    Hi the massage I get when I try to replay videos is this
    Device decoding timeout. Check device network? Do I do same process like you here or different way to fix this?thanks in advance.

    Thanks for this video. How to get the correct Ipv4 address and DNS server details?

      You router gives this information to the devices that connect to the network. Your computer or mobile phone for example get this information from it. So just let the camera get the information automatically via DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).

    Wait how? I try to do the same but directly on the device but no changes. Still can't view remotely or access past videos.

    Hi, i have followed your solutions. However, the problem still pops up every month or so...and i need to reboot my dvr. After reboot, it will work normally again..for a month or so and it will start this device timeout again...what do i have to do?

      Just keep rebooting unfortunately. And make sure you update your dvr /nvr to latest firmware.
