@@grantgilbert9678 I think it was 97 … I wrote my comment a little to early admittedly. Cuz, I think the 97 faded just prior to the ‘break’ or shortly there after. In early … thee 97 (?) was killing it on every restart.
idk about that lol, but his mojo right now is lead early. Hes young so where its rough then is as your tires go and others catch you that have conserved their rubber, what lines does he take etc to be fast. He'll learn. Fun Fact is Alan Kulwicki was 97 as well as a young guy so maybe 97 is a whole lol has alot of laps led
Camera work is better than most, all but for the horizon. It's called a "Dutch" angle when used in film and it's kinda stylish once in a while. But soon, the viewer gets a little loopy. I just wanted to point it out, as you are smooth and wide and no herky jerky. So there's good potential. I'm old and condescending. But experienced.
@@grantgilbert9678 If you really want to get fancy, there are DIY to make a gimbal (steadicam). Pretty straight forward, you are shifting the center of gravity. Or just adding weight slows down your actions. Anyway, good shit.
Got damn its wild how 97 shot out like he was getting chased by monsters man. I've never seen someone shoot out like that at lap 1 at the nationals before. And two or 3 times after first cautions. If he can figure out or the team can their 2nd half issues 97 is a track champ at Slinger gauranteed
Those are late models not super late models there's a big difference a super would run away with it pull up the main event series and that's a super late model
idk, its a tricky corner. many bad wrecks with cars climbing then slinging all the way around 3 and basically 4 have happened. One in mind was in the 90s, i was like 8 but remember bc it was for my dads driver he pit crewed for, Marv Zoom Zoom Zuedema climbed the fence and went all the way around till he came to a stop on his hood in 4. with all those pit people there....its a wild place lol
That track is so awesome, thank you for the upload.
You bet next race I will be uploading is the Dixieland 250 August 2nd can’t miss it
Fun Track!!!! Guessing that leader has 10,000+ laps there … the guy out classes the field! (…looks like they all are top drivers - super clean!..)
What number 24???

@@WheelerRickRambles yeah 97 is a weekly guy he did pretty good early on in the race

Such a mesmerizing experience to be there in person for nationals. Great race!
Amazing angle.

What time does this race usually end time wise going for the first time this year just trying to get an idea because I will be driving
It depends on the weather lol the last 2 times there was rain delays I would think anywhere between 8:30-9:30 but I could be wrong
awesome track, great race
Great car count !!!
Every race I've seen 97 he's either one or jumped out and led the race but then lost it late or Midway
Hey Grant, at the risk of sounding simple, What are the requirements to be called a 'slinger'?
haha im not Grant but good ?
the way cars sling around is a funny correlation to the town name though lol good eye
Love it! Where was this at?
Slinger Wisconsin baby
I live in Wisconsin
Does or did Kenseth race there?
Did
Yep. He started from provisional and finished 5th. He'll be there this year, too
#8 MATT KENSETH!!!!
He will be coming back for the Dixieland 250 august 2nd I will be filming that race as well
He didn't have enough power off 2 this year but his skill got him 5th
Phenomenal racing as usual?
I went there this year
You like it?
@@grantgilbert9678 yea the one crash was pretty bad when one car spun out and a green car ran rate into it

@@angryhubby2998 agree it’d be a way better show, but not enough seating
@@grantgilbert9678 The dummies are trying for Bowman Gray. Duh Nascar quarter mile tracks are too small for cup.
It look like the 21 car was driving by the mirrors making his car real wide
