Ive stopped at 30mins after cop shot them, i don't want to watch more as i don't want to spoil it. I like the game, is it out soon? Thanks for the preview. This games really reminds me of choose your own adventure books I loved as a kid and Hugo's House of Horrors, great retro game I played growing up.
I JUST realized in The Quarry, the humans heal if they aren't killed and become werewolves themselves, gaining super strength and speed. So the "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger" thing is a huge indicator for that. I may be looking too deep into things but I think that makes sense

Thanks, and Goodbye But when Pharaoh saw that relief had come, he became stubborn. He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had predicted. -Exodus 8:15 The ancient Egyptians worshipped the Nile River, which included the god Hapi, who was considered the god of the Nile. Obviously, this river was important to them because it was a source of life. So, when God sent ten successive plagues on Egypt, He started by turning the Nile River to blood. It’s worth noting that the ancient Egyptians were fanatics about cleanliness. Thus, to have their beloved Nile suddenly turn to blood was a severe judgment. God was saying, “Here’s your god. Where is he now to save you?” Then Pharaoh’s magicians came along and turned what little clear water that was left into blood as well. Of course, it might have been a little more impressive if they had turned the bloody water to clear water. However, Pharaoh’s heart simply grew harder, and he persisted in his rebellion. Next came an invasion of frogs. In addition to the Nile, the Egyptians worshipped a frog-headed goddess called Heqet. In effect, God was saying, “You want gods? I have gods for you. Let the festivities begin.” Everywhere they turned, there were frogs. The Bible tells us there were even frogs in their beds and in their ovens. Amazingly, Pharaoh had his magicians come in and imitate this plague with even more frogs. But this was getting on Pharaoh’s nerves. He called on Moses and Aaron to get rid of the frogs. In Exodus 8 we read, “So Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh’s palace, and Moses cried out to the Lord about the frogs he had inflicted on Pharaoh. And the Lord did just what Moses had predicted. The frogs in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields all died” (verses 12-13) The land stunk with the odor of dead frogs. But then we read, “When Pharaoh saw that relief had come, he became stubborn. He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had predicted” (verse 15) In other words, “This one is getting to me. Call on God. Get me out of this.” So, that is what Moses and Aaron did. God answered their prayer, and the frogs died. And when Pharaoh saw the crisis was over, he backed out of his promise. This is typical of some people today who call out to God in desperation. They find themselves in a mess they created, so they cry out to God for help. But when He graciously condescends and helps them, they essentially say, “Thanks, God! See You next crisis!” A hospital chaplain kept a record of two thousand patients he had visited, all apparently in a dying condition, who showed various signs of repentance. Among those who had been restored to health, the chaplain felt that only two showed a marked change in their spiritual lives after their recovery. In other words, when people thought they were going to die, they called on God. But when they recovered, they basically forgot about Him. Let that not be said of us.

I don't know about that one, surely those creatures would lurk outside the cabin and gun shots would be heard. Or the creatures themselves would mess with them, they would freak, someone would run out to call for help.....etc.

@@sergeantD14 first of all, *would have. second of all, laura’s never met mr. hackett before, and he’s an older man-if he was hard of hearing, he might’ve simply not heard her, or he could be afraid of her because she’s a stranger on his property in the middle of the night; it’s not like she introduced herself while looking through the crack in the cellar door. it’s *unlikely*, given that he’s maybe in his 50s or 60s-not exactly elderly, and so not likely to be losing his hearing due to old age-but it’s more reasonable than immediately jumping to “THAT MAN IS SOME SORT OF SUPERNATURAL CREATURE!!!”.
What makes the story great is that Jacob was the one that started all of this, and he was the only one from their friend group to die. I wonder how everyone felt from this loss.
I'm not sad that he's the one to go; like you said it was all caused by him in the first place bc he couldn't accept the break up lol. Jacob and Nick were my least favorites. Both way too clingy
1. Every counselor could of easily fit into Chris's SUV so he could of got them to safety. Also Jacob could of easily threw the piece back into the van once shit got serious and got everyone home
That and the girl who Jacob talked to before tampering with the car in one of the choices would have realize what had happened and told on Jacob. Why didn't she put two and two together??

