Strangely, I was just moved to tears. I think we need this now, more than ever!
It Well Be Amazing If Strange New Worlds Starts Like This Intro Can't Wait To See It Live Long And Prosper 🖖
Best looking Enterprise and effects that I have seen. Love return of Episodic TV.
Forever a Star Trek fan. May it never die. 😀
Also jetzt bin ich sehr positiv überrascht. Sieht gut aus und ich freue mich darauf
Translated in English: So now I am very pleasantly surprised. Looks good and I'm looking forward to it.
So good, so good. I can hardly wait for the new series. This makes me even more excited to see the new series!
I love it when a fan-made intro just gives me goosbumps! Bonus for using the Orginal Series engine noise at the end.
Thank you for this video! It gave me chills. I liked TNG here and there but as a first-generation Star Trek viewer (yeah, I'm that old), this trailer you put together made me more interested and excited about Star Trek than any other time since 1986.
I must admit, I am more excited about this show than any other Star Trek that has come out recently (including Picard).
Yeah they shouldn’t have reprised Picard’s character. The end of the Next Generation should have been Nemesis; in the Captain’s ready room between Picard and B4.
Amazing. Probably better than the actual intro is going to be! 👍
Nicely done. The actual opening couldn't be better than this.
The original intro spoken by Pike (with "..5 year mission..") would have been perfect.
Well done! They should still have the original opening spoken by Pike. "Space...the final frontier.... (And the "5 year mission" should be in there too). It would have sent shivers down my spine! Hopefully they will add it to the intro.
If you've ever seen "The Cage," there's no voice-over intro. It just jumps into the credits.
As a second-generation Trekker (1970s syndication era), I have loved Star Trek in all its iterations for most of my life. This video incorporates a lot of the things I have missed about TV series intros in general: actual faces shown with names, a great theme song of a decent length, and proper use of evocative typefaces. I could wish to see some of the other actors besides the top three credited, but otherwise...Well done! And unlike far too many around here who piss on the new shows, I love DISCOVERY, PICARD and LOWER DECKS and can't wait to see this one. Thanks for making an intro they ought to actually use.
yeah, 90ies era tv was so much better than present shows. i regret that i wasnt around for it yet. most things released today are soulless, generic trash. there are a few gems, but theyre far and few between.
as far as the new trek shows are concerned... i watched disco before i got into anything else trek, but after having watched ds9 and voyager, and after rewatching it, i dont like it anymore. not only does it try to redefine star trek when it isnt needed, but on a second watch all the plot twists seem so cheap and predictable, and sometimes just stupid. for example, the cause of the burn in season 3 couldnt be dumber if it tried. all the other mistakes it makes can be excused, for a lot of them its far from the first time for them to happen in trek, but the bad writing kills it for me.
picard isnt bad per se i think, but its not for people who only appreciate classical trek. i personally find it too dark for my tastes, and just a bit boring. that however is also because i dont really care about picard as a character, i could never make myself like him. i feel much closer to sisko and janeway.
lower decks and prodigy however are both amazing, i couldnt be happier. i just hope they give us a romance between the jennifer and mariner, they fit together insanely well.
i agree with deforest kelly's sentiment . " i like all the treks as they tell the story differently." read one novel and have a few comics and played an old dos game many moons ago.
Over all these prequel shows… I do like Anson’s portrayal of Pike though
The other actor that played Pike in JJ film was decent also.
@@neon920 yeah he was, but that crap isn’t trek
See the thing is tho out of all these prequel shows, this is the one everyone actually has been wanting for years
Absolutely!
Wow, it looks like a new Trek series I might actually like.
Depending on how many series they make of SNW, they should introduce Kirks command crew as replacements as Pikes crew are reassigned or killed, and only ever suggest Kirk but never show him
F that bring Kirk back
@@ZR117 Why? That crew is played out.
@@AdmiralKarelia I think thats why cringe face, likevhe fearsvit does not want to see what another Mikey Spock on screen.
@@ZR117 It feels like Star Trek handicaps themselves by going back all the time. I mean it is restrictive, and causes problems with the other continuities. But I see they keep going back...only to not match up in any way what we know or have seen before. Deep space 9 trials and tribblations got it right. Why do.they nit wish to.try. 25 percent differwnt rule?
Yes please. This looks much more like the star trek i remember/loved.
Nice Intro. My hopes be on this series that ST begins to go a better way since DSC.
Yay, more lore for Lower Decks!!! Can't wait. :-)
This is really good. I am quite impressed. Punch it.
Sweet, can't wait to see this.
Super job putting this together. They could almost use this as the intro. I am once again eagerly awaiting some fresh Trek with such high expectations. I usually watch a 50 minute episode of Discovery in 5 minutes thanks to fast forward. Can't wait for more episodic adventures instead of the drawn out space drama.
Let's hope they don't mess it up and make it one long movie divided into many episodes. I miss TNG, where every episode is self contained and deals with different and diverse topics. The longest plot line TNG was a max of 2 episodes.
