I'd like to humbly disagree. 1000 vacancies me se only hardly 50 get ias , and sabko ye upar video me mentioned facilities nahi milti and it heavily depends on how your ties are with the govt. kabhi bhi govt revoke and transfer karwa degi if you don't work according to their needs ( personal security , big houses not there in every cadre). Rahi baat respect ki , to some extent it is there. But end mein Paisa hi bolta h. God forbid , pr jab kisi k family me kisi ko koi emergency ho , respect nhi money hi kaam aati h. End of the day , money talks. which is probably also the reason why Gaurav sir ne khud naukri chod di . Also other prominet ias officers (tanu jain etc)

Dog, lawn, swimming pool, gym, indoor stadium, plus unlimited chhutti.. old pension scheme she will get.. and sabse badi baat.. meri IAS dost k paas ek din time nhi tha shopping ka.. bt private waali she went to delhi.. worked in morning hours and easily she did shopping.. and now uske gao k log started contacting her for job. And she is powerful enf now to provide job. She is doing love marriage with a guy who earn less than half of her salary… to maine yhi dekha hai.. govt job me jaate hi ladke ladki matlabi, emotionless, money minded ho jaate hai

For someone like me who is genuinely interested in diplomacy or administration but is feeling demotivated just bez batchmates from school n clg are moving on in their lives by doing MS from US or MBA from IIMs etc. , earning in astronomical figures ..... this session was very motivating in a way.... soo that we do not feel lower than others, n we keep working hard to achieve the goal of becoming a civil servant n serve the nation. Sir,if someone becomes IAS and don't want to stay in bunglow but rather stays in a flat ?If someone becomes IAS ,can he make policy in Science and Technology or Education .Can you please give some great examples of IAS officers who have brought revolutions in India.I am highly inspired by Master Da Surya Sen ,Netaji ,Bhagat Singh ,Binay, Badal, Dinesh ,CV Raman,Meghnad Saha and others who sacrificed their life for motherland and science .
IAS officers don't make policy. They just oversee their implementation. And if you're really interested in science & tech UPSC is probably not the thing you should be looking at!

1. IAS can make suggestions (decision upto legislature) 2. IAS n other bureaucrats are tool and expected to have statesmanship value. You may bring revolution if political executives are alike mind like you. Like fictional story, offcourse you can't bring revolution n make changes or formulate any policy. 3. I don't know about accomodation but can certainly say, even if you refuse to live in bungalow n don't wanna have many workers. You will get those money in hand to make your choices.
But these facilities like bungalow, car, manforce etc are just temporary things. These aren't owned by IAS themselves. These things aren't IAS's personal property. Based on the postings or promotions or transfer or deputation, these facilities of IAS are gone. So these facilities are given just for a limited time period. How can we say these things are owned by IAS?

1) People aspiring to be ias should start early so that they can fail fast and learn . 2) currently average age of people who clear ias exam is 27 whereas people in. Corporate starts at 22 so by the time they reach 27-29 they are already earning in lakhs . 3) with age limit upto 32 for general category . Students should use this as a fallback medium not the goal of clearing it till the age of 32. 4) create a backup plan, i have seen many students wasting time energy respect while preparing for these exams 5) after the age of 25,26 it will become really hard to stay in your home , colony if you are not doing anything with life 6) preparing for ias exam will not get you respect it will only be good to deviate the question. You'll still be seen as an unemployed berozgar person . That's the reality. 7) IAS is really prestigious and rewarding please make use of this position really carefully. And don't do it just for the sake of these perks, if perks are your go to motivation then being in corporate will give you all above, let me explain. ------- corporate life---- 1) By the age of 27-29 avg person in IT starts earning in hand more than 1 lakh per month. ✅ 2) in India at least we all have maids , cook ✅ 3) We all have our own cars 🚗✅ We don't need drivers we can drive 😇 4) acres of house is something we don't have but yes 3 bhk in good society great amenities like pool , guard, electricians, plumber , massage is something we have really easily. 5) WLB after spending 1-2 years in industry really balance out and tbh we only do real work 2-4 hours a day max . Now with wfh it's really great and even better 😇 6) coming to the main accusation for private sector job SECURITY 🤣🤣. THIS also is just a scare tactics of X people to move away people from service industry . So security wise as long as you have skills you will get new job withi 1-2 months. 7) healthcare , ppf , cab facility, meal card monthly around 2-3 k , utility bill, in COVID times company was also giving internet bills reimbursed., Table chair wfh setup, We all get cab facility 8) 30+ leave in a year . Weekends off + sick leave + last two months goes really easy and smooth as most of the people are on leave

