If It's methodical and structured with some musical improvisation, it's not "spontaneous". Planning for something to be spontaneous, or leaving room for "spontaneity", is a contradiction. All I hear is overly spiritualized jargon (Churchinese).
It is spontaneous because you're following the Holy Spirit step by step. Perhaps there's order, that's a good thing, you don't wanna surprise people. Bethel has such an awesome worship man.
God is simply a God of relationship, who has already given us every spiritual blessing in the heavens according to his glory and purpose. He often times waits for us to be still and “catch” what he’s saying, which in turn we then speak( sharper than a two-MOUTHED sword). It’s not contradicting it’s just making space for him to speak.

Spontaneous worship is when we are not ready for it but looking for the Holy Spirit to do WHATEVER He wants WHENEVER He wants and it just happens. Whether the band is ready or the people are ready, if it's the Holy Spirit everyone that's with the Holy Spirit will be ready. It won't shock them. If it shocks the people to do Spontaneous worship then they were not ready for the Holy Spirit to move in the 1st place. Got to be ready! It's ALL about God not us!
