Hey guys! If you’re coming back around to this video or watching it for the first time, you’ll notice a dip in audio quality. Unfortunately, I was forced to remove the song “Midlife Crisis” from the video after uploading it to keep it monetized, but UA-cam’s audio isolation isn’t the best, so my narration sounds pretty bad. My apologies for this, and going forward, I’m learning to find more fruitful ways of playing music that won’t get hit with copyright flags. Thanks for watching!
I loved Pattons "As The Worm Turns". One of my faves! Kinda makes me wish they'd do an album of re-workings with Patton, but I could definitely see the band nixing that, because it could possibly overshadow their work with Mosely. Especially now that he's gone. It was probably why the track wasn't included and/or so hard to find for so long. I do still wish I had a full album Patton sung Mosely-Era material...I would still listen to Mosely-Era no matter if they put something like that out...
The finale of Angel Dust - with TWO epic album closers in Jizzlober and Midnight Cowboy - is so perfect that I feel sorry for people who wound up with the rereleased version with Easy tacked on at the end. It's a cool cover song, but it ruins the flow of the album. I'd love to have a 2-disc collector's edition with all the b-sides and unreleased tracks on disc 2, along with Easy.
To me, Easy was like a nice palette cleanser or an after credits scene. Don't feel sorry for me, It's my favourite album of all time just the way I heard it.
When it comes to the version with Easy tacked onto it, it should have come like a minute or so after Midnight Cowboy. That way, it would have seemed more like an encore, rather than an actual album track.
My CD copy of Angel Dust does not contain Easy, and I am glad. I agree about the flow. I always considered Easy to be a stand alone single, didn't even know they included it on future copies of Angel Dust.
Back in early 92... MTV had a feature about new music and FNM was on it. It was the stuff they recorded during the making of Angel Dust, I was so looking forward to the Seagull song. When I bought the new album (Angel Dust) I was bummed that song was not on it. I have been waiting 30 years for the complete Seasgull song lol.
The album from the famous Angel Dust era ShowTime was recently released on Spotify, well equalized and with wonderful audio. I went hoping to have a Seagull song, but unfortunately it wasn't this time. I still have hope that this complete song will come out.
The song is not interesting to me because it's lost. It's interesting to me because I've heard the snippet we have available and it's goddamn amazing. And it's from my favorite era FNM. I'd loooove to hear it in full. I wish the band would change their minds and release it, no matter the quality or their feelings on it. I won't begrudge the 2 guys that claim to have it because, frankly, I don't believe them.
100% agree. The vocal and guitar melodies are superb and ought to be heard. I wouldnt doubt at least one Faith No More fan is in possession of the full song, considering the fact that we do have a snippet that’s been posted, but also the fact that it is in such poor quality makes me think it may be a tape taken from the studio during the mixing process.
I think it was just a test run. It gives me the feeling it was the first thing they recorded, almost strictly for volume and equalization purposes. Especially after seeing the Making of Angel Dust so many times.
And I wouldn't be surprised if their label asked them to work on something which won't be on the album when a third-party camera team is in the studio. The way Mike Patton is goofing around in this video with the seagull samples gives me the impression that they were just pretending to be working.
Although the internet seems to disagree with me, "The world is yours" was released way before the best-of album on a b-side in the UK. I *think* (it was a long time ago!) that it was released from one of the singles from King for a day. I know there were two different releases for digging the grave (they had different colours covers if I recall), so could we be from one of them. Anyone else recall this or am I finally going senile?
Much as I love FNM it was annoying the way the extras got released. It's standard practice for labels to gouge people by putting a smattering of extras on a greatest-hits album; that way casual fans get stuck paying for "greatest hits" nobody ever heard of, and hardcore fans get stuck buying a bunch of stuff they already own, but I kind of hoped for better from FNM. For that reason I think it's perfectly ethical (though not legal exactly) to leak the whole track; it's not like anyone would say this is embarrassingly bad or anything, it's a great song unlike Das Schutzenfest which I got suckered into paying for. Thanks for posting!

I know of this situation/song and why Shane only released the snippet that he did. True. My band released and album of unreleased material. 22 yrs in a band you collect a lot of songs. Some just don't come out right up on recording them. Our record was a bunch of songs cut for time. Going back was fun and listening was fun. Still a lot didn't make the cut, if you heard them you would know why.
I wonder if the Heil sample has anything to do with them not wanting to release it. I know they were in a trolly state of mind, but who knows… Also the whole thing sounds fairly out of tune. The vocals over the rest of the song. It definitely sounds under par compared with the rest of the album, but it’s still golden era FNM. So despite all that, I also would love to hear it! I can see why they've disowned this track, to me it sounds more like The Perfect Crime (which they wrote for Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey). Or, The Cowboy Song (the bonus studio track from the Live At Brixton Academy album.) It sits in that space between The Real Thing and Angel Dust, before the band knuckled down and decided to commit to something much more assertive and dark. I feel like if they had stuck with this sound and general mood, they would have been the band that was conforming to the success of The Real Thing. I am so glad FNM had the courage and artistic integrity to stray away from that "commercial" sound and explore a much more artistic and experimental area with Angel Dust. Perhaps this is part of why they don't want to acknowledge this track, although it could also be more about legal stuff: Perhaps Slash records have the rights to the recording and so the band can't just put it out there. (officially, anyway).