@@bubblewrap9615 the differences I would count would be about the uniform code conducts and salaries wouldn't have a large of difference but the only main thing is that IPS at some point is at its limits of power but ias would be powerful at a point Ie , would be getting authorities in a larger area perspective. 1. The bungalows provided to IAS officers are very old, dilapidated and most of them require regular upkeep . In today's time, if anybody is buying / renting a bungalow, bungalows provided to IAS officers would be the last choice. And rent is not in lakhs, it will be in thousands for bungalows provided to IAS officers. 2. Driver, caretaker, security guard provided to IAS officers are not personal staff of the IAS officers . They are all working as Government staff getting salaries from the Government of India. 3. A bodyguard provided to a District Collector is mostly because of the risk to his/her life as being a DC he/she would have to take certain decisions which may not go down well with certain people. 4. The real difference between packages of an IAS and that of let's say someone working in a top MNC ( both earning in INR) doesn't happen at the starting phase of the career, but rather it occurs at the middle and the later stages. The difference of salaries earned at the highest level is humongous. A MD, President, VP, CEO, CXO will earn 10- 15 times more than say a cabinet secretary or a chief secretary. 5. It is true that the sense of prestige in the eyes of general public is more for say an IAS officer than that of a CEO of a MNC but with changing times and changing level of aspirations, prestige quotient of CEOs of MNCs is rising. 6. The facilities provided to an IAS or for that matter any class - I Government servant is attached to his/her tenure. Once the tenure is over , facilities, perks are also over. If a District Collector is provided a Range Rover, it can be used by a person holding the charge of District Collector upto the continuation of his/her tenure. Once the tenure is over and the person is transferred , he/she might be provided with an Innova. But in private sector, higher salaries allows a person to avail facilities irrespective of his/her tenure. 7. The real reason why anyone should join the services under UPSC is because these services are fantastic career options. Irrespective of perks, facilities or any other thing, the very fact that the services are fantastic career options should be the driving force for anybody to come on board.

A district collector and magistrate is dictated by the rules and not the other way around. 3. Money gives you authority, respect and a hell lot of power. But you have to earn that level of money to command power, authority and respect. A salary range of 56,000 to 2,50,000 is too small a amount to warrant command , power and respect.

All the mentioned facilities are given in case of field posting only, NOT in central postings. If "BUNGLAW" is given, then HRA is deducted. If "Gaadi" is given, TA will be deducted. "Petrol" is given upto a certain limit. Also Rs 15000 will be deducted from Salary, if you want to use that "gaadi" for personal use. That "Bunglaw" is mostly given in Village/Kasbas kind of Area where there is no Swiggy/Zomato etc (my PCS friend told me). The "rent" value of that "bunglaw" must be at max 60k, given the old condition of this (depends upon state and cities also). So yes, if your friend is earning around 40 to 50lpa+ then yes, He/She is in a better position of luxury and comfortability than you being a govt servant. As he don't have to get transfers, don't have to deal with politicians, don't have to work 24*7 during field postings, No life threats etc. And if you want to earn illegal income, then get ready for "Jail", as Central Vigilance (CVC) is on hunt for corrupt officers.

Mere ek friend ke papa ki pistol ka license "illegal" tareeke se ek DM(IAS) ne radd kar diya tha, he went to court and now that DM was suspended and transferred from that city. Power sirf naam ki reh gayi hai, agar 1 IAS signature karne se mana karega to doosra karega, sab kuch "defined by process" ho gaya hai desh me (which is good). I honestly like the idea of helping people out and esp strays but idk the politics thing kinda keeps me away. I can't imagine going through turmoils etc due to corrupt people. At times I feel that one will have to go into the system in order to change it but still I wish there weren't that much political pressures and all those shadiyantras and transfers :')
My perspective... I am confused... Yes IAS gets a better package overall but a person earning in 30- 40 lakhs and above in corporate is living a very stable life(he does not have to constantly shift to different locations) has more work life balance... They have Sat Sunday weekoff and paid vacation, festival off... Mental peace...And IAS has to sacrifice all this for respect...Meanwhile both will hate their own job at some point....

He died many years ago but still his sons and daughters are known and respected by everyone... Actually he earned it as well by donating a large sum to a build main walkway and using the connection we had good roads build on priority basis in my village...

An average IAS or IPS earn atleast 5 to 10 crore in one year but they don't tell ,some officers even earn more than 10 - 20 crore Mostly aspirant know about it they earn 10 times more than salary this is minimum income of officer thays why people of u p. And bihar go there.
The real truth of government jobs is their poor salary someone may think 60 or 70k is a good salary but it's nothing infront of private companies. This leads to more bribes and corruption in the system. Today starting from a Group D employee to a Group A one maximum of them take huge bribes, it may sound harsh but it's reality no can ignore. To stop such things the government should pay good amount of salary to their employees.
@@aryanaditya why 4-5 lakhs a btech computer engineer fresher can easily get a 1lakh per month job and in next ten years he will easily get 5-6 lakhs. Go through data in India salary of a private employee is 3 times more than a government employee. Go and do some research.

