Great belt! Gave me good ideas for assembling mine for exploring competitions... I'm definitely putting a turniqet on my belt for ride alongs and different things as well... You never know when you need a tool like that! Thanks for The ideas!! Stay safe as well. We are in a world That loves to hate those that protect us...
Very well made video. One of the best duty belt descriptions I've seen on here and your attached description answered the few questions I had. Agree with your logic on the layout. Only difference is I've replaced taser with OC since retired from LE and only do armed private now.
Nice basket weave set up and video. I got my basket weave Sam Brown Belt 94 buckles and pouches back in 1992 when I was in police science and then the academy. It lasted 16 years I just went to a Bianchi basket weave duty belt with the plastic buckle. I replaced all my pouches after 20 years. I got the same crap on my duty belt like you. My taser, spare chain cuffs, M-4 Carbine soft mag holders on my vest. I have right side, key holder, oc spray, weapon holster, 6360 on a QLS system. My hand cuffs and glove pouch. Left side is my mag pouch, Gurber tool pouch, flashlight, ASP BATON and radio. A lot of crap?!! Lol. To help you out take of your TQ and put it in your vest or pance pocket. Mine is in my vest. We use 2X tasers.
Hey dude.... by far a straight forward no nonsense vid. Someone who obviously knows what they're talking about and backs it up with solid reasoning unlike some of these other Paul Blarts out there. Just with paracord bracelets, obviously you guys in the US military are big on them, but the craze hasn't been such a hit over here in Australia. I understand the true purpose of their use, but honestly I feel they're becoming a bit of a fashion accessory more than anything and or a way of obviously identifying the user as ex military. I agree with the watch part as well. No way I'm falling into the smart watch fit bit craze.
Nicely done but when I was in the Army as an MP I always kept my clips on my right side since I shot with my right hand and it is easier for me to change the clip with my left hand! From one Veteran to another Veteran thanks for your Service and also PROMISE me one thing and that is get back home to your Family as the end of your Shift!
Great video. Just a little 2 cents- if you get knocked on your back- move the cuffs to the front your back will thank you. Plus think daily use mags or cuffs. more vids what's in your duty bag
Cool setup! I start LEO Training for my law enforcement degree this upcoming fall semester and we had to order all of our class gear today. I wonder if my professor will let me get a different holster so I can mount my TLR to my Glock when we do low light stuff haha!
Its been a few years since you posted this but I would suggest switching the F301 zebra pen for their all steel F701 or the tactical x701. Have run both as edc pens, use them daily as a security officer and find them just as good as the 301's without the flaw of the plastic grip breaking
I’m a sergeant in West Melbourne Florida our department uses the Taser x26p and we have the 25 foot cartridge I always have my Taser with the light and laser combination ps the green blast doors is a 25 foot cartridge
Been looking a long time for a video like this so thanks officer. I'm 57 looking for a career as a security guard here in Texas. As far as the belt loops go, does how many you need depend on the size of your waist or how many items are on your belt to begin with?
I'm a civilian who has morphed to a belt system for Every Day Carry. I feel that there is a better system for you guys than the typical duty belt. Maybe we could discuss?
Sorry for the late response. We, LE, are starting to transition to various types of vests. I don't mind the uniform style, but I'm not a big fan of the "tactical" style.
Some departments only require you to have one less than lethal option. OC (pepper spray), expandable baton, and tasers are all less than lethal weapons. As you can see here, he has a taser on his belt so he doesn't need OC or a baton. Also, if you're a small waisted guy, you don't have a whole lot of real estate on your belt to work with. As you can see, he's loaded down that belt almost as much as it can go. Also a big consideration is weight; most duty belts weigh anywhere between 8-15 pounds. All that weight is taxing on the body, especially when running, scaling fences, or running up/downstairs. It's crucial to save weight where you can.
I like how you've thought through the use of your tools. I also like the quote. What radio does your department provide, and do you have an external mic? Thank you for your service.
El Pingu we have specially armed units that can be deployed. There are tonnes in London but if it were to happen in a rural area then it would take ages for them to arrive. You can’t buy guns here though so gun crime is super rare
lewmar321 im sure if a criminal wanted to buy one he could. Criminals dont follow laws. And that would be a shame if that happened in a rural area like u said. They would be helpless
El Pingu yeah true, we had a School shooting in Scotland years ago and since then hand guns have been completely banned. You can get a hunting rifle or shotgun for hunting purposes but you need to get a licence and it’s extreme vetting to get one.
Okay Officer, I got a Couple questions in a list: -When you graduate from the police academy and college, do you got to a station and apply for a career for law enforcement or do you get assigned a station for application? -(this may be a stupid question) How can you know your unit number as an officer? By the way Im planning to be a sheriff in fl pinellas county.
Usually you talk to your department BEFORE the academy. Depending on the academy, they'll either sponsor you for your training, or you go through the departments own academy. Upon being hired to your PD, you will be given your unit number.
Nice setup. I especially like the simple layout. The only thing I would change is to add a glove pouch. I have found that it is always a good thing to have a pair of nitrate gloves on your person at all times. I also have a duty belt video on my channel check it out and let me know what you think.
why do you have two different style handcuffs? if you prefer the hinged one, could you jusy carry that or is there a specific fuction for each style? thanks
A lot guys don't avoid it. I try and advocate that officers keep things off the small of their back. Things like good vest carrers help. I'm not a big fan of the tactical style carriers, at least for uniform patrol, but the uniform style exterior carriers help a lot. Being fit is also helps.
Hey I'm working on becoming a police explorer and I need some tips on what duty gear I should get and for a decently low price and if you know anyone who doesn't use their used police pouches or belts and they wanna get rid of them let me know please! Thanks!
I don't know of anyone locally getting rid of the duty gear. Check with the department you are going to be exploring with. There is relatively cheap duty gear out there, but you will need to look around. I would suggest that before you purchase anything wait and see what you will actually need.
Are there any limits or restrictions of accesories that can be used on your on duty firearm? Or is it a preference, another thing... Are you allowed to use your personal firearm on duty?
We are issued a primary duty gun but can carry back ups. Our policy is that we can't modify the gun, grip sleeves and skateboard tape are OK as are lights
The comments here are hilarious. "Im not a cop and have never worn a duty belt, but let me go ahead give this guy some tips" lmao. I do have a question though, doesnt all this drag your pants down?
Hello first nice video I am new in law-enforcement I am start working in 4 weeks and I actually was asked today what I won't wear we can choose between safariland or bianchi ? What you would prefer ?
The bulk of my stuff is safariland, Ive found it to be good quality, functional, andi like the way it looks. With that said, there's nothing wrong with biachi. Good luck with your career
In the police academy do you ever take off your ear plugs when u shoot your gun during firearm training because in a real life situation your not going to have ear plugs to block off the sound