As long as it's not woke loke the other Star Trek I'll nbe happy
Strange New Worlds is going to be episodic. Similar to TOS, TNG, DS9 and VOY
Dr. Boyce was assigned the Enterprise for the ship’s first 5-year mission. He worked as assistant chief medical officer under Dr. Sarah Poole-April. When Dr. April left the ship with her husband, Captain April, in 2251, Boyce was made chief medical officer, and served under Captain Pike (TOS Novel: “Where Sea Meets Sky”). Dr. Boyce continued to serve on the Enterprise until 2264. By this time, Boyce was seriously considering retirement (TOS comics: “All Those Years Ago”). He was replaced by Dr. Mark Piper (TOS Novel: My Brothers Keeper, Republic).
you know it is not the effects (they are gorgeous by the way) that connects us to this serie infact we are sharing same dream , same vision that what if ...human in space... that excitement inside of us makes the magic of star trek , thank you very much for fullfilling that excitement please continue doing that
About time! Can't wait any longer. good jobs, people.
Im so freakin excited for this!!!
don't be
yay looking forward to it!
Can't wait. After Archer, pre Kirk. Been wondering about those years in between
Are we ever going to get a present day Star Trek, maybenot after picard screwed everything up.
@@cjones3710 "Present day" Star Trek? Like, as in 2021? There'd be nothing Star Trek about it - warp drive wasn't invented for another 42 years, Earth was winding up to World War III.
@@AdmiralKarelia You know what I mean dont be foolish, what would occur after Vgr Deep Space, like the Pocket books wrote about in the Reconstruction of Cardassia, New Deep Space Station, the USS Titan etc, but now we got Picard screwing all that up. Ripping eyeballs out, horrifically graphic violence, and overall a mean Star Trek. Cursing, drug use and poverty on Earth see Picards pallie Raffie, shes a lazy pothead, who abandoned her son, disease and poverty! On Earth. Well anyway, One day I might re read a Pocket Novel.should time allow.
@@AdmiralKarelia There was that really nice Greg Cox novel, well 2 of them from this time.
@@cjones3710 No, I really didn't know what you meant. So when you say "present day" you're referring to post-ST Nemesis?
Visually this looks good. Based on that alone I am very much looking forward to this. Captain Pike! Cool!
I can’t wait to see this show!!
That was great! And once we see the actual opening we'll all wish they'd used yours based on the last openings they've created.
Let’s hope they learned from the Enterprise opening, and that music they used there 🤢
Thank you Discovery for this wonderful gift 🎁 HIT IT!😎
Looks great. I'd like to see some of the aliens be non-humanoid.
Very well done. Almost teared up. Just wish this were the real opening.
you know why this gets overwhelming thumbs up? Because it's good and it's not trying to pass off as official - ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION FAKETUBERS?
Brilliant loved it music visuals all fantastic I hope the actual titles and music can match it.
Cool. Looks really cool, especially w/ a slightly tweaked version of the ST: TOS font.
I So hope this is 150% better than Discovery. enough said.
Stop reading my mind Betazoid!!
Discovery is fine. Nothing wrong with different points of view.
@@paulharding706 has nothing to.do with different points of views
@def0420 of course it does. You think the universe is all the same? Everyone sees things the same way?
STD is .. transmitted disease
So hyped for this. Can’t wait!
super retro super hermosa la quiero ya!!!
This is an underrated gem. 🖖
There's always good music in space.
Beautiful
This made an old childhold trekkie very happy.
Wow! Nice job, guys! And it is premiering on Paramount-Plus 5 May 2022.
OMG yesssssss they finally listened
Yea i would love to see a on screen adaption of the Star trek novel series Star Trek: Destiny by David Mack. Deals with Time travel, the birth of the federation the origin of the Borg and everything that happened to everyone from TNG, DS9 and Voyager. As well as elements of Archers Enterprise.
รอชมเลยยยย คิดถึง discovery❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well done
ST:SNW will either relaunch Trek back its Pantheon status, or be the Death-nail of the franchise. I have very little hope.
TBH, SNW is basically Star Trek returning to its roots both in the sense in that it takes place aboard an Enterprise, adn the fact that this is pretty much in the TOS Era of things, so it's good
@@matthewbrune5490 I'm not concerned with the era, I'm concerned with who's producing the show. - and I have no faith in that team.
@@aaronsynra6867 Nobody cares about what wannabe Gatekeepers think
@@TravKidd For real. These people shit on anything that isn't TNG and DS9. Like, I get it. I loved 90s Trek too. And I was disappointed by the weak pandering of the Kelvin movies, they felt like Star Wars movies in a Star Trek skin. And I'll even agree that season 1 of both Discovery and Picard made some creative choices I didn't love. But it's clear that they're trying, and Discovery season 2 and 3 were quite good IMO. Yes, they're different, but they've got the spirit. Isn't that what we wanted? 90s Trek wouldn't survive today. It couldn't survive in 2005 and that's why Enterprise got cancelled. I'm interested in seeing what they can come up with after the unsatisfying Kelvin reboot.
