Hey Great video and insightful comments, but I don't think this really explained how the business works. It seemed more like a state of the industry today.
There is not enough lithium to transition from petroleum. Do you realize how many motor vehicles exist and how many batteries it would take to power them?
Given that car batteries have gone up 7+ times in the last year that I have worked at a popular auto-parts chain I wouldn't be putting much faith in electric vehicles. Batteries in general have a fairly short lifespan, the only difference is an electric vehicle battery can cost as much as a new car and are also dangerous enough that you shouldn't attempt to DIY them.
