I don’t even leave the spark arresters in. I take them out because the gas is so crappy and they carbon up a lot, but great tips love watching your videos. You do a great job.❤

I run many stihl machines and 95% of the time when a machine has a bogging down issue it’s this. We just burn it off with a torch.

I just ran the ethanol free echo, red armor fuel and even brand new I do take out the spark resister or the muffler screen as a mechanic going on 15 years all I run is red armor or the red cans of true fuel, ethanol free that ethanol is a silent killer to your two cycles and that’s that hope this was helpful

I have a new-ish blower that was bogging. Too new for the spark arrestor to be plugged. Loosening the gas cap let some air into the tank so allowed more fuel to the engine. Runs fine now that it's not fighting to pull fuel.

Your shop is very well organised.
Have you ever posted a tour of it?

I have wondered what that big black box is by your work bench.
    Is it a sand blaster?

Something to keep in mind is that the carb will need a bit of fine-tuning (richer settings) in cooler ambient temps,
like early spring / late fall versus the warmer temps of mid-summer.

All Super Liner Cars roots can be traced back to 1952. The Santa Fe Railroad ordered the cars for a New El Capitan Service. The first cars entered service in 1954. The car were known as Hi-Level cars by Budd. In total 73 were built between 1952 and 1964. 61 coaches, 6 lounges, and 6 Diners. When Amtrak took over, the El Capitan and Super Chief had been combined with a transition car to marry the traditional Signal level Streamlined cars of the Super Chief.

Cheap 2-cycle oil, and not running the machine wide-open usually leads to carbon buildup.

Awesome as usual Don, question? Please help!!!! My BP blower will only start if I put fuel in the spark plug hole and stay running on choke. If I take it off choke it dies. It will however run if I full throttle it and flip the choke off, and it runs as normal. However as soon as I let off the throttle it dies, will not idle. Your expertise is greatly appreciated great sir. Forgot to mention it doesn't have the spark arrestor in it

I have 12 Stihl tools for maintaining a large property and in nearly 30 years of year-round use have only had to clean two spark arrestors. Any idea why the blower in the vid needed arrestor cleaning after what looks like very little run time?

My mom has an 8 year old Husqvarna BT130 with a lot of hours on it. I have replaced the carb, did a spark arrester delete, and I checked the exhaust port and cleaned out the muffler. It starts very easily and idles great, but despite the repairs, it doesn't feel like it is reaching the proper speed under load. Are there any other issues that can cause this?

plugged screen comes from using junk stihl oil and not running at full throttle. small engines like this were meant to run at max rprm's, swapped out my oil almost 2 years ago and havent had to clean them since

    Can
They make this spark arrester and the muffler any smaller????? Of course the manufacturer Stihl Very much knew the Maintenance implications but they saved a lot of money On the cost of materials and fabrication. And so we see a trend with equipment everywhere. And that is they are reducing cost at the expense Is up increased maintenance. The manufacturer.
Does not pay for maintenance and They are more concerned about profit.

    • @marcmyers1465
      @marcmyers1465 2 місяці тому +1

Checking an Air Filter is WAY too easy... Maybe shouldn't ask a question like that in front of Company... 😂 Then again checking the Spark Arrestor Screen isn't exactly Rocket Science either ? 🤔
Most of this stuff I do at frequent service intervals as a reflex, but I have become jaded by most folks general apathy to their equipment's maintenance over the years... 😕
I chalk it up to human nature but that gets kinda frightening over time. The box store makes it awfully convenient to toss it out on the curb these days, so I reckon they likely deserve to pay for it... 🙄