@Ronald Jacobs the 3rd GTFO here
The beefier, tougher, coolest looking take on the first Enterprise. Well first on TV is now one of my favorite ships. It would have to be this one and the Enterprise C. About the show and its possibilities, one word, AWESOME!!!
Cant wait for this series to start and would like a star trek section 31 series with captain Lorca in comand
Wow! I wish they do it very similar. Nice tribute ... I noticed the original pilot music at the very beginning too. LLAP
That was rather good.
Im so looking forward to this
Can't wait for May...or when the show is released on Blu-ray later this year.
Clever and very well done, now I want to see the real thing.
Eu.estou feliz
I always get the chills, when I see Cpt Pyke...
iremos ver concerteza
Wow! Now this IS great!
The main cast is so gorgeous
Just lovely 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Promising 👍
This looks like a great new series.
This is a good intro well done i like it
Well done! Had me thinking it was a real intro
They should just buy that from you, and save themselves the trouble of coming in 2nd. Lol
Nice! My hopes are high for this one.
Its good, like it.
I'm looking forward to this
I would like to of seen added in all the main cast in the title sequence, topped it off with "Created by.......", "Based upon Star Trek created by Gene Roddenberry", "Produced by......" & end with "Directed by Jonathan Frakes" (although some of this is already there/here, and the director will change for each episode)
This should be the shows intro! Period!
WOW I love how this pays homage to the original series, pressing the rest button awesome!!!!!!! Would be great if William Shatner appears as Kirk of the future at the age he is now!!!!!
He died in one of the movies... cried like it was a really good friend or a family member dying.
Bring back old Star Trek! You don't need big explosions to tell good stories.
I wish 90s Trek was still viable, but sticking to old formulas is what got Enterprise cancelled. It is the order of things.
My pulse quickened))
Awesome
May be it will be good it's just the dam technology errors drive me NUTS
Amazing🤩
Wow. Will we get presented a new Spock every 10 years from now? I haven´t gotten over Quinto, yet.
After the disappointing Discovery and Picard attempts, maybe this one can grow to an adequate space opera. Hope so.
Great !!!
Intro looks very promising. I've been a life-long trekkie since the early 70s and I'd love to see a return to the series core. I've enjoyed for the most part STNG, Voyager and DS9. Enterprise was watchable but iffy at times. I absolutely could not stomach Discovery after 3 eps and never watched it again. That show IMO never fit into ST pantheon.
did you ever watch picard if not please dont it will destroy star trek for you ! Hopefully I can save one person from that experience!
@@daviddoran2116 No, I never saw it. But what clips of it I did see were too disconcerting. Old Data (if you want to impress me show old Picard but Data looking the same), old Q (I thought the Q were immortal) It just seemed to me an attempt to cash in on Star Trek with actors who just don't have the grace to quit when it's time. Plus I'm just not going to pay to see Star Trek. It used to just be on regular TV for decades. But now CBS puts Discovery behind a paywall and when I did watch it I was thinking....a spore drive!??? And that stupid spinning effect? WTH I likely won't see Strange New Worlds either it seems if I have to pay for it. Y'know when I was a kid back in the 70s the future seemed a time of awe & wonder. Now that I'm living in the time I foresaw to be "the future" it just sucks. I hate to sound like every cranky old person I ever made fun of but it seems very few things got better despite computers, phones, tablets what have you . Instead I reduced to choosing among 150 channels of crap just to see the 4 or 5 shows I have any interest in. Well, thanks for the warning! lol
@@daviddoran2116 Discovery is trash, pathetic new age propaganda with nothing useful or entertaining in it.
Discovery. Watch the episode where there's Captain Pike (Yellow cloth guy ↑). He's amazing. People wanted ST about Pike.
@@johnnie2638 You should watch Discovery S2 and S3. They're noticeably better than S1. Remember, TNG S1 was really bad as well.
Strange New "Words", indeed!
New Kirk looks like a game show host.
Bit of trivia: Ethan Peck (Spock) is the grandson of great actor Gregory Peck
Also, Rebecca Ramjn is married to Jerry O'Conner from Slider. He also played the fat kid in Stand By My with Will Wheton.
Seems to be really good!!!
THE CAPTAIN " DAM HES HANDSOME "
SPOKE LOOKS HOT 🔥
So now, we have to get used to anoooooooother crew. Jolin!
Well we already know 4 of them. Some better than others but we still know them.
Teary-eyed.
Nicely done!
Another Star Trek, Hollywood is sure keeping it fresh.
That knowing smile. So are "Spock" and "Kirk" finally a thing! Hmmmm.
Excellent intro!
How cool, can’t wait to watch sea 1 Epi 1
🖖🏼 =/\=
If they see this, they'd be fools not to use this as inspiration.
I'm so excited about this. Please don't fuck it up.