+cody robinson turner depends how far you take it. Let's say someone's punching you and you Stab or shoot them. Then you're in trouble. Self defense laws vary in each state so once again... Check google.
+wyoptrlcop oh wow. I was expecting it to be a lot more haha. Well I have about 3 years until I reach the legal age to go through the training. Do you have any workouts to be prepared?
I'm not a fitness expert so this is just my take on it. Im not a crossfitter, however, the guys that have tested with us and who are do very well during the pt test. Also look into military and Leo training programs, there are some who post WODs on Instagram. You can probably find out exactly what you need to do from the agency you want to join. I would call during the normal work week and ask to speak with a field training officer or a recruiter if the sagency is big enough to have one
+wyoptrlcop Thank you so much. I know about the whole sit ups, push ups, running pt tests, but yeah I'll definitely look into that. I was thinking about enlisting in the Navy, but I've heard that the PDs do not like people that have served because they get "habits". Other than that thank you for the help and I'll get on in asap. Good luck out there and stay safe.
I have heard that some agencies do not !like to hire prior military, but, prior military people bring a lot to the table and I venture to say that most agencies recognize that.
Daniel Blanco if you go through that amount of ammo either you are a really bad shooter or theres a shooting which by then i would imagine they would have swat or. police with ar-15s and if you dont.... youre fucked
The inner simply serves as a platform for the main belt. We, generally, carry too much to fit it all on a traditional trouser belt and the outer belt needs something to stabilize it, like belt keepers along with the inner belt or suspenders.
As of now, no. Policy dictates a department issed guns. We also cant use drop leg rigs for patrol. And I wouldn't seven if I could. Theyre uncomfortable when seated and don't do anything that a belt holstert won't.

