Based on the income/expenses, it seems that Uberstein would have run out of money sometime around November 1968.
Uberstein had an interesting history. They came out with a crappy car in December 1947 (the 1st gen Mk 1) before making improvements in 1950 and 1959. Then in June 1962 they came out with the Maco 3300, which despite being a pioneering supercar sold horribly. By June 1963, Uberstein was bankrupt. They ceased production on the Mk 1 and Maco 3300, making the Maco an extremely rare car. The government of Fruinia bailed out the company, which began development on a new, cheaper sporty car called the GT2200. The GT2200 came out in January 1968 and was well reviewed. However, Uberstein’s credit was destroyed by this point, and though sales of the GT2200 were much stronger than any other Uberstein model, the company was doomed and did not even have the production capacity to make a profit against its massive loan burden. On November 1, 1968, production of the GT2200 ended after just 11 months.

You need a small sedan to take a slice of the Family demographic because that's where the money is. Take the A4 engine, make more reliable and less powerful (80hp or so) and you are good to go. Take a look at the Alfa Romeo Giulia for example.
If you can not save the company that way, you can take the shameful path of selling cargo vans lol

What Ondo is I specifically target the family demographic in my first model. I make it as cheap as possible. Family car buyers don't care about power so you can get away with 40-50 HP in the early days.

    A few tips:
    1) click on the specific demographic you wanna build cars for when putting it togheter, it will show you what your competitors are doing in terms of score. Try to beat those scores, that will also improve attractability
    2) Select a better demographic to build cars for, Revenue was low on sports cars. Also take a look at demographic sizes, It will show you have much cars you can possibly sell. That info is important for the size and automation of your factory in regard to how many cars it produces each month.
Maybe you didn't show, but did you set up gearing, brakes and tyres for the specific demographic. You touched it once for baseline and never came back to it?
Do a facelift on the car with these tips, try to keep it as cheap and short as possible for development. Wiggle a bit with the sliders with the factories and so how that chances the forcast in revenue on short and long term.

I always go with the "VW Golf and BMW 3 series" strategy. (Obviously you don't have to make a copy of a Golf lol) Make a base car that specialises in economy, reliability, practicality etc. to get that family demographic, and then go for the "GTI" once you are ready to evolve the model to more of a performance car. Then I basically do the same thing with like a 3 series sedan to get a bit of luxury and still practical, and fuel efficient, then make the M3 as the sports model and so on. :)

You are really good at making the cars look good and look real! I'm always blown away by what you end up with!

well a sports manifold and especially the exhaust header being tubular will kill off production speed and drive up the cost up on the engine side. meaning less profit per car, it also hampers reliability and increase service costs, but the car looked great, but you probably need a cheap to produce car and one you can make allot off rather than a sports car to safe the company

Make a sporty premium sedan next, like an M3. It'll easily sell well with the company's sporty reputation. If you don't use any quality bonus, you can get pretty huge margins on it.

I’d go with targeting the more demanding markets and do something like a cheap saloon with lots of existing/familiar tech and the same engines to reduce as much expense as possible whilst getting good sales

So my life hack fo the dais, when starting out in campaign, alway make your first car with everything as cheao as possible, but a nice interior and more than 40Hp that will sell like hot cakes tor 25 years (3-4 facelifts, addign updated parts, including updating to an auto transmission when its available) and that will probably make you 3 billion, while thats at its peak (about five year sin from my experience) try branching out to other markets, most cars ive sold at one point in the campaign is 4 midels with 2-3 different trims each. Gasmia, apparently likes crappy family cars willth decent luxury, affordable ity, and reliability.

I find the campaign a bit off in recent, I always lose money trying to make cars that will sell but if I make just a feature dump family car with an okay engine I'll always be well in the green selling a 20 year old car
