Prismacolor sells a pencil accessories kit that includes a colorless blender marker. Its a good way to make your pencils blended without burnishing, so you can still put colors on top of the blended pencil layers.
I think the rocks ended up looking *really* good, can't quite imagine what you could have done within the scheme to make them better! I'm still getting scrawlrboxes after a couple of years. You end up with way too many paper pads but it's just such a good way to use art supplies I never would.
It turned out really cute. You were really lucky with the box contents working so well together, it could've been quite a nightmare! I love the concertina book you got and think it would look super cool to do a version of your single colour cat pictures you did, but together as a rainbow so that each section is a single colour, but they blend in order from red to orange to yellow to green to blue to indigo to violet, if enough pages they could actually blend on a single page too. I'd love a colouring book designed like that actually as I'm not skilled with the drawing aspect, but really love colouring stuff in. So if you ever felt like digitally creating a colouring book which could be printed on a nice smooth mixed media paper in a concertina style... featuring cats of course... I would definitely buy one or two! I have been wanting to get the colouring pages you've put on your patreon in the past but we don't currently have a working printer. Or at least not one which prints on paper (my partner has got themselves a 3D printer & has been getting into digital art for modelling purposes).
I love this.Definitely brighter than your usual work but it looks beautiful and you created a wonderful fantasy wold for your adventurer to explore.Great fun watching it come together and seeing it come to life with all the linework.Just fabulous 🥰

This is so cute! You made the pencil work so well! I generally dislike using graphite with any other mediums in my pieces, I don't like the shine and texture unless it's a graphite only piece. XD
This is a great way to catch up with the Scrawlrboxes and I love the art piece you came up with. I'm not sure about the blender pen with the graphite, it seems a bit unnecessary as you could probably get the same result with a paper stump or cotton bud (q-tip) and looks like it would be difficult to clean from the blender pen too. I have always loved blending coloured pencils with the colourless blender markers though, it works fantastically and creates such smooth results.

I think this turned out really cute. The black texture on the rocks actually helps ground them. This definitely has a storybook feel to it.

I’ve lived in England and Wales (currently England) and everyone I’ve ever met calls them bluebells too! It’s not just Sweden. Don’t worry!
I would also call those flowers blue bells 🤔 and I've only ever spoke English- good to know I guess lol.