Thanks for the video. Just entering armed security work and found this very helpful. Stay safe and God bless you.
I have that same surefire light for duty and I use it for my edc as well. It is a great light to have! Great choice
Very well made video. One of the best duty belt descriptions I've seen on here and your attached description answered the few questions I had. Agree with your logic on the layout. Only difference is I've replaced taser with OC since retired from LE and only do armed private now.
Those CRKT pocket knives are pretty sweet. I have the Otenashi No Ken model.
Great video its always good seeing what system works of others. I look forward to seeing more from you. stay safe
Thank you for serving our co try, I am glad that your a cop! I am into stuff like this! This is just what I was looking for!!!!! 😊
Nice basket weave set up and video. I got my basket weave Sam Brown Belt 94 buckles and pouches back in 1992 when I was in police science and then the academy. nice set up, be safe !!!
best police belt loadout video I have seen
This one's good, but if you haven't already, check out 'Free Field Training' and his 'Police Duty Belt: A Closer Look' video. Pretty damn good.
Nicely done but when I was in the Army as an MP I always kept my clips on my right side since I shot with my right hand and it is easier for me to change the clip with my left hand! Great video. Just a little 2 cents- if you get knocked on your back- move the cuffs to the front your back will thank you. Plus think daily use mags or cuffs. more vids what's in your duty bag
I agree that stuff on your back is not good. When I wear my belt the cuffs are more on the side than my back
Cool setup! I start LEO Training for my law enforcement degree this upcoming fall semester and we had to order all of our class gear today. I wonder if my professor will let me get a different holster so I can mount my TLR to my Glock when we do low light stuff haha!
Nice setup, may the creators have your back.
also the trailing point seems an interesting tip choice for duty. I mean, its sexy, but I would think a tanto or drop point would be more practical
Thank you for your service.

I'd say its preference as to the number of keepers. I think 4 is pretty standard, I like 6
Thank you for the kudos
hey man is that level 2 holster u have?
I believe it is level 2
its nice man in my academy we wear level 1
bro chill out damn not all cops are like that. i swear i hate those bad cops who give all the other cops (good cops) a bad name.
so why is the setup like cross draw? so its easier to always shoot strong hand?
I'm a civilian who has morphed to a belt system for Every Day Carry.
I feel that there is a better system for you guys than the typical duty belt.
Maybe we could discuss?

We use Motorola radios. We have kind of mix bag of models, we are exchanging old for new. I use s standard mic and an ear piece
Holy shit! That’s crazy. Our guys in the uk literally just have a baton, spray and handcuffs on their belt. Except for specially armed units
lewmar321 that is crazy. What happens if a crazy armed guman trys to kill people.
El Pingu we have specially armed units that can be deployed. There are tonnes in London but if it were to happen in a rural area then it would take ages for them to arrive. You can’t buy guns here though so gun crime is super rare

I like the setup dude
I like the henge cuff case
ty very informative!

