Its one of those 'what ever number you chose, it would've been the same answer' thing.
Press read more for an explanation
The key to these are the 'now subtract by your original number' because if you think about it, that number you choose is irrelevant if It's going to be subtracted anyway.
6 comes from the other numbers:
5-1+2=6
It doesnt matter how big your number was, that would've ended up meaning 0 because of the 'subtract by your original number' thing
