  • I explore the Island of Cyrpus as it experiences one of its biggest droughts in history to see the impact it is having on the country.

Just discovered your channel (now subscribed too) and I’m binge watching at the moment.
I’m looking to permanently relocating to Western Cyprus in the next month or two so you can imagine how much interest I have in this video, my future (as yours) literally depends upon the success of the water system on the island.
Thank you for this video. Greatly appreciated.

Quality Quality Quality I live in Kissonager and the Cypriots never stop washing down the footprint of their properties and washing cars wasting water regards Howard from Cyprus 🎉🎉🎉🎉

You can find places in the world that go through peroids of intense heat and dry winters for many years, and you can find places that go through intense rainfall and flooding for many years. Regardless of what happens globally, it has always happened.
I enjoyed your video though, i'm not educated on these things. I can't help but feel you would be saying the same thing if it was raining all the time and it flooded, which i'm sure has been a cycle at some point in history.
Lets hope they sort it out though, and get the help they need.

The vast majority of golf courses have their own mini desalination plants, its mandated by legislation.
Cyprus has always suffered by water shortages since antiquity, nowdays 4 million tourists a year and an increased population has made things worse.
Cyprus has desalination plants but whats needed is saudi type plant which produces 550 megalitres per day.