I was making my own decisions as you went and ours lined up like 90% of the time so that was neat too.
I find it funny when Kaitlyn and Dylan return to the Cabin to wait for the Attack, and Dylan just stops existing the moment they start running from the monster. And after Kaitlyn's QTE are done Dylan pops in from nowhere completely unharmed by the monster, like it was a bit too glaring they had to budget cut the cutscenes for the part to exclude Dylan no matter his previous outcomes.

@@silhouby Of course! I can't be an enormous horror fan without loving the Evil Dead franchise! This game reminds me so much of Army of Darkness, Howl, and Wrong Turn that it feels like its own special brand of horror movie, which make s be dissappointed that all we have to go with as far as good horror movies these days goes back to the older werewolf movies like The Howling and the American Werewolf movies. I appreciate the effort. But it's not really a game. It's more so a movie. I clicked through the video at least 30 times and it's all cutscenes. It's a good movie for sure but it's not really a game.
That's an impression of the voice of Rod Serling, who created and narrated "The Twilight Zone". Funny thing is the impressionist, Mark Silverman, actually helped recreate Rod Serling for some other "Twilight Zone" related projects. He provided the voice over for Disney's "Twilight Zone"-themed ride, Tower of Terror, and he was featured in Jordan Peele's 2019 revival of the actual series.

MKICEANDFIRE, UR THE GOAT.. I LEGIT HEARD ABOUT THIS QUARRY JUST SO RECENTLY AND YOU'VE NOW COMPLETED THE GAME AS EARLY AS EVERYONE... dude ur the best, been watching for years now..
Am I the only person who thinks Emma is the least likable character? Jake was a close second. I kinda felt bad for the guy but there were times it wasn’t exactly easy. The Hacket mother really ticked me off with how she treated Travis. I feel like she definitely deserved to lose her dome
This is another problem with this "game": most of the characters aren't likable in the slightest, therefore, when I'm experiencing this "game", I honestly want everyone to just fucking die, so the horror aspect of it is completely gone. I do not care if a character dies when I hate the fucking character, why is it so hard for writers to understand this, like, what the fuck.
@@IBM-5100 It's old 80's slasher tropes. Part of why I'm not into the slasher genre, it's not really scary it's just spectacle. I was surprised they took the time to humanize all the final characters in House of Ashes, probably to stave off assumptions the devs were trying to make a political statement. The idea is to soften the blow of characters dying--it's how so many people are able to enjoy the killer as a character/icon. Again, I'm not someone into slashers but that's the logic. As long as it's cool and the characters they kill are kinda shitty, people can like them and not feel bad. The good-end goal is for everyone to live but if you flub and let them die they still want it to be fun and not feel too punishing, which is easier with asshole character. If you remember with Until Dawn, a lot of people were pissed about how easy it was to get Matt and Chris killed, because they were some of the only characters who didn't seem to naturally gravitate toward being an asshole, inciting incident excluded. I remember kind of hating everyone in Little Hope, too and a few of the main characters in Until Dawn were AWFUL. It's scary if you give a shit about the acheevo/human life but if you want to run through the story clowning it you can still have fun without feeling like too much of a sociopath. Sorry for long comment, I've had a long, weird relationship with this series and how it's evolved.
I have to say supermassive has definitely mastered creating masterful horror genres, heck i wouldn’t be surprised if their dark anthology series gets a TV production

No but I actually grew fond of Sam, Mike and even Josh. While on the other hand I couldn't find anyone here who was the least bit likeable, maybe Travis...?
Gotta say I was hesitant at first. Typical American Teenager-Horror movie beginning, BUT I was pleasantly surprised with: - A complex story that developed its depth along the way and stayed interesting. - A nice amount of characters (not too many to be confusing, not too few to be boring) - All main characters and major side characters were decently fleshed out in behaviour, dialogue as well as the options to chose from. There were so many moments where I was sitting kinda baffled at how fitting and good the dialogue was (especially the humor that fit the situation without taking away from the brutal tonality) Overall great game and great playthrough! Thank you so much!
This and house of ashes are a return for these guys to really good interpersonal dialogue which is the strength of their studio. The banter was great in this one.

