Hello Stefan, thank you for this interesting workshop..Again I learned a lot, especially about the DR7- board and the not expected notchfilter instead of a VOX-pot...As always with the TR7: bad contacts are error #1 !!
Alignment is excruciating, but never boring. Did you find anything noteworthy during the alignment? Was the rig subjectively better afterward? Thanx for the vid.
Hello, some frequencies had drifted, but not relevant. In general, the rig was not better afterwards - the differencies could be only measured. When you have the right equipment, algnment isn´t excruciating; you need time and patience.
Oh how I HATE intermittent issues! This week I repaired my original Apple II computer that had an intermittent...many hours and lots of banging with a screwdriver (after redoing solder connections) and suddenly it works again just like your repair! Very frustrating as you experienced as well! Lucky OM gets back a FB rig! 73 - Dino KLØS
danke viel mals yours was the very first video of this type I have watched. I just acquired a working tr7 station and I have a much better idea of what is going on than before. 73 de ve3mrx Bill
