Well, the W has been a money losing operation all along, but I don't think it's been player salaries that's driving it down. A better question than why am I paid so little would be where does the money go? The mandated rookie contract scale is ridiculous, and the salary cap is just dumb. Established players with real talent putting up real numbers end up getting paid as much but not more than lesser players. Any system where the best players do not make the most money is suspect, and any league where the coaches make more money than the stars is upside down.
I would find it interesting if she demanded the world of unrivaled. First, skip $1 million. Make it the same $5M as that other offer, BUT . . . $100K bonus for each flagrant committed against her, and another $1M for any foul that Lebron and Shaq say should have been flagrant, but was not called. Sure, add ownership share in the league if you want. But to do unrivaled where they only want her for the money she would bring? TAKE that money yourself.
At the very least it dictates the level of investment and willingness to display the product in prime time slots. Heck, Caitlin got ESPN to eventually come around, and they’re owned by arguably the most woke company in America (Disney) who would sooner cut off their own arm then give her credit.

Unrivaled shows the difference between Caitlin Clark and the rest of the WNBA. CC wanted to help everyone in the league get a bonus just for playing the Fever in Indy. The WNBA rejected it. Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier started a league to help players make more money, have ownership in the league. But only for 30 players. That means over 100 women are still left to head overseas to earn money. And now after treating CC like garbage all year, downplaying all she has brought to the league. They wanna use her name to get TNT to open up their checkbook more to make themselves richer.
It's heartwarming to see black people sticking up for Caitlin. She's receiving so much undeserved hate simply because she's white and straight and never says anything bad about anyone. I'm a fan of Napheesa, she's a great person and classy lady, but some of the other heads of the Unrivaled league were speaking out against CC all season. FYI Unfortunately the WNBA players can not ask for a real big raise. And, here are some of the facts: WNBA as for 30 years lost at least $10 million per year and that equals more than $300 million+ that they owe to the people who paid the deficit. (The group that covered the losses by the WNBA is the NBA.) A Dream below: Until the WNBA starts making a profit and pays back the NBA they can not increase their incomes substantially. If they start making $100 million a year above their expenses then they could send $70 million to the NBA yearly to pay off the $300 million and have $30 million to spread the wealth.

Here's the rest of a player's skill. Clark is 6-ft. tall and has broken so many scoring and assists records. Would Angel Reese have any rebounding records if she was 6-ft tall? No way. I definitely agree with 99 percent of what you said but I have to ask you to clarify why you and other people think that they deserve a new CBA? My understanding is that the NBA players get a share of the PROFITS that the NBA makes. In the case of the WNBA there is no PROFIT and has been losing money for decades (40 million this year alone). So... Players are being paid a minimum of $50,000 not for a year but for 4 months roughly. I do think they should get a cut of the jersey sales but the reality is the INVESTORS have lost money every year and will probably never recoup their investments and the answer to that is to pay more for a bad product? CC is absolutely amazing along with maybe 10 other players that are great to good but that still leaves the 90% that bring an inferior product to the table. Rewarding a business that loses money for investors every year makes no sense to me but maybe you can take a moment to show me where my thinking is wrong. Just sayin.........

Too bad Cheryl Reeves is coaching the Lynx, because I really like them; they're my second-favorite team. And yes, Arike is playing in Unrivaled. She's one of the few players I'd want to watch, along with Napheesa and Kate Martin.

CC wanted to help everyone in the league get a bonus just for playing the Fever in Indy. The WNBA rejected it.
Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier started a league to help players make more money, have ownership in the league. But only for 30 players. That means over 100 women are still left to head overseas to earn money.
And now after treating CC like garbage all year, downplaying all she has brought to the league. They wanna use her name to get TNT to open up their checkbook more to make themselves richer.

It's heartwarming to see black people sticking up for Caitlin. She's receiving so much undeserved hate simply because she's white and straight and never says anything bad about anyone. I'm a fan of Napheesa, she's a great person and classy lady, but some of the other heads of the Unrivaled league were speaking out against CC all season. Stewart and Geno were two of the biggest haters. Now they want her because she brings millions of fans, I hope she doesn't play there.

FYI Unfortunately the WNBA players can not ask for a real big raise. And, here are some of the facts: WNBA as for 30 years lost at least $10 million per year and that equals
more than $300 million+ that they owe to the people who paid the deficit. (The group that covered the losses by the WNBA is the NBA.)

Thank you for this video. I am an Angel Reese fan also and she should be applauded for finding her niche as an influencer but she is not on the same level as Caitlin Clark.
Here's the rest of a player's skill. Clark is 6-ft. tall and has broken so many scoring and assists records. Would Angel Reese have any rebounding records if she was 6-ft tall? No way. All Angel has going for her is size and hustle. She's not a good defender despite all claims to the contrary. Her skills are high school level at best

I definitely agree with 99 percent of what you said but I have to ask you to clarify why you and other people think that they deserve a new CBA? My understanding is that the NBA players get a share of the PROFITS that the NBA makes. In the case of the WNBA there is no PROFIT and has been losing money for decades (40 million this year alone). So... Players are being paid a minimum of $50,000 not for a year but for 4 months roughly. I do think they should get a cut of the jersey sales but the reality is the INVESTORS have lost money every year and will probably never recoup their investments and the answer to that is to pay more for a bad product? CC is absolutely amazing along with maybe 10 other players that are great to good but that still leaves the 90% that bring an inferior product to the table. Rewarding a business that loses money for investors every year makes no sense to me but maybe you can take a moment to show me where my thinking is wrong. Just sayin.........