The environment of this game is really beautiful but the character's modeling is really stiff and kind of unsettling. That being said, the storywrite is good. The gameplay leaves some things to be desired as sometimes you can hear dialogue being echoed back and sometimes there's no audio in between dialog and story cinematic moments. Seems like an interesting game overall.

@@jirikurto3859 I’m grateful for your kind sentiments. However, I do not. I’m an individual who insist on being covert and inconspicuous. Also, here’s a statement I must convey. Man, when I first played this game, I did not understand what was happening, game design wise, and I HATED it... but after playing with it a little more, it really grew on me and I grew to REALLY like this game a lot! Interactive Stories are pretty cool!
Honestly while the entire game was pretty solid I was a bit disappointed with how the ending played out. I was expecting a big final showdown between Laura, Travis, and Ryan vs Silas with a bunch of qte's and stuff. Didn't think it would take just running him over and one shot to kill him. Like isn't he supposed to be the strongest werewolf still alive? I was just left wanting more I guess. The rest of the game was good and had some funny moments and some genuinely terrifying moments. The werewolves were definitely the best parts and I loved how they looked. I also like you're led to believe that Emma is the typical mean girl but it turns out she was trying to get Nick and Abi to confess their feelings albeit in her own way. We also see that she wasn't just being mean when she broke up with Jacob. The dude literally sabotaged the car to have one last chance with her.
The dialogue with the black kid at times seems so inappropriate like he just took his friends hand off with a chainsaw and now he's back to stoner banter
@@TwistedFireX I don't understand why you'd think that? Not a bot, just excited for a game that doesn't have the most awkward dialogue system. It actually sounds like a group of gen Z kids the way they speak.
Okay and how about starting at 2:53:45?!! Jacob pops up covered in blood from the hillbilly guy encounter, tells THE WHOLE STORY without the CRAZIEST PART WHERE HE GOT SMEARED WITH BLOOD?! So Ryan is forced to ask wtf is up with the "strawberry jelly". To which Jacob responds: "PRETTY SURE ITS BLOOD BUT ITS TOO LONG OF A STORY TO TELL" MY BROTHER IN CHRIST YOU JUST TOLD THE WHOLE STORY WHAT DO U MEAN. This has to be the CLUNKIEST, MOST UNREALISTIC WAY OF CASTING SUSPICION ON SOMEONE.
Thank god we see the whole game from start to finish we don’t have to wait for episodes like other UA-camrs plus i love how this game based on Upstate NY I live here
i dont get why the hunters come off as being mean and killers instead of them simply telling the counselors that they’re trying to help that irks me so much
I enjoy interaction games where the ending has many different endings depending of the choices the player makes but what bugs me about this game is it drags along in spots that seem to take forever. I couldn't watch a seven hour movie where characters are having conversations over and over about non suspenseful boring stuff. I understand it's character building but it doesn't have to take forever to build a character, if it's too short the audience won't care about the character, if it's too long I tend to stop caring about the character because I get annoyed due to too much building of the character. IMO there is a sweet spot in character building that's right in the middle of too short and too long
On July 12th there was a full moon (the day max became a werewold at the prison). What did Chris do during that time? didn't he become a werewolf? Didn't the hunters show up? I assume they were still on the camp since it started on june 25-26. Laura said they they were going on the camp one night earlier and the next day were they wake up in prison is probably the day the camp started ( june 25). I cant wrap my head around this.
I like this game but I find it so ridiculous that they keep calling the demon spawn an "animal" or "bear" even though a few of them have already seen wtf it is, something clearly unnatural. Also some other dumb moments that contrast that at 3:42:20 where somehow the only solution is cutting off your hand (which is a life changing event btw) is apparently the only solution and a quick decision made, yet they're just "animals". It's just bad writing, what else can I say without going on a tangent.
Just finished watching and I couldn't find anyone who was the least bit likeable. Well maybe Travis...? I think Travis would be my favorite character, it's easier to empathize with him because of all the family crap he has to deal with