Branden's Outdoor Channel he wants to be a sheriffs deputy
good video...just wondering if you carry a baton
Is that a 25 foot green cartridge or a 15 foot yellow cartridge
Thank you for your Service 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
How do you like the TDL belt? Looking into getting one, is it leather or a synthetic? Doesn't say on their website.
good video...stay safe
Hey where did you get the tourniquet holster. that's pretty neat
Nice setup. I especially like the simple layout. The only thing I would change is to add a glove pouch. I have found that it is always a good thing to have a pair of nitrate gloves on your person at all times. I also have a duty belt video on my channel check it out and let me know what you think.
I wore a glove pouch for about 6 years. It started bugging my back so I took it off. I keep gloves in my pocket now. Nice video by the way
how on Earth can you comfortably sit in a car with all this gear strapped to you?
Rick S I wear a duty belt and I've adjusted to it
Lol it's not easy
do you have any retention issues with the flashlight or mag holster?
If you Prefer the hinged handcuffs why do you even carry a chain variant? Why not two hinged?
Those chain cuffs go down pretty small for tiny wrists. I also like a chain cuff for those times when I need to use two cuffs
***** I see. Thank you
why do you have two different style handcuffs? if you prefer the hinged one, could you jusy carry that or is there a specific fuction for each style? thanks
A couple reasons. The chain cuffs are smaller so if I need to cuff people with smaller wrists, and the belly chains we use dictate chain cuffs
How do you LEO guys manage to avoid back pain/ wear and tear on your back carrying all that including your vest?
A lot guys don't avoid it. I try and advocate that officers keep things off the small of their back. Things like good vest carrers help. I'm not a big fan of the tactical style carriers, at least for uniform patrol, but the uniform style exterior carriers help a lot. Being fit is also helps.
Is your grip tape on the glock for 1 hand rack?
Tips for a prep
Where did you get the hinge handcuffs case from I like the open case
I’m in high school. Anyone have any tips on becoming a police officer? I am joining the explorers program in the next couple weeks.
What about the baton
Sgt. Awesome a lot of police officers have stopped carrying batons and carry tazers and heavier flashlights
Id two to one rather have the Taser. But I’d also love to have the baton. Good old fashioned head busting. It has yet to fail.
Sgt. Awesome because it's more. Leatel
I really wanna become a State Trooper.

+wyoptrlcop thanks for the info, and thank you for serving your community. Best of luck in the future
+wyoptrlcop depends on your department. I can use any side arm with any mod so long as I can pass an efficiency and safety test.
Did u have to pay for the belt or did the Academy give it to you for free
Good setup
No baton or nightstick?
The comments here are hilarious. "Im not a cop and have never worn a duty belt, but let me go ahead give this guy some tips" lmao. I do have a question though, doesnt all this drag your pants down?
The Tomcat the belt that goes through the pants loops is put on tight and with the belt loops it holds everything I'm place.
The belt keepers prevent that from happening as they hold the belt up and the duty belt together
What size belt is it length wise?
Where did you get the holder for your flashlight and what is the name of it?
Its safariland, not sure of the model
+wyoptrlcop thanks. Stay safe
the model number is on the back of the holder. would you mind seeing what it says. i need that exact one. appreciate it. thanks.
Model # 30635210. I hope that helps
When I get my gloves, i need a custom made gloves. I have smaller hands
So no expandable baton? Also have you tried to get the taser x2 or is there anything in the works in your company about getting it?
I keep the baton in my car and grab it if I want it. I will put it on during special events. I'm not sure why we didn't go with c2s
do a pratrol vid plz
Do I have to buy the majority gear for my duty belt
what part of wyoming do you work in
Crisper pepper spray
Do you have any experience with the G-Code holsters?
+Luke Greer Only the INCOG, here's the link, and I like that holster. ua-cam.com/video/GphhXM22piw/v-deo.html
Did you have to buy any of the gear or is it all issued to you ?
We receive a uniform allowance every year. About 50% of my gear is bought out of my pocket.
Baton?
Can you tell what brand and model the watch is?
Hello first nice video I am new in law-enforcement I am start working in 4 weeks and I actually was asked today what I won't wear we can choose between safariland or bianchi ? What you would prefer ?
The bulk of my stuff is safariland, Ive found it to be good quality, functional, andi like the way it looks. With that said, there's nothing wrong with biachi. Good luck with your career
wyoptrlcop thank you !!
How do you take a leak without your pants falling down?
You dont carry OZ spray?
How often do you use your multi-tool?
will you record videos some days at work
Highly unlikely. There are safety conserns, the practicality of it, and some people don't like being on camera.
Where did you by all the stuff
when u get in your police car do u turn off the radio on your belt so it want interfere with the one in the car
We use ear pieces so there is no interference, otherwise I do have to turn way down but not all the way off
Ok
In the police academy do you ever take off your ear plugs when u shoot your gun during firearm training because in a real life situation your not going to have ear plugs to block off the sound
at that point your adrenaline is gonna be so high your ears are not gonna give a fuck
Oh ok
How can you keep it from falling down,
should an security guard carry an turnic kit
John Banks Should someone replying to a comment on UA-cam telling the person to use grammar use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation? To fix your comment, it's actually: "Should a security guard use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation?"