This is why Patton is "annoyed" in interviews... people don't respect boundaries.
i'd love to answer that question for you: 1. epic 2. falling to pieces 3. midlife crisis 4. be aggressive 5. get out 6. the gentle art of making enemies 7. digging the grave 8. what a day 9. ashes to ashes 10. got that feeling
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept of lost car keys, these are keys which you would use to start a car that are inaccessible to you as you cannot find them. I hope this makes you believe that I'm intelligent and have thoughts.
Aerosmith drums? In what way? Production? I just can’t hear or think of “Aerosmith?!” while Puffy’s behind the kit. Can’t think of the word SUCK either when it comes to FNM. To each their own though.
Reading through the comments on this video, I see there are few fans who truly respect FNM. The fans on this page at least don't respect FNM enough to respect their boundaries. What they want to release or what they don't want to release is up to them. Patton is having a mental health crisis & his fans are over here bitching about a song they didn't want to release instead of being concerned about their Hero?! His fans "love" him yet disregard his boundaries. Love is respecting boundaries. Put self in others shoes for once!
Haha i think the only fan with boundary issues maybe you. Simply commenting on music that is lost to time is some personal affront to your lord and savior Mike Patton. Maybe try not taking this stuff too seriously. Patton would likely dry heave at a video of fans kissing his ass
Uhhh…did you hear what I said? They did a 180 style wise which for many is the nail in the coffin in the music industry. In essence, they survived on career suicide by releasing one of the most forward thinking rock records of the decade
I like Faith No More but I feel as time has gone on they have become a bit overrated. I mean Patton is a good vocalist but he gets kinda old after a while and the up and down tempo of the music get kinda repetitive but this is just my opinion
I feel like as more time has gone by I can appreciate just how special they were & are. Many have tried since & most have failed to capture the lightning in a bottle that these guys possess. They are INSTANTLY recognizable by their sound. That should be the #1 goal of any artist or band.

This is why Patton is "annoyed" in interviews... people don't respect boundaries.
Im new to faith no more
Anybody help me
To know what 10 songs
Should be on my gym
Playlist?
Would be much cooler to just listen to each album during your workout. Though personally I’m not a fan of the pre-Patton era FNM

Thanks for not ansering my question pal!
My answer is go listen to the first album on your workout..then the second on your next..then the third, etc.
Your new to a band and you need help deciding what songs of theirs you like?
Okay buddo
i'd love to answer that question for you: 1. epic 2. falling to pieces 3. midlife crisis 4. be aggressive 5. get out 6. the gentle art of making enemies 7. digging the grave 8. what a day 9. ashes to ashes 10. got that feeling
My guess would be that the apparently vocal shout sample sounds too similar to "heil", and the 2-chord harmony resembles a Queen song. But that's lame
was slipknot inspired by Mr bungle?
of course
I have that song on several CDs. How is it “lost”?!? 🤔
Heh..if in fact we’re talking about the same thing, I’d encourage you to post it then..
Post it.
Then post it!!!
You actually have it, Virus, the seagull song? Did you burn it on a CD when it was leaked? Please, if you have it, do share it
They are really stupid not to release Shuffle. It's one of their best songs. It's better than anything on Sol Invictus
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept of lost car keys, these are keys which you would use to start a car that are inaccessible to you as you cannot find them. I hope this makes you believe that I'm intelligent and have thoughts.
Thanks for the view bud
I hate the Aerosmith style drums. Still would like to hear it though. Even though I think it does probably suck.
Aerosmith drums? In what way? Production? I just can’t hear or think of “Aerosmith?!” while Puffy’s behind the kit.
Can’t think of the word SUCK either when it comes to FNM. To each their own though.
I see why they did not put it out. I won't continue writing this comment since it will piss people off.
Why?
Great. Now I’m pissed.
@@123612100 FNM fans won't like it
@@2free2snakes I like what I heard so far and I'm a big FNM fan.
How about a video compilation of FNM fans concerned about Mike Patton, letting him know we all care if he is doing well in life right now? Does anyone really care about him as a human being? Fanatics look up to musicians like they're a God or something & people are quick to dis their Gods if they don't get their prayers & wishes answered. Maybe why Patton seems annoyed half the time.
How could you say Angel Dust was career suicide? It's one of the best albums ever made!
No Chuck Mosley. No Faith No More.
😂
