Nothing like doing❄️ Lines❄️ and shooting the shit with Jerry in 1977!
I mean why else do an interview if your Jerry back then. Check out his Frets 84 interview.
God, I love the first set of this 10/2/77 Portland show. One of my all-time fave 77' Betty Board tapes.
Interesting to hear him kind of down on Englishtown 77, IMO one of their best shows ever
He talks about Doug Erwin putting the Wolf Inlay to replace Jerry's Wolf sticker on the famous Wolf Guitar. " I just got it back and I want to see if there's still something between me and it".
'Levitate the Pyramids'...... Excellent & dangerously insightful. Thanks for this.😁😈
@@brandonvalentine2555 the Dead held no appeal to me after their first tour after returning from Europe in '72. Tedious, often times boring shows. Saw them in '74 and '77.
@@jg6698 you should understand your opinion isn't the objective truth, one man gathers what another man spills.
@@ArienDH11 oh, so you're the arbiter of objective truth, I take it? There is no objective truth here, Mr. Philosopher. Only subjective opinion. As a 2nd or 3rd generation Dead head I understand you are required to be slavishly obedient to the cause. Carry on.
I feel dirty just listening to this
Really enjoying the rapport between Jerry and these younger people. Not a hint of condescension from a guy they clearly admire. Neat clip.
Garcia wanted to keep the free dope flowing freely. You know these worshipping little acolytes loaded the wagon for Uncle Jerry.
Well that was...interesting
I'm 5 seconds in and doubly intrigued due to these comments. I can't wait to hear what you ... Oh. Oohh.
The beloved Travis Bean. ♥️
the admiration for the wolf haha wow WE LOVE IT TOO JERRY!!!!
As guitar player…hearing him talk about how instrument material’s effect even tuning is interesting as hell.
Hearing him say they weren't playing that well at Englishtown is wild lol literally one of my favorite shows ever
He almost never thought they played well when they did. I heard him explain it once he imagines what he thinks it should sound like in his head & when it doesn’t come off he hates it. Back when this was recorded he used to go to the bus or hotel & listen to every concert afterwards. It’s amazing & sad as hell that he went from practicing guitar 10-12hrs every single day & methodically going over every concert to not caring at all in the span of just a few years.
He's 💯 right!!!! That was NOT a good show!!!! Why it was ever an official release is baffling....We had a great time, obviously but theshow simply was not happening. Glad to see they realize it....not a big deal at all...
@elliotharris9056 I love that you support Garcia but that peggy-o, Mississippi half step and NFA are all time, in my opinion
"Thank you for your time"
"Yeah well.. my time is not.. I'd be back here talking to the walls"
Love you Jerry
Just getting it back from Irwin…wild needs to mess with it to get it right. Wonderful candid interview. Tuning sucks !
ride that train 🚂
any info about the Yugoslavian band they were talking about? I looked up locomotive G but I don't think that's the right name. couldn't hear what they said.
You hear them snorting coke through the whole thing. Then that drip cough lol
Jerry with his wolf guitar.
lots of coke here lmao
Lsd we ❤❤❤❤😊just.yess!!!!!!its Looking one big picture as Assuming 🥳 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Garcia comparing the US legal system with the Canadian/English one - things sure have changed since 1977 ……
Wild talking about 'dissidents' from Iran two years before the Iranian revolution
None of what he is saying about music and tuning is true. When I was younger I used to believe everything he said
Sniff sniff lol
Doing lines
Drivin’ that train 🚂
I can't explain how happy I am someone recorded this
