under the warranty.

I'm late to the tipping discussion, for good service at a sit down restaurant, 20%. For carryout, 10%, for personal services(massage, hair, nails,etc.) at your discretion but probably 15-20% AND, I absolutely hate the swivel to pay bs with all the tip amounts conveniently displayed, it's a bit much to tip for someone pouring you a coffee or hand you a donut.
I’m a house call massage therapist and with in home massage as the sole proprietor vs working for a massage app- it would ideally be nice if I could charge extra/whatever I feel I deserve but I have to compete with the apps. The apps offer you a subscription and the convenience of being able to book a therapist whenever you want- even last minute. As the only therapist and sole proprietor you don’t have as much availability to offer people. That’s the big difference I see. I have to be able to still get business, I can’t be charging people more than the apps would when people have to book a week out with me instead of being able to book day of the second their back starts hurting.

All of the arbitrary rules on tipping is why things just need to cost what they cost without going down this road at all. Then people paying don't have to agonize over politeness math, and the workers don't have to wonder if they're going to have a good month or a bad month due to inconsistencies in tipping. But America loves tipping and hates the metric system, so what are you gonna do. I need more sunglasses.

Please don’t just tip 20% everywhere! It encourages bad service. I have had servers give me such poor service that others brought my food and drinks. I tipped Them not my original server. Be gracious with a well deserved tip but don’t reward bad service. I’d rather tip 30% to good service to encourage that behavior instead. Also if your job gets tips Be Good at it and Friendly to a fault. Fake doesn’t count.

Even at a bar? If the glass of wine is $10 or $25 why should the worker get more money for doing the same amount of work just because the owner charges more for it? I like Moshe's idea of $1-2/drink better, (unless it's an intricate cocktail and requires more work than handing over a beer or pouring wine)

I think most people mainly tip for things where the result is instant, performance based, whereas with a plumber or handyman, you really don't know if the job was done well until you've seen the problem has resolved & the fix has held up a good amount of time. Although, my Dad tips the plumber & handyman, but they show up for emergencies pretty quickly, give him a decent deal, & fix the issue. I never tip for takeout or if I'm not satisfied with the service. (like if they effed up my hair or something & aren't offering to fix it.)

I’m a good tipper, 20% minimum a lot of time I break into the 30+ because I know the servers need it. However, I absolutely hate tipping on to go orders where I go to the restaurant, go inside, and pick up the food myself.
It’s an imperfect world but Natasha is 99% right. 20 % standard across the board (even your morning coffee). If service is good enough for you to COMPLIMENT the server/worker, 25%. It’s not a guessing game; it’s pull your calculator app out from the phone you’re probably already on and total bill x .20

Popped over from Apple podcast just to comment 2 things. 1. I love Natasha’s vibe with the glasses. However, Moshe rocks those tinted glasses. I also think they compliment each other well so you can get by with you both wearing them. 2. The tipping debacle. $1 per drink or 20% per tab I agree with. I think if someone is serving you & making less than min wage you should tip though I HATE the required 20% thing. Businesses should pay a living wage and tips should be extra not the tip BEING the living wage. That’s ridiculous. Also, coffee shops (at least where I am) don’t take tips 90% of the time and they pay min wage or over. Hosts who put together takeout orders make min wage or more so depending on the place I don’t always tip on takeout. 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll always think it’s dumb but people need to eat. 3) poor Pablo deserves love and Moshe is his human- hopefully it’s semi an act from Natasha.

I always thought the fashion rule was look in the mirror before leaving the house and remove one accessory because less is more and often you’re wearing too many things. Natasha loose the chains glasses or barrettes you’re too much today given the pattern on the dress coupled with her personality.

On tipping: I've started going to a local bowling alley for their $2/game special on Tuesdays. I pay $12 total for 3 games, shoe rental, and bottle of water. The employee picks and turns on a lane for me, gives me my shoes and water bottle. Receipt comes out a tip line. Do I tip? If so, how much?

Everyone was arguing, based on different rules and standards, no one was understanding each other and in the end, NOTHING was resolved regarding tipping. This was the most annoying, frustrating and aggravating episode of the show I've ever heard.

American’s are insane with the tipping. We only tip waiters and food delivery peoples in S. Africa. Everyone else is doing their job so we pay the amount quoted.
I disagree about closure. Neurodivergent people have close friends and lovers disappear all the time with no warning. That takes a toll on someone over time. I think it’s cowardly for people to not break up in person at the time and at least give a reason. It’s quick and let’s people know what happens. Those of us with obsessive thoughts and different brains won’t obsess over it and we can heal quicker. I think it’s immature to not just say “ hey, I don’t like you and don’t want to see you anymore.” That closes the door for me and the message is clear. Please don’t promote flakiness. Neurotypicals may not care, but many of us experience constant abandonment and have high risk of things because of how people treat us. Not excusing toxic people. Breaking from toxic or abusive people is different. But to treat everyone like that is wrong and toxic /abusive in itself