Why so much talented people go for a job with salary which is so much less than what private sector offers. Obviously because of power and privileges. And the fact that we all have accepted it as a norm is terrifying.
Meh things are fast changing. If you talk to ias uncles they themselves tell you to not give upsc rather take corporate jobs after iit iim. Only people from lower middle class still think ias as a big deal. Rich Indians have moved on.
I'll never understand why people would dislike the work profiles of such important jobs. I understand people have different temperaments and also there may be bureaucratic and political interferences. But at the end of the day you get to affect people's lives and make positive change. Even in private and corporate you'll have to deal with shitty bosses and unfair toxic work cultures but at least in public service you get to serve the people, that in itself is a source of satisfaction and pride.

I'd like to humbly disagree. 1000 vacancies me se only hardly 50 get ias , and sabko ye upar video me mentioned facilities nahi milti and it heavily depends on how your ties are with the govt. kabhi bhi govt revoke and transfer karwa degi if you don't work according to their needs ( personal security , big houses not there in every cadre). Rahi baat respect ki , to some extent it is there. But end mein Paisa hi bolta h. God forbid , pr jab kisi k family me kisi ko koi emergency ho , respect nhi money hi kaam aati h. End of the day , money talks. which is probably also the reason why Gaurav sir ne khud naukri chod di . Also other prominet ias officers (tanu jain etc)

No, thing is it’s not best,,,.. even not better than corporate. Meri dost pvt me 25 lakh k package pe h.. 15k maid. Dog, lawn, swimming pool, gym, indoor stadium, plus unlimited chhutti.. old pension scheme she will get.. and sabse badi baat.. meri IAS dost k paas ek din time nhi tha shopping ka.. bt private waali she went to delhi.. worked in morning hours and easily she did shopping.. and now uske gao k log started contacting her for job. And she is powerful enf now to provide job. She is doing love marriage with a guy who earn less than half of her salary… to maine yhi dekha hai.. govt job me jaate hi ladke ladki matlabi, emotionless, money minded ho jaate hai

IAS officers don't make policy. They just oversee their implementation. And if you're really interested in science & tech UPSC is probably not the thing you should be looking at!

No comparison, CTC of an IAS is somewhere around 50LPA wo bhi in india not the corporate like 1cr in USA.
Respect businessman. Govt workers work for people
1) People aspiring to be ias should start early so that they can fail fast and learn .
2) currently average age of people who clear ias exam is 27 whereas people in. Corporate starts at 22 so by the time they reach 27-29 they are already earning in lakhs .
3) with age limit upto 32 for general category . Students should use this as a fallback medium not the goal of clearing it till the age of 32.
4) create a backup plan, i have seen many students wasting time energy respect while preparing for these exams
5) after the age of 25,26 it will become really hard to stay in your home , colony if you are not doing anything with life
6) preparing for ias exam will not get you respect it will only be good to deviate the question. You'll still be seen as an unemployed berozgar person . That's the reality.
7) IAS is really prestigious and rewarding please make use of this position really carefully. And don't do it just for the sake of these perks, if perks are your go to motivation then being in corporate will give you all above, let me explain.

1) By the age of 27-29 avg person in IT starts earning in hand more than 1 lakh per month. ✅
2) in India at least we all have maids , cook ✅
3) We all have our own cars 🚗✅
We don't need drivers we can drive 😇
4) acres of house is something we don't have but yes 3 bhk in good society great amenities like pool , guard, electricians, plumber , massage is something we have really easily.
5) WLB after spending 1-2 years in industry really balance out and tbh we only do real work 2-4 hours a day max . Now with wfh it's really great and even better 😇
6) coming to the main accusation for private sector job SECURITY 🤣🤣. THIS also is just a scare tactics of X people to move away people from service industry .
So security wise as long as you have skills you will get new job withi 1-2 months.
7) healthcare , ppf , cab facility, meal card monthly around 2-3 k , utility bill, in COVID times company was also giving internet bills reimbursed., Table chair wfh setup,
We all get cab facility
8) 30+ leave in a year . Weekends off + sick leave + last two months goes really easy and smooth as most of the people are on leave

