Really love the new channel logo and UBT sticker on Dale!
Thanks man! I’m not finished with either! lol
Good stuff . I'm commenting while the ads play . I didnt skip them . You can see the progress in your welding ability
Much appreciated Bud! $$$$$$
drop my truck, shorted the frame, swap it LS all by myself...but body work? damm this is the hardes part for me to do and your doing a great job on yours keep the good work!
Thanks Sly. I do it because I'm cheap and have a hard time paying someone to do something I'm capable of. Having said that, I certainly appreciate why body shops charge what they do! It SUCKS!!!
Vary nice work sir keep up with the update and I'll keep watching making plan for rust repair on my Jimmy soon
We'll be driving ole Dale Just as soon as spring gets here!
Bahahaha either you're out of gas or you don't turn the gas on!! I'm starting to see a trend here.
OK! Now I'm beginning to think you're looking for gas related videos! lol I have a whole playlist on running out of gas on purpose called "Distance to empty"! ua-cam.com/play/PLTnR0tX8tZBsLop0j7VbS6hKK5bUyYY72.html
@@OldeCarrGuy That's dedication!
And then, friends of mine just fiberglassed their rocker panels....hmm.
Guess it must have passed inspection, barely.
Fiberglass has its place for patching, just not for structural.
Great job. Admitting you are no welder or body man means a lot. Not having that know it all attitude is a refreshing approach to your UA-cam Channel. Waiting on the lowering job of Dale..Great channel great content......BTW , like the UBT shirt...........
Well, I do know a lot about a lot of different things, but this whole fake it til you make it BS is for the birds. Either you learn how or move out of the way! I choose to learn! Thanks for being a part of my channel Paul!

Right on! Thanks Dennis. Thanks for taking the time to watch and for still having the passion.
@dennisrockwell7834 you want to sell any of them?
Great job, looks amazing, where did you buy the outer rocker replacements? I’m in the process of replacing on my 83 c10
They actually came with the truck when I bought it. I would recommend AMD (Auto Metal Direct) for your patch panels.
Nice job - nice beard.
Thanks and Thanks!
Shouldnt be to hard to color match that. Looking good
Its all mixed, but i may spray a tester to be sure!
Great Video I have an 85 Chevy Crew Cab in need of all rockers & cab corners replacement.. Where can i get those parts?? Thanks ahead of time..
These ones came from Brothers Trucks. Very good quality!
UA-cam is infinite on info and knowledge ... I think is what you where trying to say at the end ... ha !! Can’t wait to see dale all lowered awesome content bud !!!
See! You got it on the first take! lol Should be starting that very soon!
Great video Jason
That front fitment was fantastic! You're becoming such a natural, haha. I really have almost zero motivation to get into body work. Like that you left the outtakes in line with when/where they happened.
A) Just like everything you get better with practice. B) There were more outtakes, but i may keep this style for the good ones... lol
Heck yea do it for dale..... lol the bloopers....
Yeah buddy!
Great job Jason at this rate it will bee ready for antique truck show in owls head this summer
Haha! I'll be ready by St. Patricks day! lol
Looking to buy a K10 that needs body work, (ironically almost the same type of work you were doing) do I also need to remove the cab?
I’f you’re replacing cab corners and rocker panels , you do not need to remove the cab!
@@OldeCarrGuy perfect because I don’t have that type of equipment
Truck is looking good.
Thanks Erik. Getting close!
Dale is coming along nicely.
Indeed he is! Thanks Steve!
Is there a reason you dont do the inner first?
I did the outer first to ensure proper alignment on what you can see fro the outside rather that what you can’t.
Olde Carr Guy awesome im trying to replace my rockers on my 77 right now! Thanks!
How can I contact u ? I need this type work did ?
Instagram or Facebook, but I’m in eastern Canada and very much a novice when it comes to body work and welding!
Great video and Dale is coming along nicely. Cannot wait to see a lowering kit put in. 👍😎
Shouldn’t be much longer! A week or so!
What type welder are you using?
Hobart 110v
Olde Carr Guy What wire and wire size and settings are you using? I’m about to start on my 84 and want to make sure I get the right stuff from the weld store. Thanks and awesome work!
Great job
Thanks Bud!
you're in the home stretch. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Bud! Soo close!
So you just make spot welds along the whole joint? Not just lay a bead in it for the whole joint?
Yes. If you try an lay a bead the metal will burn through. I was learning a I went.
@@OldeCarrGuy thank you sir Might have to try it out 😏
Ordered my cab corners/rocker panels from brothers and they should be here this Friday. Gonna watch this video probably more than a couple times haha
What welder do you use ?
110v Hobart Handler
Look at it!
I know! Right?
A YEAR LATER THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO , IT IS STILL GOOD INFO AND I LIKE THE TIP 1/8 THEN 1/2" DRILL BIT ON THOSE RASCALS ! THANKS AGAIN AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!
Glad it helped
Rose bud welding is a great method to use for the inner rocker panels
Rosebud? I guess I'm still learning!
@@OldeCarrGuy you drilling holes and spot welding in them holes to affix piece to other piece is also known as rose bud welding
Hey buddy thanks for the video. What did you use to treat the floor panel so it wouldn't keep rusting?
It's a product called Rust-Off i get at my local Napa. But any rust converter should do the trick! Thanks for watching.
What model?
I believe its a Handler 123.