Fut
an what do you an think
Which department do you work for?
X-26P that looks like a X3 make sure you know your taser models
It's the x26p look at the cartridge and holster
Future soldier Mav He does know, buddy.
hey would you know if it's legal for citizen's two carry handcuffs
I believe that depends on where you live. Do a Google search for your state statutes and check there.
ok thanks man your awesome
this might sound like a crazy question but if i was being attacked by someone would it be legal to defend myself to be able to get away?
+cody robinson turner depends how far you take it. Let's say someone's punching you and you Stab or shoot them. Then you're in trouble. Self defense laws vary in each state so once again... Check google.
ok
No oc spray? No baton? I hope the taser doesn't fall you because then you have no other non lethal options.
Where did u get the holster from
Hey I'm really interested in becoming a police officer in my county in a few years. I was ccurious of how heavy your belt weighs overall?
I'm not sure about just the belt, but my uniform, vest, boots, and belt is sabout 25 lbs.
+wyoptrlcop oh wow. I was expecting it to be a lot more haha. Well I have about 3 years until I reach the legal age to go through the training. Do you have any workouts to be prepared?

Nice CAT
I have yet to use an actual CAT , but have had to improvise one or two tourniquets
Do officers have any say in the firearms they carry? Or do you have to deal with what your issued?
Depends on the department. In mine you have to buy your own. As a Nat Guard MP I'm issued a Smith and Wesson M&P .40.
That's interesting, thanks for the comment and thank you for your service to the US
+KingCharliemegne really? I assumed you were all stuck with an m9... I ship out for basic and mp training soon..I wonder if I could carry my g19.
the handcuff are real
What if we need to reload agin and we used all of the magazines
Daniel Blanco if you go through that amount of ammo either you are a really bad shooter or theres a shooting which by then i would imagine they would have swat or. police with ar-15s and if you dont.... youre fucked
Where is the baton
what's the use of the inner belt?
The inner simply serves as a platform for the main belt. We, generally, carry too much to fit it all on a traditional trouser belt and the outer belt needs something to stabilize it, like belt keepers along with the inner belt or suspenders.
+wyoptrlcop OK thanks
Where is your batton
In 2016, the flashlight pelican 2380r, the pistol Glock 22 in 40S&W with Surfire x300 or x400. Your handcuff is Smith&Wetson or ASP ?
yo were is your baton ???????????????????????
important question.can you use your own handgun let's say sig P226 with drop leg holster?
As of now, no. Policy dictates a department issed guns. We also cant use drop leg rigs for patrol. And I wouldn't seven if I could. Theyre uncomfortable when seated and don't do anything that a belt holstert won't.
We can carry back up guns.
Now people know what a police officer has on thier belt, good with the crime rate 👏
Pretty sure everyone already knows what kind of gear PD wears.
Morgan Broadhead Exactly, lmao. Idiots now a days.
I don't think you have to be a genius to guess what police officers have on their belts.
Do you have OC spray?
Or is it issued by the department
Where is your pepperspray??
is your gun holster mid ride
Yes it is
what part of Wyoming
