@@MarkPattersonAccentMarkPhoto he came on the show expecting to get torn into, and he has to know that not remembering a large purchase like that would get him in trouble anyway. It all doesn’t make sense, it’s gotta be something more embarrassing/illicit then simply buying a game console or an expensive electronic. Also, the guy obviously has a pretty high tolerance for embarrassment considering he admitted to going into a thousand dollars of debt to join an obvious MLM. Again, it doesn’t add up, no way you admit you’re dumb enough to join an MLM yet are embarrassed about buying a ps5, as if that’s more embarrassing then buying a 1000$ tablet and a 1500$ phone

fr, and the fact that some of the other purchases he made were "steam games" you KNOW he is a gamer and wasting money on video games when he really shouldn't be. I bet he was just embarrassed to say it, which doesn't make sense if he came onto a show to get financial advice. Why lie and hide the truth that Caleb could have used to help him budget. All he would have gotten is temp lashing and that's it.

@@dr6770 the worst thing about him spending money on steam games is that you can pretty much just play the steam marketplace as a little hobby and that will allow you to get games for free while you are playing a game. When I have the time I will play a few cs matches a week and sell the skins. It works out to about minimum wage but only if you never put more then an hour or two into it because you will only typically get skins in games during the first hour you are playing.

Funny thing is that our tax authorities in Poland kinda do that. I have heard about a guy who went to Thailand which he claimed was a business trip. He posted pics on instagram and stories where most of the time he was laying on the beach and drinking. Tax authorities denied his right to claim any expenses related to that trip as business 😂 also I have heard about a guy who was audited because of stuff that he posted on social media. Basically he was showing off cars and trips that he couldn’t in any way afford with his taxable income he reported. So I wouldn’t be surprised if tax authorities acted based on stuff like financial audit. I am a tax professional from Poland and basing on our law, there’s nothing prohibiting TA from doing that, as they can audit anyone they want.

In California it now takes 8-10 years to pay off solar, depending on your bills. There are no state incentives, only the federal tax credits and you are looking at about $10-20K out of pocket for a system. Also they changed the rules with the utilities so they now pay almost nothing for power, so you will also want a battery for another $10K. I bet they told him he’d be making mountains if money in the next 6 months and he believed it. And then the online marketing company… sounds shady all around. Not really surprising that he has this attitude about paying taxes.

Hey Caleb! Not sure if you'll read this, but I've got to tell you about how life-changing your content has been for me. As of today, I have paid off all prior debts excluding my student loans; I had a particularly egregious debt of about 2.8k with a 35% APR, which I saved aggressively for 2 1/2 months to finally get rid of. Seems like I just needed the fear of God to set me straight, or in this case, the fear of Caleb screaming expletives from my computer screen!

It was a good episode as he had some of the frivolous spending that some of the lower income guests get criticism from Caleb for (If I remember he had Starbucks every day). A good example that you can do that stuff 'when your house is in order.'

Just wanted to throw this out for people who have degrees but find themselves struggling to find a job. The state of Florida lets you begin the process of becoming a teacher on a 3 year temporary certificate just just having a degree. It could be the consistent income (health insurance, retirement, etc.) someone needs to get headed in the right direction. The teacher schedule also allows for a lot of side hustle options.

This story of his keeps changing. He won hundred percent said that he had to pay his parents back and his roommate back before the IRS. And then it changed. I don’t know how Caleb doesn’t have a heart attack dealing with these people.😂 AXS was his concert ticket! $150 charge. This guy is something else! He spending over $200 a month on his energy drinks and taquitos but then he won’t spend $300 a month on health insurance. He needs to understand that one time going to the emergency room cost, and thousands of dollars! He is so scatterbrained he almost needs a personal assistant to keep his life together.
