- Here is another video from one of our fossil hunts, make sure to stick around to the end of the video to see the special fossil at the end! This is an insight into the past, what life was like 180 Million Years Ago even before many of the most famous land-dwelling Dinosaurs ever existed.

I know exactly where you are. I found that beach collecting fossils as a child in the mid 70’s. I always kept it a secret and, strangely, never heard other enthusiasts talk about it. Even now with the upsurge in interest in this great hobby, it’s rarely mentioned.
Mums the word!
OMG - 45secs in and you see things whilst i pause the vid and see nothing but water, rocks and sea creatures. You guys are awesome, so knowledgeable and what the internet should be all about. Its very soothing watching Aaron and Shae find what they do :)
I wish you boys could go to Florida. You would have so much fun looking for fossils in the creeks
That would be great! Perhaps one day 🤞🏻
Another exciting, target filled video! It is always delightful when you open one that contains an exquisite specimen. The teeth and croc jaw were so masterfully prepared.
Love the scenery shots too! ❤️
Thanks so much 🙏🏻 Our dad worked his magic on those finds for sure! More to come 🦕🐬🦖🏝️
Another great video! Those teeth were something else, and so beautifully prepared
Thank youu! They’re massive aren’t they!!
💥Aaron💥Shae💥 Thank you for another exciting journey.( Excellent Finds)!!🐊🦕🦖 See you in the next one.
Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed watching this one! See you in the next one

Love watching you guys. .just curious..who was the guy peeping from behind the rocks while you were cracking open the nodules...😂
I’m sure it takes a lot of dedication and time, the drive there the hike down and then the hunt. I wish I lived there. It would be so much fun. 😁👍
It certainly does! But it’s usually worth it 😎
Lovely! You never fail to please.
Thank you, much appreciated! Stay tuned for more 🙏🏻🦖🦕
AWSOME finds there
Lovely selection isn’t there! Thanks as always 🙏🏻

Great video, though. Are ya near Redcar?
It all looks very familiar!
I found a few fossils the other day on Redcar beach.

Beau Travail comme d'habitude🔬🍀🎬Mes voeux les Meilleurs💪💸Alex🙏🌌
Thanks Alex! Nice to hear from you
Love your style. Great videos. I hunt fossils in driveway gravel. (Limestone, and chert)
Thanks so much 🙏🏻 It’s fun isn’t it
Hi, really enjoy your videos ! Still I have a few layman questions out of curiosity.
How does it come that most of ammonites come with nodules and how have they shaped during the time?
How did you for instance find that crocodile jaw and those ichtyosaur teeth, I guess they were not in a nodule.
If you know something about it, it would also be nice if you said a few words on the geology of the coast line and in which layers you can find fossils.
Anyway, keep up posting videos and best wishes from Germany !
Hey 👋🏻 The answer to why nodules form around fossils isn’t entirely known yet 🤔 The Ichthyosaur teeth and Crocodile jaws were found in loose shale, which had started to be eroded and shown parts of the fossil. Then, we prepared it to reveal the rest of them underneath. We’ll try to include more geology in future videos 🙏🏻 Thank you!
I loved your video's how much do time you have on the beach? Before the sea is coming back.
Thank you 🙏🏻 and it depends really, we tend to look for a few hours searching overall
Are the amolites always gray covered?
Whats up Doc??
Sorry ,Bugs got into me:),
I know you and the family primarily search the Yorkshire cliff falls, but have you ever done any other kind
of fossil hunts in other areas?
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Hey Rik,
We haven’t yet but would certainly love to! Will definitely share some of those adventures here if we decide to
Im a little curious how the pyritisation occurs. Is it an interaction between anerobic bacteria releasing hydrogen sulphide, getting trapped and interacting with minute quantities of iron in the matrix? I heard somewhere that bacteria us involved, but it wasnt explained beyond that.
I’ve also heard that bacteria are likely involved, however so far we haven’t found a definitive answer. I’m not sure it is known for certain currently 🤔
How do you find these amazing fossils by cracking open large bolder sized pieces of shale or nodule sized pieces of shale ?
The answer is in you question 😬
@@gdfggggg that’s not helpful
🎉beautiful
17:20 if most of them are empty, why do they even form?
it was funny when the guy popped his head up over the big rock at 32.56 to see what you were doing
💥✌️😮💥

Hot Ginger Fossil Guys always make great videos !!
why are Ammonites the most things you find on your hunts? Why are there so many in one area? [besides the occasional SUPA finds of crocks and Ichthyosaurs] LOVE from Australia 🦘🦘
We hunt in an area which gives rise to predominantly marine fossils. It’s technically possible (but very rare) to find land or air dwelling fossils here. Ammonites and belemnites were almost certainly the most common fossils in this time and are only small. A tiny bit of erosion will allow several smaller fossils like these to be released onto the beach at once 🦘Of course, the Ichthyosaur / marine reptile bones are my favourite fossils to find personally!