1. The bungalows provided to IAS officers are very old, dilapidated and most of them require regular upkeep . In today's time, if anybody is buying / renting a bungalow, bungalows provided to IAS officers would be the last choice. And rent is not in lakhs, it will be in thousands for bungalows provided to IAS officers.
2. Driver, caretaker, security guard provided to IAS officers are not personal staff of the IAS officers . They are all working as Government staff getting salaries from the Government of India.
3. A bodyguard provided to a District Collector is mostly because of the risk to his/her life as being a DC he/she would have to take certain decisions which may not go down well with certain people.
4. The real difference between packages of an IAS and that of let's say someone working in a top MNC ( both earning in INR) doesn't happen at the starting phase of the career, but rather it occurs at the middle and the later stages. The difference of salaries earned at the highest level is humongous. A MD, President, VP, CEO, CXO will earn 10- 15 times more than say a cabinet secretary or a chief secretary.
5. It is true that the sense of prestige in the eyes of general public is more for say an IAS officer than that of a CEO of a MNC but with changing times and changing level of aspirations, prestige quotient of CEOs of MNCs is rising.
6. The facilities provided to an IAS or for that matter any class - I Government servant is attached to his/her tenure. Once the tenure is over , facilities, perks are also over. If a District Collector is provided a Range Rover, it can be used by a person holding the charge of District Collector upto the continuation of his/her tenure. Once the tenure is over and the person is transferred , he/she might be provided with an Innova. But in private sector, higher salaries allows a person to avail facilities irrespective of his/her tenure.
7. The real reason why anyone should join the services under UPSC is because these services are fantastic career options. Irrespective of perks, facilities or any other thing, the very fact that the services are fantastic career options should be the driving force for anybody to come on board.
After reading all 7 points, I think that your way of thing is good and you pose sagacious personality. Are you working in MNC or aspiring for this?

2. The power that you are talking about is restrictive and not absolute. A district collector and magistrate is dictated by the rules and not the other way around.
3. Money gives you authority, respect and a hell lot of power. But you have to earn that level of money to command power, authority and respect. A salary range of 56,000 to 2,50,000 is too small a amount to warrant command , power and respect.

Because they doesn't get high package they are the one who get around 30 to 35 which will be around as same as earning 1.5 or 2 lacks per month which will be very easy for ias
All the mentioned facilities are given in case of field posting only, NOT in central postings.
If "BUNGLAW" is given, then HRA is deducted.
If "Gaadi" is given, TA will be deducted.
"Petrol" is given upto a certain limit.
Also Rs 15000 will be deducted from Salary, if you want to use that "gaadi" for personal use.
That "Bunglaw" is mostly given in Village/Kasbas kind of Area where there is no Swiggy/Zomato etc (my PCS friend told me).
The "rent" value of that "bunglaw" must be at max 60k, given the old condition of this (depends upon state and cities also).
So yes, if your friend is earning around 40 to 50lpa+ then yes, He/She is in a better position of luxury and comfortability than you being a govt servant.
As he don't have to get transfers, don't have to deal with politicians, don't have to work 24*7 during field postings, No life threats etc.
And if you want to earn illegal income, then get ready for "Jail", as Central Vigilance (CVC) is on hunt for corrupt officers.

Yes IAS gets a better package overall but a person earning in 30- 40 lakhs and above in corporate is living a very stable life(he does not have to constantly shift to different locations) has more work life balance... They have Sat Sunday weekoff and paid vacation, festival off... Mental peace...And IAS has to sacrifice all this for respect...Meanwhile both will hate their own job at some point....

The real truth of government jobs is their poor salary someone may think 60 or 70k is a good salary but it's nothing infront of private companies. This leads to more bribes and corruption in the system. Today starting from a Group D employee to a Group A one maximum of them take huge bribes, it may sound harsh but it's reality no can ignore. To stop such things the government should pay good amount of salary to their employees.

Ek engineer/ca/lawyers/doctor ne bmw ya sclass leli toh koi kuch nahi bolega lekin ek ias ips ne fortuner bhi leli toh pura income tax dept aur govt piche pad jayega 🙃

Why so much talented people go for a job with salary which is so much less than what private sector offers. Obviously because of power and privileges. And the fact that we all have accepted it as a norm is terrifying.
Meh things are fast changing. If you talk to ias uncles they themselves tell you to not give upsc rather take corporate jobs after iit iim. Only people from lower middle class still think ias as a big deal. Rich Indians have moved on.

I'll never understand why people would dislike the work profiles of such important jobs. I understand people have different temperaments and also there may be bureaucratic and political interferences. But at the end of the day you get to affect people's lives and make positive change. Even in private and corporate you'll have to deal with shitty bosses and unfair toxic work cultures but at least in public service you get to serve the people, that in itself is a source of satisfaction and pride.
Yes in this job officers become main sources of corruption and after cbi billion of money found in their home
I have only passion for IAS and its power to bring changes in India and its development.
