Our understanding behind the molecular mechanisms that mutations have on their protein’s function has advanced rapidly, yet drug development focusing on correcting these mutations has proven challenging. Atlas Venture is tackling this issue head-on with the creation of Rectify Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company that focuses on generating small molecules that can restore mutant protein function. Nucleate was thrilled to have Jason Rhodes speak about the inception and creation of Rectify Pharmaceuticals, and teach us about the Atlas Venture model of venture creation!