But when Pharaoh saw that relief had come, he became stubborn. He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had predicted.
-Exodus 8:15
The ancient Egyptians worshipped the Nile River, which included the god Hapi, who was considered the god of the Nile.
Where is he now to save you?”
Then Pharaoh’s magicians came along and turned what little clear water that was left into blood as well.
Let the festivities begin.”
Everywhere they turned, there were frogs.
The frogs in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields all died”
(verses 12-13)
The land stunk with the odor of dead frogs. But then we read, “When Pharaoh saw that relief had come, he became stubborn. He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had predicted”
(verse 15)
In other words, “This one is getting to me.
See You next crisis!”
A hospital chaplain kept a record of two thousand patients he had visited, all apparently in a dying condition, who showed various signs of repentance. Among those who had been restored to health, the chaplain felt that only two showed a marked change in their spiritual lives after their recovery.

Damn. That game is pretty good, the facial reactions are pretty realistic. At some point, it felt like an actual movie than a Game.
Until Dawn is better
I’ve watched all 7 hours, i just wanna say it was one of great game story I’ve ever watched, and i wanna thank you MK for uploading this video
There's videogame elements where people are picking up guns. To do what exactly? they were waiting to get a ride home.

Where is he now to save you?”
Then Pharaoh’s magicians came along and turned what little clear water that was left into blood as well.
Let the festivities begin.”
Everywhere they turned, there were frogs.
See You next crisis!”
A hospital chaplain kept a record of two thousand patients he had visited, all apparently in a dying condition, who showed various signs of repentance. Among those who had been restored to health, the chaplain felt that only two showed a marked change in their spiritual lives after their recovery.
In other words, when people thought they were going to die, they called on God. But when they recovered, they basically forgot about Him. Let that not be said of us.
Best YT video of The Quarry Gameplay.. no dialogue, fast decisions and looked great. Thank you!
Raimi does a great job as a creepy aggressive cop! Edit: seeing that dude walking around casually with a knife in his lung was funny!
Lmfaooo 😂
he went to cast Spiderman as Bully Maguire. what u talkin bout?
The choice of game for this longplay is excellent. It's clear that the player has a deep understanding and appreciation for the game, and their passion shines through in every moment. It's a joy to witness their genuine excitement and love for the game unfold throughout the video.
Love the game it was pretty good. Thanks for the no commentary it was pretty damn good 7 hours

Emma is the worst one with Jacob as a close second
Don't know about you guys but I found Dylan pretty annoying too. But yeah, 'ma' isn't exactly a candidate for favorite character
It was Jacob for me. That guy just can't take no for a answer & puts everyone in jeopardy because of it. What a douchebag! 🙄
I have to say supermassive has definitely mastered creating masterful horror genres, heck i wouldn’t be surprised if their dark anthology series gets a TV production
wasnt man of medan based a little bit on the movie Ghost ship?
@@gradovlol actually i think most of their recent games are either based of movies, stories and legends
Damn, i wanted to see what would happen if he kissed Dylan in the truth or dare, they clearly had chemistry.
I ship them too.
Hell nah
This is a great successor of Until Dawn. Supermassive Games is amazing for creating a movie like games.
lol you serious you stories are rubbish been there done it

Honestly, I am just amazed at their ability to make every character unlikable in Until Dawn and the Quarry.
Welcome to gen z. They all are trash
No but I actually grew fond of Sam, Mike and even Josh. While on the other hand I couldn't find anyone here who was the least bit likeable, maybe Travis...?
Good opinion.
I think Kaitlyn, Rayan, and Laura was pretty enjoyable imo.
Right! Every character is so corny, and lame especially Jacob
Everytime I see Ted Raimi I just can’t help but laugh and think “CHET? what the hell are you doing here?!”
This was so good perfect gameplay without commentary. Was like a good movie!
Gotta say I was hesitant at first. Typical American Teenager-Horror movie beginning, BUT I was pleasantly surprised with:
- A complex story that developed its depth along the way and stayed interesting.
- A nice amount of characters (not too many to be confusing, not too few to be boring)
- All main characters and major side characters were decently fleshed out in behaviour, dialogue as well as the options to chose from. There were so many moments where I was sitting kinda baffled at how fitting and good the dialogue was (especially the humor that fit the situation without taking away from the brutal tonality)
Overall great game and great playthrough! Thank you so much!
This and house of ashes are a return for these guys to really good interpersonal dialogue which is the strength of their studio. The banter was great in this one.
The story is trash, The gameplay also fucking sucks you can Barely even call it gameplay it’s more like a shitty horror movie

