I was so disappointed in mine, out of box it had a messed up handle which I corrected. I honestly should have sent it back but it was an east fix . That said after many years and also reprofiling the edge I just don't care for the knife that much. It does have a unique handle which works well with certain styles of use. It's basically a expensive hunting knife for someone who wants a one and done lifetime purchase. The sheath is a cool design , I love that it's easy to deploy and rides very nice, BUT that buckskin leather is all show and no go way to thin. The choice of materials is horrible , if it were thick vegtan leather, it would be excellent . The S30V is ok but it's chippy if you go under 19° on that secondary . I reprofiled mine twice because of that issue . Mine has been for sale in my head for about two years now , I just haven't posted an ad yet 😁
I've had my 162 well more than 10 years now, but I asked a Benchmade rep about the scales before I bought it. He said they use a commercial grade epoxy along with the Titanium tubes to secure them. He said, Those scales aren't going anywhere. 😉
Awesome job brother
Thank you very much
Nice review my dude
Thank you much
Looks like a very capable blade, I like the way it curled that oak! Agreed on the holes... Fashion over function there.
That is a thing that seems to happen alot in the knife world as of late.
I always liked this knife just not the price
I have to agree with you there
I got one coming in the mail and the first thing I plan on doing is ordering another sheath from BPS knives for about $20.
I will have to check out that company. Thank you.
This is a nice knife. They redesigned it for this year and I don't like the new one. Plus added another $100 to the price tag for the same materials.
An extra 100 bucks for what is the same knife... that is disapointing. I cant say that I can suggest this knife at that price point to be honest.

Yeah I had higher expectations for it. It is not worth the price
Decent knife with an almost decent price
I’m really liking the EF blades you’re reviewing
I like them too. They are good blades and don't cost an arm and leg

@@bruceallen6016 that's good news, thank you for sharing that info 😀
I'll never understand the purpose of drilling random holes in a handle that's gonna take repeated impacts from batoning, etc.
I think in todays world its about how much you spend on an item and not so much how much the item is worth.
