    Amazing work! I saw from other comments that you use a mixture of Scupley firm and Premo and Soufflé. Can you talk about what ratio you mix them in and why? Thank you!

    • @sculptureworkshopiik
      @sculptureworkshopiik 10 місяців тому +3

      Thanks for the question!
      I mix them in order to make them stronger and after many baking there were no cracks.
      By itself, Super sculpey firm or medium blend is fragile, the mixture is stronger.
      I tried Soufflé in practice for the first time. When I saw it in the store, I just decided to try it out. It sticks very well, is soft and has a peculiar texture.
      The proportions are arbitrary, but you can try 1:1 on a small piece. As a rule, I use the mixture on a figurine or frame. If I make a bust, you can do without mixing.
      I also make a mixture to highlight any details from the total mass of the figure. After all, the mixture can be of different colors.

      Specifically in this case, I had a certain idea in my head.
      The filling of details and the positioning of the figure in relation to the stand comes during the process. Usually I never sketch and mold immediately, sticking to the image in my head.
      Thanks 😉

    I would love to know more about the combination vacuum chamber and pressure pot you used.

    • @sculptureworkshopiik
      @sculptureworkshopiik 10 місяців тому +2

      Thanks! I use a custom manovacuum chamber. Where it is possible to vacuum and increase pressure in a short period of time. This allows you to cast figures with good detail. The vacuum removes most of the air from the material, and the pressure reduces the remaining air and moves it into the depth of the casting.

      Initially, I set myself the task of showing exactly how I do my work. The sequence of actions. The materials can be different, ranging from clay or plasticine for modeling, silicone for molds and plastic for casting. At the moment I'm trying different materials, each of them has its pros and cons, I'm looking for the best option. + this would be part of native advertising, and since I make content for free, I reserve the right not to directly specify the manufacturer's company. At the same time, I almost always respond in the comments, talking about this or that material. Thanks for the comment!