Yes really stiff.. looks like they’re trying to talk around a mouthful of rocks or something
Uncanny valley.
Either that or Man of Medan's constant grinning characters
I thought the sound cuts was copyrighted lmao
The sound cuts are for copyright reasons
I read that this game has 186 different outcomes. I can't even process the amount of planning and branching that took.
The visual details in the faces are getting more and more real, i't so fascinating!!

Excellent. I’ve been waiting forbearingly for this magnificent masterpiece. Here’s hoping it’ll be a grandiose spectacle, parallel to Until Dawn.

Man, when I first played this game, I did not understand what was happening, game design wise, and I HATED it... but after playing with it a little more, it really grew on me and I grew to REALLY like this game a lot! Interactive Stories are pretty cool!
Now that's how you make a horror game get some iconic legendary horror actors
The story & dialogue & direction in this is fantastic!
the dialogue is fantastic? everyone seems super socially awkward

Omg the FACIAL EXPRESSIONS are out of this world! The graphics are beyond crazy! The story is so cool! What a game!
Laura: kills dude's entire family
Dude: wants to help her anyway
Laura: "I won't forgive you for what you did"
Ma'am i think you lost a brain
The dialogue with the black kid at times seems so inappropriate like he just took his friends hand off with a chainsaw and now he's back to stoner banter
Just watched the entire thing thanks for the content! 🤙🏼

Only 30 minutes in and the main characters already have chemistry I've never seen represented before! I am VERY hopeful for the last 6.5 hrs!
Wtf lol
These have got to be botted comments right?
@@TwistedFireX I don't understand why you'd think that? Not a bot, just excited for a game that doesn't have the most awkward dialogue system. It actually sounds like a group of gen Z kids the way they speak.

Okay and how about starting at 2:53:45?!! Jacob pops up covered in blood from the hillbilly guy encounter, tells THE WHOLE STORY without the CRAZIEST PART WHERE HE GOT SMEARED WITH BLOOD?! So Ryan is forced to ask wtf is up with the "strawberry jelly". To which Jacob responds: "PRETTY SURE ITS BLOOD BUT ITS TOO LONG OF A STORY TO TELL"
MY BROTHER IN CHRIST YOU JUST TOLD THE WHOLE STORY WHAT DO U MEAN. This has to be the CLUNKIEST, MOST UNREALISTIC WAY OF CASTING SUSPICION ON SOMEONE.
It's a horror "game", don't think too much about the plot otherwise you'll get a headache from how poorly written things are.

Not sure how this ended up in my timeline. I looked and saw 7 hrs of gameplay. I don’t know who you are but you earned my subscribe from one vid 😂😂😂
Since I might not be able to play it (due to lack of device), I do really enjoy the whole gameplay - like a movie! Spent a day watched it😅
i dont get why the hunters come off as being mean and killers instead of them simply telling the counselors that they’re trying to help that irks me so much
Bro just casually drops 8 hours of gameplay. Let me have 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of school and the rest of my time I will watch this video😂😭
I've been watching this channel for years; I wonder who is under the mask of this channel...
IMO there is a sweet spot in character building that's right in the middle of too short and too long
Dude thank u so mush for this ur taking all ur time putting this together thank u!

Ryan: "were not in a movie"

My exact response when I played ,"ummm but my dude you're in a video game that's like a movie'

The way Justice Smith looks so bored on how he acted and voiced Ryan lol
The way how they made this game looks so realistic it is so cool

26:02 Max: You've seen the evil dead, right? that cop really looked like the director's brother
I love that you chose options that feel the most human and the most like the characters and not just what you think is the “good” option
Thanks bro! Saved me $70 :D
Um clearly Chris holes himself up during the full moon. Hence why his brother tried not to kill him when Max got bit by him.
Hard agree

There's just something off with Emma's face where she doesn't look normal, relative to the other characters.
